TREEHOUSE HOPE STARTS WITH YOU

Teen mental health in America is at a breaking point.
40% 29%
3.4M of teens felt persistently sad or hopeless in the last 12 months. experience poor mental health. high schoolers seriously consider suicide annually. (20%)1
It’s a call to action. But this isn’t just a crisis.
At TreeHouse, we believe the church is uniquely positioned to respond—not with shame, fear, or pressure, but with presence, belonging, and hope.
The Opportunity Before Us
Teenagers are facing real mental health challenges—but they are not broken. They are resilient, insightful, creative, and full of untapped potential.

What they need is connection. What they need is belonging. What they need is a safe and trusted community that supports them as they navigate their mental health journey. They don’t need to be rescued.
When teens are surrounded by trusted mentors, a safe space, and a path forward, they rise.
Our Belief: Every Teen is Capable of Transformation
For over 40 years, TreeHouse has stood on a simple belief:
EVERY TEEN IS LOVABLE, CAPABLE, AND WORTHWHILE.
We walk alongside teens as they discover their God-given worth, their identity, and their future. Through our unique non-clinical support group and mentoring program, we help teens who struggle with mental health build resilience and mental well-being. And we refer them to local mental health professionals when they need clinical care.
And now, we’re scaling that impact—not because teens are weaker, but because they’re ready for more.

Our Strength: A Grace-Based, Community-Empowered, National Movement
TreeHouse is poised to lead a nationwide movement that unleashes the strengths of teens, churches, and communities.
Our proven model empowers local churches to become hubs of mental health support and belonging for teens.
Through a robust digital platform and donor-supported infrastructure, we offer this model at no cost to the church, so any church, anywhere can reach teens in their community.
Our Approach
TreeHouse isn’t just a program—it’s a weekly rhythm of belonging and support.
It starts with a simple act of care: volunteers from the church pick up any teen who needs a ride. When teens arrive, they’re greeted with warmth, consistency, and a meal shared around the table.
Then, the group engages in a fun, thoughtful activity designed to support mental wellness.
Next, teens break into small support groups—the heart of TreeHouse. In these groups, a TreeHouse-trained facilitator guides them as they share honestly about their week, their emotions, and their challenges. Peers respond with empathy, not advice—offering each other presence, not pressure.
This whole program is faith-neutral, welcoming all teens, while remaining rooted in the truth that God created every teen with dignity and value.
As trust deepens, the connections teens make with volunteers at TreeHouse blossom into meaningful mentoring relationships—offering teens someone to walk with them beyond the group and into the rest of their lives, which also becomes a natural segway into youth group and the church body.
