NFT Trends Putting the NFT into Fashion What do Louis Vitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, and Nike all have in common in 2022? The answer may surprise you: NFT collections.
Nike just acquired the RTKFT NFT brand to bring footwear to the Metaverse - image courtesy of The Verge.
The fashion industry is one of the most profitable industries in the world. Before the pandemic, brands combined annual revenues topped a staggering $2.5 trillion. Over the last decade, the fashion industry has spent a tremendous amount of money, and effort, to digitally transform their businesses for eCommerce and stay on-trend to reach potential new customers online. Gucci, Nike, Ferrari, and Rolex are high-profile luxury brands and IRL market leaders. Since the NFT boom, they have all invested heavily in blockchain technology. They are listing and marketing their own unique NFT collections. Rolex is already listing watches on the leading NFT platform OpenSea. Ferrari has tapped Velas Network AG as a partner for NFTs for the upcoming 2022 Formula One season. 05
FASHION IS A FORM OF SELF-EXPRESSION; IT IS WEARABLE ART THAT FORMS PART OF OUR IDENTITY. WE BELIEVE FASHION EMPOWERS US, AND WEB 3 WILL CREATE ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FASHION INDUSTRY.

Behind every hot NFT project, there is inevitably an even more impressive community where the team, the collectors, and supporters connect and form relationships that help build trust in the brand and spread the word on social media. Being a part of the ownership of the collectibles and the popularity and success of the brand gives your customers a financial incentive to bring in more like-minded people who also act as influencers and ambassadors. This model is a perfect fit with the fashion industry's business practices, and goals, that rely on celebrity influencers and strong word of mouth ahead of their seasonal collections hitting retail. Exclusivity fuels desirability, and never more so than with NFTs, where the perceived rarity of the collectible raises the floor price and drives the fear of missing out (FOMO) for collectors. Both fashion and NFTs give customers the feeling of ownership as a badge of honor, worth bragging about with friends and showing off on their social media. This feeling of exclusivity and ownership creates a strong emotional bond, and loyalty, between the customers and the brands.

Some projects offer additional benefits to collectors, such as whitelisting and personalization which deepens the connection between both. This gives the brand a reason to tailor their products to their loyal customers and boosts the customers' lifetime value to the brand. Dolce & Gabbana recently set a record, with a 1,885.719 $ETH (Ethereum) sale of their Collezione Genesi NFT and physical couture collection of nine items, working in partnership with the UNXD Crypto marketplace. Fashion brands are uniquely placed to lean into Web3 utility to offer their customers tokens that guarantee early access to new collections, pre-ordering discounts, bonus media, VIP admission to IRL fashion events, invites to private communities, and longer-term loyalty programs.

“I’m not surprised by the D&G auction. I thought it would come sooner” Professor Merav Ozair, a leading expert in blockchain and FinTech at Rutgers Business School recently spoke to the New York Times. “I’m not surprised by the D&G auction. I thought it would come sooner,” he added. “We are moving toward a virtual reality world, and when we get to that state - sooner than you may think, in a matter of years - luxury goods will be a part of that world.” According to analysts at Bloomberg, we aren’t very far from this virtual future. By 2024 they anticipate that the revenues from sales in the Metaverse could exceed $800 billion dollars. A large part of this revenue could be tied to NFTs, online shopping, and entertainment. It’s no surprise that luxury brands are scrambling to update their content for Web3 and stay relevant to these emerging technologies.
“Part of UNXD’s thesis is that fashion is going to be one of the first killer use cases in the Metaverse. What’s in your wallet says something about who you are, how you want to be perceived, and what you can do on Web3 platforms, or even in the real world.” 09

Italian fashion label Gucci sold Aria for $25,000,000 as an NFT inspired by its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, auctioned online in partnership with Christie’s. The mixed-media Aria NFT is essentially a four-minute film produced by filmmaker Floria Sigismondi and Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele.

The next trend to watch could well be NFT gaming. One brand already entering this space, surprisingly, is Louis Vuitton who collaborated with popular NFT artist Beeple on “Louis the Game”. The brand offered 200 NFTs to collect to celebrate its 200th birthday as a unique collection for the games’ players, and not available for sale to the general public. The fashion industry is also pioneering other ways for customers to use blockchain technology. Recently Prada, Richemont, and LVMH partnered to create “Aura” which offers product history and authenticity tracing solutions. Customers can trace where a product was originally stocked, where it was sold, the trading activities, where it was shipped, and the DNA of a product down to the origins of the materials sourced to create their purchases. Bulgari, Cartier, Hublot, and Louis Vuitton, have all joined the Aura platform. The immediate future of fashion and luxury brands lies within NFTs that are interoperable, hold utility for the collector, and can be dematerialized. The digitization of a brand, and translation into the Metaverse, offers limitless new creative opportunities to the existing multi-trillion dollar industries and for emerging designers. Brands can engage with customers in completely new ways, from gamification to mixed-media films, to tokens for proof of purchase, unlocking hybrid virtual and physical collectibles in real life, as well as in augmented and virtual reality. The Metaverse provides for experimentation between artists and designers in ways never imagined before - with products and services that will emerge to benefit culture, the arts, media, and influence every aspect of fashion - and therefore our IRL lives. TreadDAO is ramping up to create our own range of exciting merchandise (dare we say fashion?) so be sure to log in to our website and follow the news for early access and the opportunity to be one of the first to own a part of our brand!

Come Fly with Us! The Treat Mile High Club is in Full Swing as we go Jetsetting with the new breed of Digital Nomads
The World is in your hands! Your life, your rules. Image courtesy of govisafree.com
We live in the era of the ‘Great Resignation’. Millions of people disrupting the job market as they redefine their working lives on their terms. The pandemic helped focus people on their quality of work and life balance and for many remote working became the new normal. The internet has allowed us all to stay connected no matter where we physically log in. For the more intrepid remote workers, geography is no longer the constraint. Swapping the grind of the daily commute for an airline ticket and a laptop in hand luggage. Exchanging the doldrums of the office, for sunrise on the beach or a misty mountain view. A new generation of digital nomads has the world at their fingertips and for OnlyFans and social media content creators, the world is the perfect stage (and backdrop, who needs greenscreen in Athens or Rome or the Maldives?) for monetizing their videos, photography, blogs, and podcasts.

Considerations to help you choose where in the world to go to start this new life
“It is always best to know before you go!” We salute you for having that existential epiphany and leaping out of the bath shouting “I am NOT a number dammit, I’m gonna be somebody, I’m gonna be a content creator - I tell ya, I can live and work anywhere!”. No turning back now you’ve ditched the day job, blocked the work number, and are nose-deep into travel guides and top ten lists with stunning panoramic photos of sunrises, temples, islands, mountains, and lots of goats. This is the time to pause, take a breath, and repeat to yourself “It is always best to know before you go!” Use this longish pause to set your expectations and limitations and do some critical thinking about yourself - especially when it comes to daily comforts and conveniences that you take for granted at home - such as speaking English. First, remember this isn’t a vacation or a package tour. You shouldn’t be motivated by pretty beaches and 5-star hotel breakfast buffets (though these things can be a part of your content creation for podcasts or videos later). This is a relocation to settle into a new working lifestyle on your own. Therefore you should do your research carefully and make a list of the things that are most important to you. Not just for work, but also to keep you healthy, happy, and secure through the adjustment to a different country, language, and culture.
15
Ask yourself what you most need? Day and night access to a quiet coffee shop with free, or at least cheap, internet access? Hot and cold running water? A reliable electricity supply without power rationing or brownouts? A relatively stable government that won’t suddenly shave your head and impose forced military service on you? Four solid walls of your own, or a tent with shared bed spacing? A modern medical service for inevitable sicknesses or accidents? Familiar western ex-pats communities to talk with, socialise, advise, and support you? A 21st-century infrastructure that makes it easy and safe to get around? The ability to speak English to the locals and be understood without sparking a diplomatic incident? A place where you won’t starve as they cater to familiar junk food cravings alongside all the local exotic delicacies? Knowledge is the key here, so do your research. Know before you go! (Don’t forget to keep repeating it). When you make an 8000-mile one-way ticket flight for the first time in your life, it really is best to do everything humanly possible to reduce the element of surprise, and so mitigate risk, well in advance. The basics to really consider for peace of mind are work amenities, infrastructure, local resources, and community services - such as the police and medical agencies. Read up as much as you can on your destination in forums and look for rough guides from real people. (Not paid marketing comments or planted fake 5-star reviews). Nothing can be worse than getting caught off guard once you step off the plane to your imagined paradise, only to find you are really frustrated and disappointed with the mundane reality, and now regret everything.

WIFI Connectivity
“You may not be sleeping on a Tuareg rug under the stars, but even the bigger tourist centers may be handicapped by very poor local digital infrastructure” On your quest for the ideal digital nomad lifestyle don’t forget the two tools you’ll always require to get yourself online virtually, wherever you physically happen to rock up. A laptop and a reliable internet connection. It pays to do your diligence and research what others are saying about the country's telecoms service providers, the area, the city or town, and the popular cafes or shared co-working spaces. The dream might be to ride a goat through Mongolia and live in a Yurt, but the reality may well be that there is zero chance to find any useable wifi in that instance (unless Starlink just happens to fly overhead). Same if you plan to take selfies with a Sherpa at the base camp of K2 in Pakistan. You may not be sleeping on a Tuareg rug under the stars, but even the bigger tourist centers may be handicapped by very poor local digital infrastructure. This will only cause you a real headache with your work as you battle slow downloads, broken uploads, and glitchy zoom calls. 17
Some countries don’t just have patchy service, but also regular power brownouts, while others may have regulations that block content altogether - or make it illegal to distribute. An immediate reality of the free independent digital nomad lifestyle is that getting online and working is absolutely critical to maintaining income. You’ll want to get internet access as soon as possible and be sure it is there whenever you need it. After all, the internet is your gateway to earning income from gigs, your fans, minting NFTs, or monetizing images, audio and video content. Whatever you do, you need solid, reliable internet to do it - so be sure to have several options that won’t limit your ability to get online. Co-working spaces, coffee shops, hotel or condo wifi, mobile wifi, pre-paid 4G/5G routers, fiber connections - you are your business, so plan to be connected and work-ready from day one

Cost of Living Before you book the Uber to the airport evaluate your real finances. Be honest, do you have ready and to hand more than enough for the costs of the visas, the flight, connections, local transport, and expenses to get to your destination? Have you budgeted for at least the first month and the initial costs to cover your accommodation and bills? You may struggle to get up and running with work as you acclimate to your new surroundings, and put down your first roots, so whatever your actual savings, add at least another 25% to it for unexpected costs and to survive until your well-oiled online money-maker is operating smoothly. In most instances you’ll find that living abroad can actually save you money in comparison to say, the costs of renting, bills, groceries, running a car, the gym membership, and various additional taxes in the UK or USA. Obviously, this very much depends on choosing a country with a lower cost of living, and budgeting according to your basic needs. When accounting for this budget it is worth adding in some emergency expenses too, such as pharmaceutical drugs and medical bills. A major part of your calculating your total financial needs is always going to be rental costs and bills. Think about multi-month deposits for renting an Airbnb, guest house, or a condo, plus look into visa renewal costs in advance if you decide on extending your stay. Whether you are a salty seasoned traveler and used to a life on a shoestring budget in a Kibbutz, or backed by the evergreen ‘Bank of Mom and Pop’, your digital nomad life can’t really begin until you’ve worked out the real local monthly outgoings, and so how far your savings, and more importantly your earnings, are likely to stretch. This could be as easy as calculating the required number of coffees required to facilitate an all-night work sprint at Starbucks. It could be as complex as anticipating an active social life, with dates, going to bars and clubs, shopping at malls, eating out at restaurants, renting a car or bike, and paying for local events and festivals. 19
Another factor to think about is local exchange rates and money transfers, ATM fees, how to set up a local bank account, and for cryptocurrencies, how to easily exchange between coins and fiat (real cash!). If you are using a money transfer service make sure it is a trusted agency, such as Western Union, with transparent fees and exchange rates.
Language and Conveniences The chance to meet new people from wildly different cultures has to be one of the major attractions for people wanting to adopt the digital nomad lifestyle. Countries outside of our own western cultures are very diverse politically, culturally, and linguistically - which can be a revelation, or a nightmare, depending on how flexible you are, and how easily you can adapt to change. The hardest aspect of adapting to a foreign culture must be the spoken, written, and non-verbal language barriers. Every continent, every country, has the potential for multiple different cultures and languages - just look at Belgium where there are three official languages: Flemish (Dutch), German and French.
There are no specific skills that you need to be a digital nomad. You just need to be good at what you do and be able to sell your services or content, or whatever it is, entirely online
20
Translations services, and smartphone apps, aren’t always the best option for trying to really get to understand the local society, customs, and culture. For that one of the best ways to “hack” quickly into a culture is by joining co-working spaces, foreigner-friendly communities, and the networks online for meeting up with like-minded ex-pats. Another thing to consider is the type of conveniences you’d be anticipating and expect to find when you step off the plane. Good infrastructure is important. You want to be able to get around a big city easily and without incurring too much expense. The quality and cost of public transport can have a huge impact on your overall quality of life. You’ll also want to check beforehand that the local markets, shops, and malls, will live up to the demands of your lifestyle. You don’t want to be struggling to buy essentials, or be unable to find fresh towels, bedding, or clothing especially as most nomads pack lite to travel, and look to build a new wardrobe later. Fortunately, most major destinations have amenities that cater to foreigners, and the tourist economy usually means you can find all the best and biggest brands somewhere local and convenient.
Work-life Balance
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” - In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller
21
No matter what walk of life you are in, and what career path you pursue, a healthy work/life balance is of vital importance for your physical and mental health. Thanks to the pandemic, many of us feel like we’ve been locked away at home, chained to our desks for decades. For millions of workers across the world finding any kind of regular break from work to pursue the things we most enjoy, and keep fit and active, has been an enormous ongoing challenge. For many of us, it still is hard work to find the time to get offline and relax IRL, as more-and-more businesses transition to remote working online with 24/7/365 agendas. This is especially true for digital nomads who are trying to work, connect, travel, learn a new language, monetize content, and cope with living thousands of miles from their support group of friends and family. @simon_morton_
Before you travel, be sure and ask yourself what do you want from your non-working life in a new country? After all, even a nomad can’t be a Franciscan monk; there are worldly things you’ll need to make you happy and contented too! What motivates you and what interests do you bring with you when you arrive to start your new life? Are you looking for peace, quiet, natural beauty, culture, festivals, history, and arts? Or are you far more interested in fiestas, festivals, parties, bars, nightlife, movies, shopping, and spas? Or are you active and sporty and hanker for hiking, scuba diving, cycling, jogging, yoga, drone flying, skydiving, or volleyball on the beach? When you are your own business, especially as a content creator, or social media influencer, it is tempting to spend all day, every day, simply working on your brand and keeping your fans happy. You’ll be compulsively checking emails, constantly refreshing your social media feeds, and writing a new blog with one hand while Twitch streaming with the other. But, being constantly fixated on nothing but your work, is a ticket to nowhere but complete psychological and physical burnout. You will find yourself tired all the time, restless and resentful, and unable to enjoy your business as you are living to work, not working to live. When you figure out the correct balance between the importance of work and your quality of life, you will find you are healthier, happier, and far more successful!

Security
“Areas of strong political instability with the risk of civil unrest; ‘cos nothing ruins a good fashion vlog like a public riot with rubber bullets and Molotov cocktails!” Better to be an old, bold (and smart) digital nomad, than just a bold one. Before you travel let your colleagues, friends, and family know your plans, timetable, and itinerary and update them on arrival. This way, if something unexpected happens, you have a trusted contact who cares where you should be and knows how to locate you. When you arrive in a new country, in unfamiliar circumstances, without a lot of local knowledge it is easy to get into trouble. On one side you have petty criminals, scammers, pickpockets, and conmen who are all too happy to take you under their wing and show you the best deals in town. On the other, some countries are theocracies or authoritarian with conservative laws that may not be obvious or signposted, but could still land you in serious trouble. Don’t try for those nude selfies on the beach in Dubai, sunburned buns will the least of your worries! Naivety is not a good defense. If in doubt, it is best to check the latest travel information for a given country and read up on the advice. Context matters. Trust your intuition. Use commonsense. If it seems like a bad idea now, it probably will be a very bad idea later. There are some places that should be avoided (no matter how low the cost of living, the cost of dying is too high a price to pay!):
25
High-crime high-corruption areas where the police shoot everyone first, then hand out warrants later. High-risk areas for exotic diseases. The pandemic taught us all how merable quarantines and lockdowns can be. Areas of strong political instability with the risk of civil unrest; ‘cos nothing ruins a good fashion vlog like a public riot with rubber bullets and Molotov cocktails! Places where entrenched poverty, environmental pollution, and pest infestations are challenging. Just turn around and go the other way. Localities that are being affected by extreme weather or active geological events. Unstable regimes, hot spots for conflict, and active war zones. Once you do arrive, book in, and drop your suitcases, then take note of the community services numbers, such as the police, fire, and medical hotlines. Another good number to have to hand is your National Embassy contact info, in case you lose or have your travel documents stolen.

ASIA
Chaing Mai, Thailand.
Chaing Mai in Thailand is consistently rated as one of the best places to live for remote working
Chiang Mai was once an ancient capital city of the Kingdom of Siam. The area is filled with beautiful Buddhist temples and is sure to appeal to those that want to explore their spirituality while soaking up Thai history and culture.
“The unofficial motto of Chiang Mai is “slow down, relax, and enjoy life” . . .” For the intrepid content creator, Chiang Mai is the perfect place for that all-important work-life balance that affords all the first-world facilities you’d expect, with a reasonable cost of living, while also boasting a large and friendly ex-pat community, both on Facebook and in local clubs and bars. The unofficial motto of Chiang Mai is “slow down, relax, and enjoy life” with local spas on every street corner offering the best in head-to-toe stressbusting massage. Happy endings are not necessarily included! The town isn’t as frenetic and restless as the Capitol Bangkok and is far more conservative than the ‘anything-goes’ sex tourism of Pattaya. Instead, Chaing Mai offers natural beauty, night markets, great food, good value, and a dynamic community of fellow nomads to satisfy the most severe wanderlust. 28

SOUTH AMERICA
Medellin, Colombia.
Medellin, the “City of Eternal Spring” -image courtesy of the Bogota Post
Our next port of call is the second-largest city in Colombia. Fast-growing in popularity as the South American hotspot for remote workers, and as one of the most innovative cities in South America. Known as the “City of Eternal Spring” for the temperant weather, the clean streets, and the sunny disposition of the local people. The city is located up in the verdant mountains of the beautiful Andes chain, so is ideal for flying drones and capturing stunning panorama footage for your videos.
The official Colombian motto of Medellin is the “City of Life” There is concrete proof that “City of Life” is more than just a slogan. The city that once was known for a high crime and homicide rate, has seen civic and urban regeneration on a massive scale with plaudits from international city planners and architects. Medellin boasts Colombia’s only urban rail system, just one part of its excellent transport infrastructure. A riverfront opening up to new businesses, trendy cafes, and great restaurants. Even a former house of detention transformed into a world-class university. Living is easy for the city dwellers with hundreds of new public spaces springing up, from curated park spaces to sprawling downtown plazas. 30
The great news is all of this modernity and clement weather doesn’t need to cost you more. In fact, the average cost of living in Medellin city - that is rent, bills, food, and transport versus average income - is rated as being amongst the 89% lowest in the world, compared to other similar cities. Time to pack the laptop and the overnight bag!
AFRICA
Port Louis, Mauritius.
Port Louis famous central market in the Caudan waterfront area -image courtesy of Tripadvisor
Wheels down in the vibrant African jewel of Port Louis in Mauritius! The Republic of Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, off the Southeast coast of the African Continent.
“Mauritius was made first, and then heaven; and heaven was copied after Mauritius.” - Author Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens)
You’ll find there is more to life than breathtaking natural beauty, golden sandy beaches, and white-capped waves the color of sapphire. In fact, once you pick your jaw off the floor, you’ll find yourself beguiled again by the sights and sounds of the melting pot of diverse cultures, the overpowering aroma of a thousand different dishes from every corner of Africa, and the welcoming smiles of the amazing people, drawn from a hundred different ethnicities, who call Port Louis home. 31
Mauritius is a perfect multicultural country where all cultures and religions are welcome, respected, and live together harmoniously, which translates into a tolerant and open African society, benefitting from a low crime rate. Mauritius is ranked by the World Bank as one of the most competitive, and most developed economies in Africa. The government is progressive and provides the people with free universal health care, free education, and free public transportation for students, senior citizens, and the disabled. It is also known as the most stable and peaceful African country. There is a lot to love! Those worldly travelers and digital nomads “in the know” are fully aware of why Port Louis is so special. It attracts more and more expatriates each year with the country's gentle charms, picturesque environment, economic growth, cultural diversity, cost of living, and tax advantages. At the same time, it is one of the safest destinations in Africa. No wonder so many who discover this hidden African treasure, refer to Mauritius as a literal “paradise on Earth”.

Our final layover is in Europe. Welcome to the Portuguese capital city, Lisbon!
“Lisbon is known as the White City or The City of Lights” Located in the western part of Portugal, built on the estuary of the Targus (Tejo) River, Lisbon is a thriving city of arts, culture, and history. Lisbon is fast becoming a favorite among digital nomads, who gather here, drawn by the lure of warm weather, the culture, ease of travel in the EU, and relatively good value compared to other European capitals. They come to enjoy the sunny waterfront cosmopolitan metropolis, but arguably the biggest draw for digital nomads are the built-in communities of like-minded freelancers in development, media, and digital marketing. The Lisbon Digital Nomads Facebook group has over 19,000 active members, offering advice and workshops to their peers. Many groups arrange weekly IRL meetups for co-working, networking, socializing, and starting new projects over a cold glass of the local Cerveja beer.

The Treat 2cents Here at TreatDAO, we have staff and a community that connects and works from all over the world. Many of us would identify as digital nomads as well. Here are some of our tips for achieving a satisfying balance between making money, and spending it. Firstly, what may seem obvious, but which can be deceptively difficult, is finding a business in an industry you are truly passionate about with like-minded people, where work is actually enjoyable, promotes professional growth, and helps you master your destiny abroad. Secondly, the worst boss you’ll ever have is you! So learn to work smarter and never get trapped into just grinding out longer and longer hours. After all, you did quit your 9-5 job for a reason! Make a personal business plan that includes time off, rest, and socializing, and give equal importance to both getting things done efficiently, and not doing any work at all. Thirdly, learn to take your time with travel, and even stop to put down a few roots. As a nomad, you can work anywhere, but that doesn’t mean you have to be constantly globetrotting. Travel is disruptive, it affects your ability to settle into a working groove, and can sever local networking and social connections - it is also exhausting!
Bon voyage, nomad!

We are very proud to present Stormy Daniels as our June 2022 Treat of the Month (TOTM)! Here she talks exclusively to us about herself and her life in the celebrity spotlight. She speaks candidly about her career as an adult performer, writer & director, producer, model, and a news media star.
“Hey Stormy, welcome to Treat.” “Hi, I am Stormy Daniels. I’m a Wicked Pictures contract star and director, which means I am an adult actress, writer , director, producer. I am also a featured dancer, magazine model, stand up comedian, author… kind of all around pain in the ass! Oh, a paranormal investigator and also a mom.” Originally I am from Louisiana. I grew up in Baton Rouge, and then moved to New Orleans, right after highschool. And since then, I basically live in a bunch of hotel rooms! I currently live in hotel rooms, tour buses, sometimes in LA, sometimes back home in New Orleans, -and the answer to that question will probably be different in a month. Ooh, I think that I’d describe myself as tenancious, um, kind of a bitch, creative, I fancy myself to be very funny, and I kinda give zero fucks and been known to just say whatevers on my mind, and to always be honest. I consider myself, above anything else, to be a writer and director, so I’m gonna say I’m motivated in my work to be creating good content, creating great movies, great stories. That’s really my passion. I like to take an idea and really see it come to life. I like good imagery, good storytelling, and stuff that people can identify with. I really enjoy people coming up to me and telling me they like my movies, whether because they were sexy and hot and they got off on it, or because they just really got sucked into the storyline.

My personal mantra is probably “if you want something done right, do it yourself”, “take no prisoners” and “the truth always comes out”. Well I’m pretty much always working, so I think I can only name one or two things; anybody who knows me will tell you my other passion outside work is horses. I’ve been riding since I was eleven years old and I am a 3 day eventer, which means I compete in dressage, cross country and showjumping. Other than that I enjoy writing. What first got me started in modeling was I took a job as a stripper in a local club in Louisiana, because I needed to eat - let’s be honest! And that club had featured entertainers, and I found out that the way to become a featured entertainer, which is what I really wanted to do, was to have credits. Whether that be doing adult movies, or adult magazines, or being known for competing in competitions. So I talked to some of those girls, and they gave me some numbers to well-known photographers, and one thing led to another and here I am! I think if I had to choose one thing that really impacted me in a positive way, it would be the movie that I wrote, directed, and starred in for Wicked Pictures called “Wanted”. I worked on that script for about 8 years and harassed the owner of the company the entire time to let me do it, because it was such a big budget. We shot it over 14 days and it won the best movie, and also won me best director. Hands down, my passion project. Um, let’s see, I am probably most proud of being the only adult film actress to be on Saturday Night Live. To have a New York Times bestselling book. I wrote a book called “Full Disclosure”. Also, selling out comedy clubs, and just sorta always being known for standing my ground no matter what. 39

What do people say most about me? Probably nothing good, if anybody has seen any news, um I’m not gonna speak for other people, but probably that I stand up to bullies! My personal goal for this year is to make some great movies. I just resigned my directing contract with Wicked Pictures, and I have several great script ideas. I think my big goal this year is to win best director from one of the award shows, and to also finally get my horror movie that I wrote 10 years ago into production. Haha, I don’t know if I would want anyone to follow in my footsteps! Ah, that’s a little scary, but I would say don’t be afraid to say “no”. Pace yourself. Have a good attorney. Read every contract all the way through, no matter what. Trust no one and trademark your name, and all your domain names before you utter that stage name to anyone. Because some asshole will absolutely try to steal it and sell it back to you. So, I think that the NFT thing is… at first I was a little apprehensive about it, but I will say now that I’ve learned about NFTs and the blockchain and all that, I think that it’s a really great way for creators to kinda take control back, and to maximize their income and it’s just another revenue stream. And with piracy and all of that out there, we definitely could use all the help we can get. Yeah, on the other side of that, the collectors have something that is unique to them, that no one else can have because it’s unique to the blockchain and they have the opportunity to buy it directly from the creators, so they know they are supporting who they are fans of directly, and that means a lot. I like how it maintains its value, and if it is ever sold and resold the creator still gets a percentage back. In closing, first and foremost thank you! Your support means the world to me. I’ve been doing this a very long time and it’s really cool over the years to see some of the same names and fans come back over and over. I’ve become actual personal friends with a lot of them, and your dedication and loyalty and support just means the world to us content creators, of course.

Groom Up!
Tips, products, and a word of honest advice to help our male content creators thrive in a space dominated by the ladies! During the lockdown of the last couple of years, and record levels of people quitting their jobs - and the office - more of us have had time to focus on life balance. During this time the subscription platform OnlyFans has become a buzzword for independence and an alternative source of income for women and men by indulging fantasies through the creation, and consumption of tailor-made adult content.
Though OnlyFans has grown in public awareness mainly thanks to the attention on sexy female content creators, and female influencer’s lifestyles, it isn’t exclusive to women, and many men are connecting with fans and finding financial rewards. 42
Griffon Barrows (pictured above) had been working in the porn industry for six years before he set up his creator account. He says that “OnlyFans really took off as my primary source of income fairly quickly,” he adds “There were several months, I think it was maybe about half a year, where I was doing both studio and fan sites. Rates were still falling with [the] studio. So it wasn't actually that hard or difficult for the fan-site work to outperform the other income stream.” Griffon’s approach to dealing with fans is to treat each and every one of them as an individual, and important to his growth on the platform. He takes the time to go through every single message he gets and listens and responds to the needs of his subscribers. This solid commitment to engagement and interaction with all his fans is the key to his success. Another key to his success is his commitment to looking clean-cut, fresh, and in shape, while maintaining a trendy personal style. We encourage men to join our Treat community and create SFW and NSFW NFT content, engage with our audience on our new live streaming and chat with fans and benefit from our tipping services. To ensure you look your absolute best we’ve put together this guide for male creators to thrive in the female-dominated creator space. Attention!

“MANNERS MAKETH THE MAN!” Sean Connery as 007 James Bond, a license to kill with style -Source Getty Images
“Manners maketh the man,” is an idiom (and truism) that has been around for a very long time, and was made famous most recently by Henry Hart (played with aplomb by the ever-suave Colin Firth) in the Kingsman movies. It is accredited to have been the personal motto of William of Wykeham (1320 – 1404) the Bishop of Winchester. We can understand it means that people will judge us by our character, our behavior, our appearance, and our sense of personal style and dress. Nowhere are we judged more than online, where the attention span is measured in subjective microseconds. When do we stop scrolling on Instagram and Facebook and hit “like”? When do we swipe right on Tinder? When we play “Marry, date, or dump” in our imagination what is the first thing that comes to mind and why? For the majority of us, it is when an image appeals to our innate sense of approval. The exciting news for us men is these reactions aren’t exceptions, but a totally predictable set of rules, that can be triggered by any of us guys willing to take the time and make the effort to look good! Though fashion sense changes with pop culture and new trends develop all the time, there are some criteria for what we consider “the well-groomed man” that has remained consistent. Hair and facial hair are cut neat and tidy on a regular basis, showing you care about the image you show the world. An eye for dressing in clothes that really suit your personal style, setting the appropriate look for the street, work, and social occasions. A toned and well-cut appearance sends out the positive signals that you care about your health, wellbeing, and overall fitness. The final element to strutting your stuff in any situation is your signature scent; the way you smell has a great influence on how people perceive you both consciously, and subconsciously. Soap, shampoo, aftershave, hair wax, hand wash, and even the fragrance of laundry liquid used for your clothes all affect your scent - and how people relate to you. Think of it as the secret psycho-social equivalent of aromatherapy, you’ll thank us later.
It isn’t vanity. There’s no shame in wanting to look good, and for others to rate your appearance too. The well-groomed man considers every detail in projecting an image of their most confident, charming, suave, and sophisticated self-image, and in almost every situation from job interviews to meeting the fiances' parents, it works wonders. People like to mirror others, and will respond in kind to the efforts you’ve made to show them your best self. To help you stand out in a highly competitive space, here are some of our top (obsessive) habits to adopt in order to really step out in style on social media and be applauded as the ultimate Gentleman to your fans and subscribers on Treat and OnlyFans.
You’ll find adopting our less-is-more approach will help you groom up and bloom.

ONE Your barber is family

reat the person cutting your locks like family. Get into the habit of making yourself at home in the barbers' chair. If you glance in the mirror and notice your hair needs a trim, then it is a safe bet that everyone else knows it too. Get used to assessing your hair growth proactively, rather than only reacting and taking action when you are forced to maintain your appearance. Some men will be happy to settle for the Grizzly Addams look and wait for their time of the month to make an appointment. Don’t be that unruly hirsute guy! Three weeks in and you feel you need that trim to sharpen up, don’t overthink (it’s not a sign you are becoming OCD), head for the barbers' shop. They’ll be pleased to see you again (and again, and again). Plus it is a great way to practice your small talk and refine your knowledge of trivia.

TWO Work up a lather to find the hair products right for you
The pomade look has never gone out of fashion -image courtesy of Gatsby.ph
We are all different. Some are blessed with a mop of thick curls. Others a pelt of fine hairs. There are pomades, gels, waxes, shampoos, and conditioners made for every type of follicle. Products that glue your hair to your skull for a stormproof look may suit some, lighter gels for more sculpted comb-over styles will suit others better. Anti-dandruff, anti-bacterial, and pro-scalp health products help clean and protect your hair from daily damage. It can feel overwhelming when you have balms and salves with added charcoal, added vitamins, added essential oils, and added amino acids. Moreover, there are products for those who are all scalp with no hair at all. Oils, dirt, and unpleasant bacteria do build upon the head and good skincare products and moisturizers can only help maintain and buff your glabrous look. The market is saturated with products all promising in their slick marketing to transform you overnight into the next Gigachad. Before you glow up, how do you choose the best kit for you? The answer is to be curious and keep trying and applying, get lathering up, and research by trial and error. You’ll soon find that most hair products do exactly as they say on the tin. If you keep at it, you’ll discover the right combination that makes an outstanding contribution to the health and luster of your coiffure. 47
Three Mow the lawn and trim the bushes
The joys, and perils of manscaping!
The clean-shaven look, while prosaic and safe, can be rocked if you have a strong jawline and the bone structure of a Greek demigod. Keeping those follicles pristine requires daily morning maintenance and preparation. Soaping your skin beforehand with warm water will help your pores expand, then applying shave oil will make your skin more supple and smooth. Soaking the blades in hot water beforehand will reduce bacteria and help them glide more easily, reducing the risk of shaving burn and redness. If all this feels like a chore, then remember the first golden rule, and go see your familial barber. Relax and enjoy an expert shave by a professional once a week. In recent years the much-maligned beard has had something of a modern renaissance. The beard has gone from a nostalgic novelty to the trademark of the 2000s computer nerd and college professor, to most recently a regular fixture of modern male culture. Designer stubble, once synonymous with ’90s film and television, is now an art form: sculpted, plucked, and trimmed to perfection all across social media. 48
The state-of-the-art with beards is all in the essential trimming. Ensure you trim your neck of unwanted fuzz and climbing chest hairs - same for the back of the neck, nothing worse than “pubes” climbing out of our collar! Now we’ve covered the face, let's move onwards, and downwards. Plunge into the jungles, but go in well-informed and prepared, as manscaping is not without some inherent risks. First, be sure to shower, soap, and wash and clean the areas you intend to shave. The armpits and groin area build up a lot of sweat and naturally occurring bacteria that could cause additional irritation or allergic reaction if not cleansed.
There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip!
Wherever you intend to start manscaping you should apply the same shaving rules to your body, as you would to your face. Prep your skin before you start with pre-shave oil and use a good foam to help protect your skin as you shave. Without proper lubrication, razors will cause post-shave burns, cuts, spots, and irritation. As our grizzled editor, no stranger to the perils of removing a model’s bodily hair, cautions “There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip! When you go down deep, always go slow and careful as the skin is very thin and especially sensitive. A lot of blood down there too, so get nicked and you’ll bleed like a stuck pig!” he adds with a shudder, “I have seen disaster zones, pepperoni rashes, and freshly plucked and bleeding chicken skins from people getting over-confident and careless with razors, scissors, and trimmers! If it hurts, burns, or itches… then quit and start over later.”
49
Accidents do happen, especially in the dark and difficult to see places, so get to know your manscaping first aid drill. Your cabinet should be stocked with a supply of alcohol, band-aids, petroleum gel, and cotton wool. If you do suffer a cut, stop shaving immediately, clean the wound with alcohol and staunch the bleeding before applying a band-aid. Don’t try to shave the area again for a couple of days to allow the cut to heal properly. If bleeding persists from a wound, then seek medical attention to avoid the risk of infection and as you may require a few well-placed stitches.
Four Black holes and excess baggage If you wake up and are shocked when you catch the reflection of that panda-like puffy face with two black holes gaping back at you in the mirror, then it is time to take action. Sleep management is crucial to maintaining your looks, confidence, and well-being. If you need to check your eyebags out of excess baggage it is time to get counting sheep and hit the sack for an early night. When you’ve burned the midnight oil and the damage is already done, there are anti-inflammatory eye creams and face masks that can help refresh your skin and restore your chiseled features. Flannels and towels alone won’t restore that glow to already long-deceased skin cells and clogged pores. Time for a facial scrub. Go strong and long! These ex-foliating stress-busting anti-aging scrubs should be a weekly habit to form to deep cleanse and repair all the daily wear-and-tear skin suffers. Use a moisturizing face cream after the scrub, plus a touch of sunblock to mitigate the skin-aging effects of ultra-violet radiation. Pro-tip: opt for scrubs with natural ingredients like oats, kernels, seeds, seaweed, and charcoal, and avoid plastic microbeads. You’ll be looking healthier while doing your part to keep this plastic pollution out of the food chain.

Five Define your scent Aftershaves, colognes, and fragrances are made to complement your natural aroma, and not overwhelm and knock out those around you! Choose them wisely. Rather than having a cabinet full of the latest labels, be sparing and minimalist, and focus on one or two classic brands that really smell good to you. Invest in yourself and never go cheap. Typically the designer brands spend hundreds of hours on refining and researching the best notes and blends. It is worth the extra dollars to tap that experience and expertise. You can tell the difference; from the musky, earthy, spiced, scents that fit those long winter nights, to the citrus-lemon, mandarin, and sharper palettes that work best in summer. Defining your scent is critical as people judge status from head-to-toes and everything between. Think about the details too, like how that recently laundered shirt smells? How does the smell of your deodorant blend with your cologne: balanced or overpowering? Even your breath can be opinion-forming and no matter how dapper you look, nothing turns people off more than smelling yesterday’s menu, coffee, and cigarettes on your breath.

Six The world loves a *fresh* smile
Be confident head-to-toe by maintaining dental hygiene and fresh breath
Your mouth should be the pearly white gateway to showing your character to the world. On a Zoom call or in an office meeting, flashing a grin will keep the mood buoyant and friendly. So maintaining good dental hygiene and oral freshness is an absolute must. If you want to make the best impression with total confidence, then keep that toothbrush busy in the mornings, and before hitting the sack at night. Floss after every lunch and dinner, and keep the mouthwash or pocket mist breath spray handy. Think of brushing as a workout for the mouth, and exercise those teeth and gums to keep them clean and healthy; it will also help you avoid having to see the dentist. Talking of the dentists (most of whom are really nice people, just with the most underserved reputations) according to a study by Sheffield University, you can cut down on the need to visit, by switching up to the electronic brushes. Those rotating heads can reduce plaque and gum bacteria in and between the teeth by up to 11% more than your trusty old toothbrush.

Seven Discipline is King
Confidence is contagious -image courtesy of AskMen
“Confidence is contagious so share it” Self-improvement is never a race, but a marathon, and it isn’t easy to look good and stay in shape, so be good to yourself. Remove the temptation to rest on your laurels, or have cheat days and pig out, and instead acknowledge your own weaknesses and act to overcome them. Be accountable for eating healthily and getting plenty of sleep and rest. Hit the gym and make it a habit to check your weight. Eliminate what you know is bad for your health and appearance, such as drinking to excess, smoking cigarettes, and too many fatty and sugary foods. Adapt your lifestyle to help you retain what you’ve worked hard to have gained.
56
Keeping in shape and maintaining your grooming regime will help develop good habits and self-discipline for life. It boosts energy, fosters self-respect, and reflects well on your character with your friends and peers, who will talk about your commitment to your smartness and style. Confidence is contagious so share it. Don’t be afraid to be the number one evangelist for your own personal brand. Connect with your followers, fans, and friends and show them how hard you’ve worked to achieve your own goals, to form all these daily good habits, and how it has improved your mental health also. Blog it, podcast it, and document it with videos! You may change some hearts and minds along the way and find you’ve influenced others to make a positive change in their lives. The final word on male grooming is if it makes you look better, it can only make you feel better. The better you feel, the more others will respond positively to your confidence and energy. So go and indulge yourself with this guide, and when you are ready, come strut your stuff on OnlyFans and TreatDAO and tell us all about it.
