Supplier Workshop - Please Read The supplier workshop works on the ‘speed-dating’ principle where agent participants move from exhibitor table to table at 10-minute intervals. When eight minutes have elapsed, an announcement will be made over the public-address system to that effect, enabling exhibitors to wrap up presentations and agents to ensure that they get their passports time-stamped. Each agent participant will be provided with a ‘passport’ when registering. The passport will contain an alphabetical listing of all exhibitors in attendance on the day. Each exhibitor entry will contain that company’s logo, together with a short description of what they do; the market(s) they serve and details of what is unique about their product or service offering. This is to help guide agents who may not already be familiar with that exhibitor/supplier. Agents may visit exhibitor stands on a purely randomized basis. You do not need to visit stands in a numerical or alphabetical sequence.

On the assumption that the workshop starts promptly at 09.30 hrs. and finishes at 16.00 hrs., that leaves 290 minutes of speed-dating time — allowing for two 15-minute presentations from the main stage at 12.45 (Royal Caribbean) and 14.30 (Celebrity Cruises); two 15-minute refreshment breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon — see conference programme) and a one-hour sit-down lunch. At 16.00 approximately, the workshop will finish and our new Kahoot quiz game will commence for which there will be a large cash prize up for grabs for the winning team/ individual. See separate communications/presentations regarding how to play Kahoot! Because 290 minutes of speed-dating time only equates to a maximum of 29 x 10-minute sessions, this means that any one individual can only meet with a maximum of 29 exhibitors/suppliers throughout the day, excluding refreshment breaks. It is therefore in each agency’s interests to send as many agency staff as possible so that they can divide up the exhibitors between them and ensure that all are met with, within the allocated time. The Kahoot quiz will be based on content delivered by each of the participating exhibitors so attendance at those respective stands will increase the likelihood of success during the subsequent quiz section. To play the Kahoot Game, agent participants need to either download the app from iTunes or the Google App store or go directly to www.kahoot.it and enter the password that will be provided on the

day. Individuals or teams can choose to use nicknames instead of their real names to anonymize their performance throughout the course of the game and thus increase the tension amongst agent competitors. Each player will select answers by tapping the relevant option on their smartphones. Each question will be multiple choice and points will be awarded based on the speed with which the correct answer is chosen. This points allocation will slightly favour individual players because of the quicker response times but teams will have an advantage because of greater collaboration in choosing correct answers because of the pooling of knowledge. Both team and individual scores will be displayed on the main screen where accumulating points will be shown for the purpose of increasing the anticipation amongst game players. The person/team with the most points at the end of the quiz will be deemed the winner(s) and will win the cash prize. *IMPORTANT: Whether agents choose to play the game individually, or collectively as a team, please note that the main prize of ¤2,500 will be awarded to the winning agency — whether or not the winning player is a team or an individual. Participating agencies therefore need to agree in advance how the prize money should be spent, in order to avoid any problems afterwards.
