DID YOU KNOW ...
Did Galileo Galilei conduct experiments from the Tower of Pisa to prove his theories about gravity? Legend has it that in the 16th century, he dropped various objects from the tower to demonstrate that they all fell at the same speed, a revolutionary idea that contradicted Aristotle's then-prevailing ideas
Whether this story is historically accurate is still debated by scientists What is certain is that Galileo was a professor in Pisa and regularly used the tower for his research on motion and falling objects. His observations laid the foundation for our modern understanding of physics.
The tower is also a symbol of scientific progress. Every visitor who climbs its 294 steps today literally follows in the footsteps of one of the greatest thinkers in history.

A spectacular horse race takes place twice a year in Siena's famous Piazza del Campo The Palio is an explosion of medieval traditions, rivalry, and Sienese pride Ten of the city's seventeen districts compete in a race that lasts barely ninety seconds, but takes months to prepare for
The atmosphere is electric: jockeys ride bareback, spectators crowd the central square, and afterward, the winners burst into wild celebration Each district has its own colors, symbols, and centuries-old traditions.
It is also the only horse race where a horse can win without a rider.

DID YOU KNOW ...
In Florence, you can get wine from a window, a tradition dating back to the 17th century The buchette del vino are small hatches in the walls of old palazzos where winemakers used to sell their wine without direct contact During the plague, these windows became a safe way to trade: money was placed in a container with vinegar for disinfection, after which the wine was passed through the hatch.
Florence still has about 150 of these historic wine windows, but only a handful are still in use What was once a clever solution during dark times is now a charming tradition that surprises you with a glass of wine to-go, Florentine style

The best way to travel to Italy for your Tuscany trip is by flying to Pisa International Airport (PSA) From Belgium, you can easily find flights with Ryanair departing from Brussels South Airport (Charleroi) From the Netherlands, you can easily reach Pisa by taking a Transavia flight from Amsterdam You can find more information about flights on our website
Pisa Airport is located quite close to the hotel where your Vespa trip begins. Therefore, we do not provide shuttles. From the airport, there are three different ways to reach the hotel:

Or you can take the PISAMOVER, an electric metro that takes you to Pisa train station in 5 minutes, from where the hotel is just a 2-minute walk away. A ticket costs €6.50 per person and can be purchased at a ticket machine on site This mini-metro departs every 5 to 15 minutes
You can also take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, which costs a maximum of €20 and takes about 10 minutes

SOME RECOMMENDATIONS
RISTORANTE BAGOGA
SIENA
This beloved spot near Siena Cathedral is a must-visit if you're looking for authentic regional cuisine Family-run since 1973, the warm atmosphere is palpable right down to your plate!
In our opinion, this is one of the best pizzas in Tuscany. The menu is so extensive that you'll be a little overwhelmed by the choice, but whichever pizza you choose, you won't be disappointed!
FLORENCE
It's a bit further from the center, but it's definitely worth it because it has a beautiful secret garden! The food here is a bit more expensive and refined than in your average osteria, but definitely recommended!
