We have come to the point in the pandemic where the vaccine has been released. In most of the countries, taking the vaccine shots is an option, but in the case of the Australian construc‐tion workers, this is not an op‐tion. The construction industry decided that it is a good idea to make the vaccine compulsory, so many construction workers were very revolted, escalating to a violent protest. On Monday, some people gath‐ered at the protest in Victoria. This started as a normal protest, but in hours, it went downhill, became violent, while workers started damaging properties and attacking the police force. As the defined law enforcement officers tried defending themselves and controlling the protestatars, they were reported as using rubber bullets and pepper spray on the protestatars. On Tuesday, between 1,000 and 2,000 protesters gathered out‐side the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) building in Mel‐bourne before marching to the steps of the Parliament House, wearing hi-vis gear, chanting and setting off flares. Worse actions as Monday happened: assault‐ing officers, smashing police car windows and throwing bottles and stones. They marched across Melbourne, paralysing the city and shutting down a ma‐jor arterial bridge, yelling“f**k the jab” and “every day”, a reference to a promise to keep protesting daily until Melbourne’s Covid re‐strictions are lifted. "This was a very, very large and very, very angry group," Shane Patton, po‐lice commissioner in the south‐eastern state of Victoria, told re‐porters, In total, 62 people were arrested and 3 police officers were injured along with one jour‐nalist. In the end, it was announced that the CFMEU industries will close for a short period of time, if the cases will go up with this protest. When this came out, more peo‐ple came to the protest. “So, Australia is a disaster.” You may ask: why would they close these industries? Well, even though the country stays good with the mortality cases of Covid, they still don't want to risk all this, knowing that the new Delta vari‐ant spreads faster and easier. This all started with construction workers opposing mandatory vaccinations, but it grew into a voluminous' freedom’ rally, which shut down freeways and bridges. This chaos only happened for 2 days…. but can you imagine what will happen if these people continue?
