Dear Pioneer, Congratulations on your admission to Transylvania University. I am thrilled to welcome you into our Pioneer family. This is a close-knit, supportive community that will help you discover your passions and prepare you for a successful life and career in whatever feld you choose.

During these highly unusual times, I encourage you to step back and refect on the resilience you’ve shown to reach this point. Your hard work and creativity have paid of handsomely. This makes you a perfect ft for Transylvania, where our dedicated professors will challenge you to use those traits to make connections and explore the deep questions of the world.

Along the way we will support you and celebrate your victories. Your admission to Transy is the frst of those celebrations we can enjoy together over your next four years.

We know you probably have a million questions about what to do now that you’re admitted to Transy. We’ve tried to answer many of those here: When do I need to make my fnal college decision?

You can make your college decision and ultimately send in your enrollment deposit at anytime, but the earlier the better. The sooner you deposit, the better chance you’ll have at early class registration and early selection of residence halls. Don’t wait too long, as choices do become limited.

How do I submit the deposit?

Go to transy.edu/deposit and submit your enrollment deposit and save your spot in the Class of 2026.

When will I know my out-of-pocket cost to attend Transylvania University?

Our fnancial aid ofce will begin sending fnancial aid packages during the second semester of your senior year. From that document, you will see the fnancial aid you’ve qualifed for, additional fnancial resources and your out-of-pocket costs.

Are there other forms I need to fll out?

There are a handful of documents you will complete over the summer to help us prepare for your arrival in August. Once you submit your deposit, we’ll direct you to more information on our website.

How/when can I visit the campus?

We will continue to ofer both in-person and virtual options for campus visits. You can always check transy.edu/visit for diferent opportunities.

How are you handling COVID-19 on campus?

Transy has developed a thorough plan to keep our community as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can visit transy.edu/healthy-at-transy to learn about the protocols we have in place for housing, dining, cleaning and more.

Do I need to fle the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)?

You’re not required to fle the FAFSA, but we highly recommend it! The FAFSA is how you’re considered for need-based fnancial aid from Transylvania or from any government sources such as federal and state grants, work-study and/or student loans. Go to transy.edu/fafsa to learn more.
