OUR PERFORMANCE PERIOD 13 WEEK 1
A SURPRISE FOR OUR BIGGEST HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS FAN
Angie Hunte (Regional Customer Experience Manager) had a big surprise when she was recently presented with a new decoration for Huddersfield station’s ticket hall.
Angie is a huge Huddersfield Giants fan and, although a signed Huddersfield Town A.F.C shirt had pride of place in the station, there was no Huddersfield Giants shirt - despite Huddersfield being the home of Rugby League.
Angie’s colleagues were keen to sort this out, and so last week set up a surprise visit from Huddersfield Giants club ambassador and explayer Eorl Crabtree, along with operations manager Tim Burton, who presented Angie with a signed shirt.
The shirt currently has pride of place on the wall in Angie’s office and will soon be sitting next to the Huddersfield Town top in the ticket hall.
Congratulations to the colleagues who celebrated long service milestones in January.

Colleagues from TPE recently helped teach students from Fulford School in York to learn what it’s really like to work on the railway.
As part of Network Rail’s ‘Student’s Week in Rail’, Kelly Williams, On Board Service Manager and Michael Holmes, Conductor Instructor, gave the group a tour of York station and hosted a Q&A session on all things trains and signals. The students also took part in some fun engineering activities and got to explore the National Railway Museum’s WonderLab, where they learned about the power of thermal energy and how it can be used as a more sustainable energy source to fuel trains.
We hope the students had a great time and thank you to our colleagues for showcasing the wonderful world of rail.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE TEAM DONATE TO LOCAL FOODBANK

GOING THE EXTRA MILE!
Last month saw the launch of our new West Coast Kitchen, which saw us take some of our previous food choices off the menu.
So the food did not go to waste, our customer experience team arranged for it to be donated to Atherton and Leigh foodbank.
We’re always receiving amazing comments about our colleagues from customers. Here are just a few that were sent in last week:
