SCOTT’S MOVEMBER MISSION Back in November, Scott Jarvis (Conductor Instructor) took part in Movember to raise money for family of Dom Johns, a Driver Manager who sadly passed away in March 2023. Since starting his fundraising mission, Scott has raised more than £1,200, with the money used to support Dom’s two sons at Christmas. Scott said: “I took part in Movember in honour of Dom who passed away earlier this year, leaving behind two young sons. “ I wanted to raise money to support and surprise his children so that they can have some fun, especially since its their first Christmas without him.” “ Dom was a great guy. As soon as you met him, he would make you feel like a friend. He lived life to the fullest and gave everything 100 per cent, whether it was work or pleasure.” Scott’s JustGiving page will be open until 24 February and you can donate at

TPE £1 TICKET SALE IS COMING WITH ONE MILLION TICKETS AVAILABLE We’re pleased to share that the TransPennine Express £1 ticket sale is launching soon, with a whopping one million tickets available. The sale will allow customers to buy Advance Purchase (AP) tickets for journeys across the network for £1 for adults and 50p for children. We’re expecting demand to be high and an increase in traffic to our website, so to prepare for the sale, we have made upgrades to our systems and robust testing has been taking place to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. When we launched our plan to make journeys better in October last year, we made clear that one of our priorities was to re-engage with our customers and welcome them back onboard. The £1 sale is the first of a number of incentives we have planned in the coming months to make travel more affordable, and encourage customers to travel with us once again. Look out for more information coming soon!

It was a good week, with all targets met. What held us back? Colleague availability has been impacting all services. Fleet contributed the highest cancellations and delay minutes. Primarily due to Class 397 faults on the Anglo-Scottish Route, with there also being a few Class 185 faults impacting both the North and South Routes.
