LOOK BACK AT OUR TPE WEEK OF INCLUSION Last week we launched our first ever TPE Week of inclusion. The week celebrated the diversity and individuality of our colleagues and customers through a series of events and unique stories.

We would like to thank everyone who got involved in the week and made it such a positive occasion. Here’s a quick round-up of how we celebrated the week…
Friday: On Friday colleagues also joined our ‘Lunch and Learn’ session hosted by our Occupational Health Manager Debbie Easby. Speakers talked about their own life experiences around mental health and how to access support. If you would like to catch up on the session you can here
Monday: The week kickstarted with the launch of our newly named Unity train, which has been wrapped in the most upto-date Pride Progress Flag. We also announced an exciting new charitable partnership with The Proud Trust. Tuesday: On Tuesday we shared five short videos that captured colleagues’ experiences around key themes of inclusion: Watch the videos explaining what inclusion means to our people by clicking here. Wednesday: On Wednesday, colleagues joined our ‘Pastries and Panel’ event with our Women at TPE network. Finally, we also launched our Neurodiversity Networking Group. The group aims to raise awareness about adjustments that can be made for colleagues, as well as help guide TPE towards becoming a more inclusive employer. The week showcased TPE’s spirit of diversity, inclusion and understanding, and thanks go to everyone who got involved and supported the events.

LEARNING TO DRAW THE LINE - WELLBEING WEDNESDAY FOR FEBRUARY Setting boundaries is an essential tool for healthy living, and Wellbeing Wednesday is back for February with a focus on setting boundaries, helping you feel more in control. The Wellbeing Wednesday livestream will delve into the art of saying no, sharing tips on setting boundaries – both in the workplace and when talking to friends and family. Leading the session is Jennie Miller, a psychotherapist who co-authored a book on saying no without guilt. The Wellbeing Wednesday livestream is on Wednesday 7 February, 11am – 2pm. Do you only have a few minutes to spare? 5-minute wellbeing is also back, and this month’s video will explore the basic principles of setting and applying wellbeing to everyday life. You can also get some practical advice on fear vs resentment, holding you nerve, and when to push your personal pause button. 5-minute wellbeing is available to watch from Monday 5 February. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY FOOTBALL MATCH Friday 8 March is International Women’s Day and this year’s theme is #InspireInclusion, giving us a chance to understand and value women’s inclusion. It also highlights how technology and digital education can be used to inspire and connect women and girls, and what better way to connect people than a game of football.

Women in Community Rail is hosting an England v Wales Women’s walking football match. If you can’t make it to the match, Women in Community Rail will be sharing a replay of the match on all of their social media sites on Internal Women’s Day. If you would like to join either the English or Welsh team, or cheer them on as a supporter, email Jayne McLoughlin at jayne.mcloughlin@ liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk or Claire Williams at claire.williams@ ceredigion.gov.uk The game will be played at Bootle Football Club on Thursday 15 February, arrival at 12:30pm.
