Cable Cover

The First Line of Defence

100% Recycled, 100%

Recyclable, Made in NZ

With increased infill housing and denser land use, protecting the public from underground power cables is more vital than ever. TransNet CCASNZ cable cover is the most reliable solution on the market, it is locally manufactured at the Pact Recycling Factory using clean, repurposed, and recycled high HDPE content post-manufacture and waste plastic, right here in New Zealand.

Don’t settle for imitations.

TransNet CCASNZ cable cover is the only cable cover to consistently pass the AS/NZS 4702 penetration test.

Proven performance, every time!

✓ Free from residues or contaminants in the finished product

✓ Strong at minimal thickness to meet AS/NZS 4702 penetration standards

✓ Thinner and lighter—helps reduce strain and fatigue for workers

✓ Custom widths and lengths available (conditions apply)

✓ Every batch tested in-house, with samples retained also tested at an independent laboratory for consistent performance you can rely on

The Circular Economy

In October 2016, we moved into our purpose-built headquarters and began a bold sustainability journey, achieving ISO 14001 certification in 2017.

One part of our Environmental Management System (EMS) programmes is redirecting waste from landfill to recycling, and what better way to do it than turning that waste into new products like cable cover that we can sell back into

the industry. When designing new products, we’re always looking for ways to maximise the amount of recycled material used while at the same time designing the product using the least amount of overall materials – all without compromising the strength and integrity of the product. That’s a win-win for the environment in our opinion.

Working Near Live Lines? Stay Safe with Tiger Tails

Trusted protection for close proximity LV work

When you’re working in close proximity to overhead power lines, safety is non-negotiable. Tiger Tails provide a highly visible, insulated barrier designed to reduce risk and enhance awareness on site.

With their distinctive striped design, Tiger Tails act as a critical visual and physical safeguard, helping crews maintain safe working distances around live conductors. Built for durability and performance, they’re the industry-standard solution for temporary line insulation.

As the Authorised New Zealand distributor, TransNet ensures you get reliable, compliant products you can

Sealed vs. Standard Compression Lugs

What’s The Difference And When To Use Each Type

Electrical terminations are a critical point of failure in power distribution systems. Lugs provide the interface between conductors and equipment terminals. The integrity of this interface impacts the reliability of the connection.

Standard (non-sealed) lugs are widely used for cost and convenience; however, sealed lugs offer significant advantages in environments where moisture, contamination, vibration, and long-term reliability are concerns.

Both have their place, and should be chosen based on the application.

Standard Lugs Suit:

✓ Indoor & climate controlled environments

✓ Low risk, non-critical circuits

✓ Temporary installations

Sealed Lugs Suit:

✓ Critical circuits

✓ Humid or harsh environments

✓ Confined or high risk spaces

Metrel MI3136

The

New Hero

The advanced multifunctional installation tester

Speed is essential in electrical safety testing, cutting labour costs and minimising downtime while boosting overall efficiency.

That’s why Metrel developed the fastest multifunctional electrical installation safety tester that is engineered to streamline every measurement, accelerate workflows, and deliver reliable results in record time for maximum productivity.

Passive fire & acoustic solutions for every penetration

Engineered products for compliance, safety, and acoustic performance across your projects.

TNFIREPAD

In the case of heat or fire, the TNFIREPAD develops a highvolume expansion (20:1) and a high expansion pressure which causes the complete closure of an opening within a short time in order to prevent the transition of smoke and fire.

Tested to:

✓ AS 1530.4-2014 / AS 4072.1

FTPPADLGE

Putty pads are non-setting intumescent putty sheets designed to be a costeffective and efficient method of firestopping electrical sockets in firerated walls.

Tested to:

✓ AS 1530.4/AS 4072.1

ISO 10140-2 (STC 60)

TNMFBACOUSTIC

A Phonic Acoustic Flush

Box maximises the acoustic performance of mounting switches and power outlets. The addition of an outer flange, designed to seal to the wall lining enables TNMFBACOUSTIC to limit air gaps that cause sound leakage while damping vibration in the flush box. The TNMFBACOUSTIC has an intumescent pad pre-installed, this pad expands when exposed to fire.

Tested to:

✓ Acoustic: ISO 101402:2010.

✓ Fire: AS1530.4:2014 and AS4072.1:2005
