Pray for the regional evangelism conference in October, in Sarajevo. We expect over two hundred participants. Following this, we plan to travel to Zagreb, Croatia for evangelistic events and training.

3 We praise God for the evangelistic events we participated in recently. Hundreds of people heard the gospel, and several made the decision to follow Jesus and join a local church.
4 Thank you for praying for May’s seminar Love Your Neighbour, to engage Muslims with the gospel. We had over ninety participants from across the region. Pray that the participants will be able to apply what they learned.
This week, a team from the USA will help us run an evangelistic camp. Pray for open hearts and a clear presentation of the gospel. Pray that many make a personal decision for Christ.

Next week, we will have our canoeing camp for the Royal Rangers. Pray for safety on River Tamiš and for the spiritual growth of the people who attend. May this time together build character, community, and faith.

Later this month, a team from Northern Ireland will visit to help us run a camp. Pray for God’s blessing among the children we serve. May the children experience God’s love through the camp and activities.

Praise God for our ‘Hope Days’ in Kacanik last month. We held street evangelism events. Praise God that the municipality granted permission for these outreaches.

We’ve experienced some difficulties with parents in Herceg Novi. At the last children’s club, only one child turned up. Pray with us that the door remains open for us to continue having lessons there.

We're expecting a lot of children and teenagers to take part in our day camps at church this month. Pray for each young person to hear the gospel and receive Jesus Christ into their lives.
22 Pray for the camps we are having this quarter. We expect around 250 young people to participate. Many of them are from non-Christian families. Pray also for the extra training needed for our new helpers.

Pray for several events from now until the end of September, including conferences, services, training seminars and children’s concerts. These events have great gospel-sharing potential and also unite different ministry groups.
24 Our family is feeling very stretched. Our church responsibilities include preaching, pastoring, leading worship, counselling and administration at the Renewal Centre. Pray that all our efforts would bear fruit.
25 Please pray for our church’s social and humanitarian ministries. We work with homeless people, refugees and vulnerable children.

Pray for our Zhar Art business, which provides income for the creative people involved. Pray for good weather at the fairs we'll exhibit at, genuine customer interest, and enough time to prepare the glass artwork.

Pray for our sewing class. Nineteen dedicated women learn everything about sewing. Pray the students finish well this month, and may they use their skills in new job opportunities.

Pray for our teenage girls group. May each girl be encouraged in their walk with Jesus and may they grow in faith.

Pray for the teenage boys group, that each occasion spent together is fruitful. May each boy feel that they are listened to and draw closer to God.
30 Each family that we are close to, and support by providing essentials, needs to be carried in prayer so they discover the real God.

Please pray for each child with disabilities that we work closely with at our Kingdom Kids programme. May they know they are loved as they are. Ask God to help each child make progress as we work them.

1 We are expecting baby Noah to arrive in August. Ask God to be with Monica and Noah so there are no complications during labour, and our newborn son is delivered safely and is healthy.
2 In September, we will start meetings for teenagers. Pray that God would guide us as we encourage these young people to know Christ.

Pray for our summer programme for the teenagers. Ask God to fill each day with joy and safety. Pray for friendships to grow stronger, and for new teenagers to quickly feel welcomed and valued.

Ask God to provide our volunteer team with unity, strength, and wisdom as they serve. Pray especially for the development of young leaders, that they would grow in confidence, responsibility, and a heart that cares for others.

Pray for our team as we prepare for the summer and the new academic year. Ask God for clarity, creativity, and good coordination in all our work, including our planning and launch meetings.

We will have training for the Royal Rangers this summer. Pray for the training to be effective and to prepare leaders for the camps, boating, and hiking trips. Ask God to help each leader grow in practical skills and spiritual maturity.

Pray for all the students at our Rainbow Rehabilitation Centre. Summer is often a challenging season so pray for stability for the men. Pray that the men continue to grow, remain in the faith, and take steps forward.

17 We have just concluded our young adults’ ministry until the next academic season. Pray that God will bless our work with much fruit. We also need wisdom for the year ahead.

19 Please pray for our family, especially Albano, whose mother passed away recently, following an illness. Ask God to show His love and compassion as we grieve the loss of Albano's mother.

28 Our churches need encouragement and building up. Please ask God to provide full-time workers to serve Him alongside me. Ask God to give us wisdom and guidance and pray for revival.

29 We are planning our autumn season for our handbells choir and some of our players are leaving for university. Pray with us for guidance about the next season and what we should take on as a music team.
30 Praise God for Deni, Ivan, Alehandra and Kalina, who have joined our vocalist team. However, they are young and less experienced. Pray that they integrate well and learn all the necessary skills to worship freely without being anxious.

Pray for us as our sons undertake the next school year. Finding a suitable kindergarten for my youngest, Dimi, has been very difficult. Theo’s current kindergarten is quite far, so we need to decide if we want to move him somewhere else as he has made some friends.

Many people cannot cope financially since our currency changed to the Euro. We pray that God's peace and provision will be upon our people, especially believers; that we may be a light and a testimony to trust in God, not in the systems of the world.
3 Unemployment is rising in Svištov and many jobs are being made redundant. Pray for God's intervention; new jobs, blessings upon the people and development of the city. Please ask God to sustain our family too.

Praising Christ Together for Freedom and Change

Nineteen years ago, a group of evangelical Christians who had overcome severe drug addiction, through rehabilitation programmes and with God’s help, organised a conference for people with similar experiences.
Christian Fellowships Conference was conceived to demonstrate that complete recovery of drug addicts is possible. This was in response to the official position among some medical professionals that complete recovery is not possible, only abstinence.
Since then, we have witnessed the wonderful works of God. Every year, about two hundred people arrive from West Balkan countries and gather together in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Each person has a wonderful story. As Korak-Teen Challenge Croatia, we have been actively involved with the conference for the last ten years.
Who are the people who come to the conference? They were once long-term heroin addicts. Some had turned to crime to fund their addiction; some had been homeless or worked in the sex trade. Marriages had broken down, and some had lost custody of their children. The people attending the conference were once regarded as the lowest of society. From the time of the first conference, we have witnessed changes. Some people have got married, had children, have successful careers,
developed their own businesses, and serve in local churches.
Boro Goić from Sarajevo was a long-time heroin addict. Today, Boro is married with two children, he serves in a local church, has an NGO that helps people with addictions, and he is the owner and manager of two nursing homes. Nina and Đorđe Kostić were long-time heroin addicts, but they now lead the evangelical church they planted in Novi Sad, Serbia. This year, Šime and Nina shared their testimony of how they replaced a life of crime on the streets with serving addicted people at the Rehab Centre Remar. People once regarded as the lowest of society are now examples to others. Only Christ can bring such freedom and change.
