Welcome to our Impact Report. It will give you a fresh at-a-glance insight into the work of Transform Europe Network and the impact our partners, your support and TEN are having in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.
You will read about baptisms, evangelism, leadership training, marginalised people being shown Christ’s love and much more. We believe the best approach to impact the region is working relationally, alongside local leaders, for the long-term. Lasting impact on lives and communities takes time. In scripture, God regularly reminds His people to wait patiently. We hope that you will recognise the impact of that patient, consistent, committed approach in this report. As a trustee I am privileged to be part of the Great Commission in declaring the Good News through the sharing of God’s love to so many in Eastern Europe, who not only need spiritual support and encouragement but also practical help in their day-to-day living. Who’s Who at TEN?
We have a small core staff team at Transform Europe Network, but each person is dedicated to their God-given responsibility to further His gospel in Europe. Here’s an overview:

I work with the board to shape strategy and lead TEN. That means managing staff, supporting partner ministry development, thinking creatively, fundraising for partners, representing TEN publicly and working closely with Chris and Ken.
Chris Beddoes,
Senior Finance and Operations Manager
I ensure that TEN’s finances are managed effectively, enabling our partners to receive the funds you donate. I also oversee the operation of our office in Bristol, our IT and our policies and procedures.
Moira Ruff, Finance Administrator
I manage daily income and expenditure, keeping financial records up to date and recording all grants to partners. Operationally, I order supplies and carry out essential checks to keep the office running smoothly.

Mission Engagement Officer
I oversee church partnerships, supporters and TENteams. I help to strengthen relationships between UK churches and partners in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. I also support volunteers and run TENteam trips, providing shortterm mission opportunities.

I oversee all matters relating to our partners in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, including sending grants, obtaining regular newsletters, visiting partners and processing partner funding applications. I also work with Lucy on church partnerships.

I share the news at TEN, from our Connect Magazine and monthly emails to social media, our website, YouTube channel and this Impact Report. I help to keep you informed and connected.
Robbie Palmer (Mission Support Worker) and Clare Jefferis (Trusts Fundraiser) are valued members of our wider team. While studying at Bible college, Robbie produces partners newsletters. Clare, a freelance trust funding adviser, leads our work in securing trust funding.
Where We Work
Transform Europe Network works alongside indigenous Christian partners based primarily in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The countries where we have partner connections are:

The Balkans and Eastern Europe regions are fascinating and beautiful. Breathtaking landscapes, countries with rich cultures, intriguing identities and compelling histories. There are three main religious identities: Muslim, Catholic and Orthodox. These identities are synonymous with national identity, meaning they are often predetermined by heritage rather than conviction. Evangelical believers, such as our partners, are a significant minority, often viewed with suspicion and regarded as part of a sect.
Other significant challenges are economic and political unrest. Throughout 2025 there were large anti-corruption protests against the Serbian government. At the start of this year, Bulgaria changed its currency from the lev to the euro and because of the economic uncertainty, the costs of goods and unemployment have both increased. And the war in Ukraine continues, resulting in so much death and displacement of people.

But there is hope. Scrokret— which translates as ‘turning of the heart’—held the first large-scale international youth festival in Croatia last year and this year delivered the third international youth conference in Serbia at a partner church. These events were organised and delivered by young Christians who are less impacted by religious obligation. Several TEN partners are connected to indigenous prayer movements, such as Balkan Call, which intercede for reconciliation between Balkan nations. In Moldova, a TEN partner provides sanctuary, therapy and the hope of Christ to refugees from Ukraine. And the Church is growing within Roma communities. We rejoice and are humbled by the faithfulness of Balkan believers. Let us continue to pray and support transformation through Christ and His people in this precious region.

These figures are based on responses to our impact questionnaire. A small number of our partners did not respond, and so it is likely that there are more beneficiaries than stated.
We praise our Lord for sustaining Emanuel Hospice over thirty years. We are profoundly thankful for TEN staff from the past and present, who supported the beginning of this ministry and have remained a committed, faithful partner over the years. Marinela Rotariu, Romania
Winter Coats for Roma Children in Sarajevo

The TEN grant we received was used for purchasing thirty-three winter jackets and wool caps for primary-age school children. This project helped us to come closer to this group of Roma people.
I was encouraged with a little, tiny detail which maybe doesn’t sound so important, but we had to wait for some dozen kids to come to receive their jackets since they had a choir practice in their school on Saturday! Knowing traditional attitudes toward schooling among Roma in Bosnia, this was quite a surprise, and a very, very nice one for me. I hope that it speaks about some new trend… especially about giving fair opportunities to Roma girls to finish primary school and continue further.
Hygiene Packs Provide Dignity

Thank you sincerely for the generous grant that enabled us to provide hygiene packages to all the families we serve. Your support has filled a unique and often overlooked need in the lives of many families who are struggling deeply. Many of the families we work with live in very poor and difficult conditions. Often hygiene is simply not something they can afford to consider.
One Roma family we work with is doing everything they can to help their children attend school. Despite daily challenges, they are slowly integrating more and more into society. They have expressed deep appreciation for the care and support the church has provided, including hygiene packages—a major need for them.

TEN has a great impact on our relationship, where you stand shoulder to shoulder with us in God’s work. Without TEN, we could not reach miners, prisoners, Roma people, drug addicts, those who have been domestically abused, Muslims, children and the elderly. Robert Salamanov, North Macedonia
Bible Bike and Puppet Ministry

During the Christmas period
Dragan Manev and the Marantha puppet team visited various towns to share a message about the birth of Christ. Dragan told us, ‘Many children hear the Good News through the puppet team. Sometimes puppets can enter in the places where is it forbidden to share the gospel.’
Throughout the year Dragan and his wife, Biljana, use their Bible Bike ministry. Petre Petrov in Štip reports, ‘Pastor Dragan and Biljana came with their bike ministry to our city. They served coffee and handed out New Testaments and Christian books, also sharing the gospel with a multitude of people. Glory to God!’
Every Man and Every Woman for Christ

We organised two Christmas meals, one for men with the theme ‘Men of Integrity’ and a women’s gathering with the theme ‘The Greatest Joy’ (Luke 2:10).
During these evenings, both with women and with men, a warm and welcoming atmosphere was created where people felt free to speak, to listen, and to share their hearts. Conversations were sincere, meaningful, and filled with mutual respect, showing that regardless of background, profession, or personal journey, we all share a deep need for hope, meaning, and truth. The gospel was shared in a direct and understandable way, closely connected to real life and everyday challenges.

Church Planting and Discipleship
Christ Gospel Church Novi Sad was planted two years ago. Our church room is full with people, so we started saving money to buy a piece of land with the intention to build a church building. Jovica Bačvanski, Serbia

On 3rd December 2025, our church celebrated our second anniversary. It was just like yesterday when we started our new Christ Gospel Church in Novi Sad. The Lord has been so good to us. The church is growing in quality and in numbers. The Lord is building His church on these three foundation stones:
1. Teaching of the word of God with the power of the Holy Spirit (Sunday services and seminars, children’s ministries).
2. Constant prayer, Bible studies and ladies’ meetings.
3. Beautiful fellowship around a table, where we eat together and have fun, providing for the needy.
Christian Books for Discipleship in Bulgaria

Two of our partners in Bulgaria wrote Christian books last year which TEN helped publish. Both books are now being used to disciple Christians in the country.
After an unusually difficult year, Anatoli Yankov told us in October 2025, ‘God stirred my heart to write a book about His favour. I never thought I would ever write a book—I didn’t believe I could. But by God’s grace, it has become a reality!’
Plamen Borisov published his second book called Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven for the Church, which teaches about Christ’s five-fold ministry gifts to His church.

Strategy Update
Over the last couple of years, we have continued to focus on several broad strategic themes including financial resilience and new leaders. Here are some examples to illustrate this work.
Supporting and Training New Leaders
We continue to press in to supporting new leaders in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. This includes young leaders, Roma leaders and women leaders. In Romania, your support has enabled us to back the training of over fifty students at the Mathetis Bible School. We are currently working with partners with the aim of engaging several new ministry leaders.
Partner Organisational Development
In February 2024 James Vaughton, our CEO, visited CASA Grace. James ran a two-day strategic development programme. Two key themes to emerge were communication and fundraising. Since that time CASA has developed these foundations and is growing in resilience. James and Monika Mahr, the Executive Director at CASA, have met for regular coaching sessions. In March 2026 James visited CASA Grace again to help the team recognise progress and plan the next steps.

Loans for Business to Support Mission
Following success using loans to strengthen partners financial resilience, TEN supported further projects. We sent a loan to help Pastor Artur Tushi in Berat, Albania, renovate a property into a nine-room bed and breakfast. These projects, and others like them, are slowly seeking to turn the tide of dependence on funds from outside the country and resource God’s work in-country. Funds generated through the businesses will help pay pastor salaries and resource ministries, as well as build new connections with the community and create employment.
Developing More Financially Resilient Partners
Rainbow Rehabilitation Centre is aiming to be locally financially sustainable. TEN has been able to support them towards this. In the last year Pastor Dušan Beređi has been developing a tool hire business that will be run by the rehab centre.
TEN was able to help Rainbow test the idea by funding a scaffolding tower. Rainbow bought more equipment and are slowly growing this new revenue stream alongside their longestablished removals business.
Building Projects
A building remains an important tool for ministry in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. For the last seven years TEN has had a relationship with International Cooperating Ministries. During that time, we have raised over €260,000 for sixteen different church and community centre projects in six different nations.
Roma Ministries
In Bojnik, South Serbia, Roma leaders Danijel and Aleksandra Rečković have planted and established a church. They are using their experience in running kindergartens to develop an education centre in the community. Your support has enabled this work of bringing education to pre-school Roma children, which is directly linked to a higher engagement in education throughout their childhood, giving them greater opportunities in their futures.

Charitable Activity is mainly financial support for our partners through ministry grants. In addition to this, your financial support enables us to provide funding for development projects, many of which enable our partners to build sustainability, work towards self-sufficiency and to adhere to best practice principles. You can read
about some of these on pages 12–13. Global economic uncertainty, fuelled by conflict and fluctuations in international trade tariffs, has meant that we have—with God’s guidance— had to act prudently to ensure good stewardship of the funds received. We continue to maintain a strong balance sheet and solid financial position.
