Kerry Motor Club and the organising committee of the Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Rally have announced the return of the Tralee Quickfit RallyTown event on Saturday, March 29. This showcase exhibition will set the stage for the 50th Circuit of Kerry Rally, taking place the following day in Tralee and West Kerry.
Following the success of RallyTown in 2019 and 2023, the event will once again bring motorsport excitement to Tralee town centre, featuring a static display of rally cars in the Mall. Organized with the support of Tralee Chamber
Alliance, the event aims to connect the rally with the community while generating a welcome boost for local businesses.
This year’s RallyTown is proudly sponsored by Tralee Quickfit for the second time. Owned by Kerry Motor Club members John, Sandra, and Lauren Corrigan, the business offers tyre and windscreen replacement services in Tralee’s town centre. The event runs from 12 PM to 5 PM on March 29, giving fans a unique chance to see rally cars up close and meet the drivers. Circuit of Kerry Clerk of the Course Jonathan O’Shea expressed excitement about bringing
the rally atmosphere into town, highlighting the event’s positive impact on local businesses and tourism.
Tralee Chamber Alliance CEO Colette O’Connor welcomed the initiative, emphasizing its familyfriendly appeal and contribution to the town’s vibrant atmosphere. Meanwhile, rally fans can now get their hands on the 2025 Rose Hotel Circuit of Kerry Official Programme—a 76-page collector’s item priced at €15, packed with rally insights and history. photo ; Club member Sarah Leahy selling official rally programmes for The Rose Hotel
Kerry College graduate Dawn has officially been attested as a sworn member of An Garda Síochána, demonstrating the power of Further Education and Training in achieving career goals.
After completing her Leaving Certificate at Mercy Mounthawk in 2022, Dawn enrolled in Kerry College’s Pre-Garda (Legal Studies) course at Clash Road Campus to gain insight into policing.
“I had no prior experience, so the course helped me explore the job in depth and build confidence before applying,” she explained.
Passionate about helping people and drawn to the dynamic nature of policing, Dawn was eager to join An Garda Síochána. She valued the variety of challenges each shift
presents and the opportunities for skill development across different areas of law enforcement.
Her time at Kerry College provided a strong foundation in legal studies, along with real-world experiences such as visits to Garda College and Limerick Prison, which deepened her understanding of the role.
“Kerry College is committed to career-focused education that prepares learners for real-world employment,” said Stephen Goulding, Principal of Kerry College.
“Dawn’s success highlights how the Pre-Garda course helps students transition seamlessly into law enforcement.”
Now stationed in Dublin as a probationary Garda, Dawn reflected on her rapid career progression:
“Less than a year ago, I was working in retail. Now, I’m a sworn Garda.”
Applications for the Pre-Garda (Legal Studies) course at Kerry College are now open. Visit www.kerrycollege.

Fitzgerald outlined a clear focus on internal development, member engagement, community outreach, and early preparation for future elections.
“With no local or general elections immediately ahead, this is the perfect time for growth right across the county. We have a chance now to strengthen the foundations of the party in Kerry and ensure we’re ready to deliver when the time comes.”

Catriona Cantillon, Manager, Zero Gravity Sports Performance & Fitness Studio, highlights the latest research on High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and how it can transform your fitness journey.
A recent Cyprus study found that HIIT is incredibly effective at reducing visceral fat, the harmful belly fat linked to hormonal imbalances, clogged organs, and type 2 diabetes.
Researchers compared two groups:
• One group followed traditional gym workouts four times a week.
• The other did two gym workouts + two HIIT sessions (Les Mills GRIT).
After eight weeks, both groups lost fat, but the HIIT group saw superior results:
• 2.2 cm reduction in waist size
• 2.2% decrease in visceral fat
Plus, HIIT participants experienced better cardiovascular fitness, sprint speed, and arm strength.
Another study explored fitness retention after a workout break. Participants trained for six weeks, then stopped for 2.5 weeks.
Only those who did HIIT or resistance training maintained their muscle mass and strength—even when they stopped exercising!
This means HIIT helps you stay fit for longer, making it perfect before a holiday, operation, or any fitness break.

O St. Martha, I resort to thee and to thy petition and faith, I offer up to thee this light which I should burn every Tuesday for nine Tuesdays. Comfort me in all my difficulties thro’the great favour thou didst enjoy when our Savour lodged in thy house.l beseech thee to have definite pity in regard to the favour I ask (mention favour). Intercede for my family that we may always be provided for in all our necessities. I ask thee St. Martha to over come the dragon which thou didst cast at thy feet. One Our Father and three Hail Mary’s and a lighted candle every Tuesday and the above prayer made known with the intentions of spreading devotions to St. Martha. This miraculous Saint grants everything before the Tuesdays are ended. No matter how difficult.
O Most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein You are my Mother. O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech You from the bottom of my heart to succor me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand Your power. O show me herein You are my Mother. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee. (3 times) Sweet Mother, I place this cause in Your hands. (3 times) Say this prayer for 3 consecutive days and then you must publish it and it will be granted to you. A.D.
