Na Gaeil are 2023 Rose Cup Winners!
At the GAA Rose Cup sponsored by the Bons Secours on Sat 19th at Healy Park and Na Gaeil GAA grounds, 16 teams competed to win Rose Cup and Rose Shield. There were teams from all around Kerry and further afield too. In Rose Cup final we had John Mitchels V Na Gaeil with Na Gaeil coming through in a very stuff game against John Mitchels. In the Rose Shield Final, Legion faced Austin Stacks with the Legion team winning out in the end.
The competition sponsors, the Bons Secours kindly sponsored all medals on the day.

Kerry FC proudly announces Ryan Kelliher, their leading scorer, has secured a longterm contract until the end of the 2025 season. In his debut SSE Airtricity First Division season, Kelliher has impressively scored 10 goals across league and cup matches. Notably, he played a key role in both victories, contributing 4 out of 5 winning goals. With nearly 2000 minutes of play in 2023, the number 9 has become indispensable under Billy Dennehy’s guidance. In 30 games, Kelliher appeared in 29, starting 22 and making 6 substitute appearances.
This momentous occasion goes beyond Kelliher’s personal success, as he becomes Kerry FC’s first player to sign a professional contract. This holds significance for both the club and the player. Kelliher’s journey traces back to Killarney, where he developed skills with Killarney Celtic before progressing to Kerry FC’s Academy. After a stint with Killarney Celtic due to the absence of a senior Kerry team, Kelliher returned in 2023, aligning with Kerry’s inaugural League of Ireland year.
Expressing his delight, Kelliher stated, “I’m thrilled to
cement my bond with Kerry FC through a professional contract. The club’s forwardlooking vision and plans are promising. Representing my county while wearing the Kerry FC jersey is an honor I cherish. Tom Crean Unsung Hero Cycle to hit the road on September 30th
The Kerry branch of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) is gearing up for the 6th annual Tom Crean Unsung Hero Cycle on September 30th, starting from Ballyseedy Home and Garden Centre in Tralee. This charitable event aims to raise essential funds for crucial services like speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy for children and adults, all unsupported by direct government funding. In tribute to renowned explorer Tom Crean, whose family is involved in DSI Kerry, and to honor Emily Keohane, a cherished DSI Kerry
member who passed away in 2017, the cycle embarks from Ballyseedy Home and Garden Centre’s main entrance at 9 am. Three route choices are offered: Route A (75km) takes cyclists from Tralee through Annascaul and Inch before returning; Route B (112km) includes a Dingle journey via the Conor Pass; Route C (150KM) extends around Slea Head before looping back via the Conor Pass.
