What’s Been Happening at TFS?
January is a month that is often used as a time of reflection, looking back on the previous year –sometimes fondly and sometimes we’re glad to see the back of it!

For TFS, this January is about looking ahead. We are constantly working towards bettering our team, our business and hitting home are value; Commit, Engage and Invest.
The first big step for 2021 is investment in new office space. The team will always look back on our time spent at Munro Business Park with a hint of nostalgia as the first real space we could base ourselves but in one short year we have already outgrown that space. Our new offices are still based in Kilmarnock but are fully ours to call our own - Jenny has been having a great time knocking down walls! We are set to make the move in March this year, but will make sure the process is a streamline as possible as not to affect the service we provide our customers.
With this move, we will have a larger training room to provide our customers that are based closer to home. We were lucky enough to secure funding through the Digital Boost Funding Programme, so we have designed a state of the art training room that will enhance the learner experience as well as support the digital shift we are seeing in construction recently. We are working behind the scenes to create a schedule for regular open courses – so watch this space!
We are also really excited to announce that we are also working towards our Cyber Essentials Certification. Our digital security has always been a big focus for the business, and this certification will guarantee that security to our customers, partners and suppliers.
2021 was a big year for the team at TFS. Carly successfully completed her Kickstarter probation and has been taken on as a permanent employee. She is now working towards her SVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration SCQF Level 6 and so far has been doing an amazing job!
Robert and Jake, as of February will also be progressing as permanent employees and will be increasing their hours to a full time basis to allow them to manage more of their accounts.
Sadly, Sally moved onto pastures new at the end of 2021. She will be missed and we would like to thank her for all of her help throughout her time with TFS.
We are buzzing to see what 2022 holds for Training First Safety, we are looking forward to having you along for the journey!
