THE B R IDGE

IN THIS ISSUE: Trailer Bridge Delivers Disney Dreams | Congrats TB Graduates!

Team Spotlight: Trailer Bridge International

TB loves making dreams come true!

MAKING DisneyDreams HAPPEN

Trailer Bridge made dreams come true for a special little girl named Savannah at her Tiana themed Dream Reveal Party. In partnership with Dreams Come True Jacksonville, TB sponsored Savannah’s dream to go on a Disney Cruise with her mom and dad.

The TBGives team hosted the party at our corporate location and went all out to make the party fit for a princess. Savannah was welcomed with a human tunnel waving pom-pom, a cheerleading performance, and Disney decorations galore. She was also given a Tiana costume so she could look like her favorite Disney princess while her dream was revealed.

Trailer Bridge is honored to work with Dreams Come True Jacksonville throughout the year to sponsor dreams like Savannah’s and fund birthday celebrations for other children helped by the organization.

We all wish Savannah and her family the best time on their Disney Cruise!

GETS WILD

Trailer Bridge team members in Jacksonville took a walk on the wild side when they volunteered at the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary. Volunteers helped organization leaders with projects around the facility and ended their day with a tour of the big cats.

JACOB WEGRZYN & EDGAR PEREZ

MARITIME PORT EXECUTIVE CERTIFICATIONS

Trailer Bridge’s Vice President of the Caribbean Jacob Wegrzyn and Director of Ports Edgar Perez both recently earned the Maritime Port Executive (MPE) certificate from the International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE).

This certificate is considered to be the industry standard for training port professionals to succeed in the business. Even though both men have worked in the logistics industry for multiple decades, it shows that every member of Trailer Bridge can embrace the TB12 ‘Pursue Growth and Learning.’

When asked how earning the certificate would impact his role at Trailer Bridge, Edgar Perez was excited to share what he had learned with his team:

“This helped me greatly broaden my knowledge of the industry for the benefit of our company… I’m looking forward to sharing this knowledge with my teams and help them to ‘Make it Happen’ for our internal and external clients.”

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH JACOB AND EDGAR ON THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENT!

LAUNCHED IN 2021,

Trailer Bridge International (TBI) is part of Trailer Bridge’s strategic growth plan to become a full-service logistics company. Through our NVOCC and Freight Forwarding licenses we can move cargo around the world with the same care and personal service we have built our reputation on.

“We have been working with Trailer Bridge for almost 2 years…We feel that we are blessed to have such a great freight forwarder company on our side and we are truly pleased to work with their staff. Their service is excellent and they are really fast and responsive, they follow and provide updates promptly.”

– SES Packaging Inc.

To learn more about the team and their plans for growth, we spoke with the Director of TBI, Zach Monger.

What is it like leading TBI while it is still in its beginning stages? What are the opportunities vs. challenges you have encountered?

Leading TBI while it is still in its beginning stages has been a very exciting and rewarding experience. However, it can also be very challenging.

OPPORTUNITIES:

The ability to make a real impact

Leading TBI, has given me the opportunity to make a real impact on the world. I have been able create a service that gives TB customers a one-stop shop for their global supply chains. We do more than move freight, we are making sure people around the world have the products they need. We are keeping supply chains and the global economy moving.

The chance to learn and grow

Leading TBI has been a great way to learn and grow as a leader. I have been exposed

PAGE 6

to a variety of challenges and opportunities, and I have had to learn how to deal with them effectively.

The chance to build a team

One of the most rewarding aspects of leading TBI is the chance to build a team of talented and passionate people. When you have a great team, you can achieve anything. I have surrounded myself with talented and passionate people who share my vision. My team is my most valuable asset, and I make sure I invest in them.

CHALLENGES

The need for regulatory compliance NVOCCs are subject to a number of regulations. This can be a challenge to keep up with.

Lack of experience

As a new NVOCC, we lack industry exposure and buying power. This can make it difficult to compete with established NVOCCs.

Being patient

It takes time to build a successful company. Don’t expect to become overnight success. Be patient and persistent, and you will eventually achieve your goals.

What is the most rewarding part of the work your team does?

The most rewarding part is helping our customers move their freight safely and efficiently. We understand that shipping freight can be a complex and timeconsuming process, and we are committed to making it as easy and stress-free as possible for our customers.

Our team is made up of experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service. We are always available to answer our customers’ questions and to help them find the best possible solutions for their shipping needs.

We are also proud to be a part of the global supply chain. Our work helps to connect businesses and consumers all over the world, and we are committed to making the world a more interconnected place. We believe that trade is essential for economic growth and development, and we are proud to play a role in making it happen.

What is unique about the TBI team and the work you do?

TBI is unique because an NVOCC is responsible for the entire shipping process, from booking the space to arranging the documentation. This can be a complex and time-consuming process, but the TBI team has the expertise and experience to make it as smooth and efficient as possible.

In addition to our expertise, we have a wide network of contacts in the shipping industry. This allows us to get the best possible rates and service for their customers.

TBI is always up-todate on the latest shipping regulations which ensures that our customers are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations

Finally, TBI offers whiteglove customer service. We treat our customs andvendors like family.

If you could describe the TBI team in 3-5 words, what would they be?

Energetic, Adaptable, Ambitious, Proactive, Collaborative

MARTIN JONES

Here is what the Truck Ops and Safety team had to say about TB’s Driver of the Month:

“Martin Jones started back in May 2016 but left to test other waters and humbly came back in 2019 and will tell you there is nowhere like Trailer Bridge. Martin has a smile that can be seen almost always on his face and a laugh that is contagious he is always willing to help anyone out, and is just all around a great guy. From a safety stand point he is a kind, safe driver that we are very fortunate to have.”
