TB RORO TRANSPORTS
MEGA GENERATORS TO PUERTO RICO
Puerto Rico Governor Pedro Pierluisi and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Coordinator Nancy Casper recently visited Trailer Bridge’s Puerto Rico port terminal to announce the arrival of the first shipment of mega generators that will support energy resilience on the island.
Trailer Bridge partnered with ATS International to support the move of the equipment from Arizona to Puerto Rico, which weighed more than 180,000 pounds and measured over 100 feet long. Trailer Bridge handled the ocean leg of the journey on the company’s RoRo barge, while ATS was responsible for land transportation in both Puerto Rico and the U.S.
The shipment is part of a long-term project to repair Puerto Rico’s electrical generation and power grid, increasing capacity to provide electricity to those on the island and reduce blackouts.
Read more about the move and how the generators will support electrical infrastructure on the island here.

This
project is personal for us because its more than a shipment of generators...
– Mitch Luciano, Trailer Bridge CEO
IT’S A PATH TO A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OUR TEAM MEMBERS AND NEIGHBORS ON THE ISLAND.
MEET TB’S ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT TEAM
Meet the Account Management team! This department is responsible for creating a stellar experience for all of Trailer Bridge’s Ocean customers by acting as a single point of contact for all freight shipping between the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
We caught up with Ann Phelps, Vice President of Customer Experience, Ocean, to learn more about the team:
What is unique about your Account Management team?
The unique part of the ACM team is the interaction with the customer, being that #1 point of contact. Each team member is responsible for supporting our customers – whether that is booking freight or communicating a sailing delay – they are the face of Trailer Bridge for these shippers.
What is the most rewarding part of your work?
For us, knowing we help facilitate the move from point A to Z because we are handling all types of cargo – everything from life-saving medical equipment to a family’s new boat.
What is the most challenging aspect of your work?
The most challenging aspect is the sailing delays, knowing we have no control.
If you had to describe the Account Management team in 3-5 words, what would they be?
I love this group and am so proud of the work they do day in and day out. If I had to narrow it down to a few words I would say: Committed, Efficient, Engaging, and Rewarding.

The Government Team Lands Big Opportunity
Trailer Bridge’s Government team moved 418 pieces of cargo- including vehicles, equipment, and containers- from Hawaii to the Philippines for a U.S. Marine Corps training exercise.
This shipment was awarded to Trailer Bridge through the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command’s USC contract, which coordinates the movement of U.S. military equipment and supplies through transportation industry partners.
Chad Yarbrough, Trailer Bridge’s Manager of Government Logistics, traveled to Hawaii to supervise the move at the port of Pearl Harbor. The cargo was loaded onto a heavy load carrier vessel, the UHL Force, and took over 52 hours from start to finish. Each piece had to be individually lifted by crane, positioned inside the vessel, and safely secured for transport.
Congratulations to the team on accomplishing this huge feat!
