To support our ambitious vision and the efforts detailed in our strategic plan, “All In—The Strategic Plan for Juniata College,” as well as our intention to secure our future as a Top 100 National Liberal Arts and Sciences College, Juniata is launching a $150 million comprehensive fundraising campaign.

This absolutely vital support provides Juniata with the resources we need to respond to emergent needs, fund critical scholarships, enhance student experiences, and maintain the campus environment that generations of alumni cherish. Strengthening Our Endowment

For the future, we must strengthen and expand our legacy of excellence, ensuring that Juniatians have the resources to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
Juniata’s endowment is the cornerstone of our long-term financial health and academic strength. There is no better way to ensure that we can deliver on our mission now and for future generations than by building the strongest endowment possible. Whether through endowed professorships, professional development funds, scholarships, or unrestricted gifts to Juniata’s endowment, donor support to build a sustainable, enduring legacy will do more than anything else to keep Juniata College competitive and financially healthy.
Scholarships and Financial Support
Scholarships ensure that our students have access to and benefit from the Juniata experience. They open doors and create a campus enriched by varied perspectives, fostering a truly inclusive learning environment. Today, 100% of first-year Juniata students receive some form of financial aid, and we don’t ever want financial pressures to affect our ability to provide it.
Significantly increased scholarship funding, coupled with a strong endowment, will ensure that we can continue to provide the financial aid and support our students need, particularly those from underrepresented, first-generation families, or economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
With donor investment, we will break down the barriers of affordability, relieve students’ debt burden, and ensure that financial circumstances never dictate a student’s ability to be a part of the transformative experience of a Juniata education.
Attracting and Retaining
the Best Faculty and Staff
Transformative moments for students often begin with a teacher or staff member, especially at Juniata. Our staff and faculty are mentors, scholars, and innovators who spark curiosity and ignite purpose within each student while building relationships that last a lifetime. Their excellence, passion, and dedication are the lifeblood of the College and a core reason for our success.
Through this campaign, we will enhance the essential resources available to our faculty and staff to support their professional growth, innovation, well-being, program development, teaching methods, and research. Highly sought-after endowed positions are lifelines that enable Juniata to compete with leading institutions for top talent. By supporting endowed chairs, professorships, and fellowships, donors empower our faculty to inspire generations of students to make their mark on the world.
Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is a hallmark of a Juniata education, setting our students apart as leaders prepared to tackle real-world challenges.
We provide valuable opportunities for hands-on learning through internships, studying abroad and domestically, mentored research, and community-engaged learning. Today 100% of our students graduate with the benefit of those opportunities. We will empower every Juniata student to pursue these experiences by providing enduring financial support for unpaid internships, research opportunities, and travel costs.
With support from this campaign, Juniata will offer every one of our students, regardless of their financial circumstances, unfettered access to the world of possibilities that experiential, high-impact practices offer, including a distinct advantage in a competitive job market.
Student Housing & the Residential Experience

For decades, our residence halls have launched countless friendships, hosted study sessions, and created memories.
As important to the Juniata experience as residence halls are, we recognize the importance of ensuring that these spaces evolve to meet contemporary needs and students’ expectations. Many of Juniata’s traditional dormitory-style residence halls were designed and built for a different era, with limited shared spaces and a lack of privacy, comfort, accessibility, and amenities that today’s students expect. With the support of this campaign, we will renovate our residence halls to reflect what our students need today: a safe, welcoming, comfortable environment that supports their academic and personal growth. With a focus on accessibility upgrades; renovated suites and apartments; and shared kitchens, lounges, and study zones, our residence halls will model what residential life should be.
Campus Infrastructure

At Juniata, we believe that learning should be active, human-centered, and future-proof. However, many of our academic spaces are constrained by deteriorating infrastructure and designed for outdated learning styles, with seating bolted to the floor, lecture configurations, and limited technology.
CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE
Brumbaugh Academic Center
This campaign will help us build spaces that support the active, flexible, collaborative learning environments where students learn best.
With donor support, we will continue renovating Brumbaugh Academic Center (BAC), which houses one-third of our instructional spaces, transforming it into a modern, student-centered educational facility. With state-of-the-art active classroom suites and flexible group learning zones equipped with the latest technology, these spaces will foster collaborative, real-world problem solving.
CAMPUS INFRASTRUCTURE
The Gateway Center
With the support of this campaign, Juniata is taking bold steps to address one of the most pressing and urgent issues for our region—healthcare access.
As the demand for skilled healthcare professionals increases to critical levels and as the largest local private employer, our role in building a vibrant healthy community where everyone thrives is more important than ever. Juniata’s planned Gateway Center at the corner of Moore and 17th streets will help us meet our community’s needs while simultaneously fueling economic growth and improving health outcomes in our region.
The new center will be a three-story, 24,100-square foot education, healthcare, and innovation facility equipped with high-tech labs, training stations, hands-on specialty suites, and modern office spaces for providers and non-profits. The top floor will house Juniata’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, providing undergraduate students with cutting-edge training and learning spaces to develop their skills. The bottom two floors will be dedicated to healthcare provider offices, attracting much-needed medical professionals to the area and fostering collaboration between the college, healthcare providers, and the local community. This project will improve access to essential healthcare services for the community; enhance the quality of nursing and primary care education through hands-on learning opportunities; attract and retain healthcare talent in our rural region; and cultivate meaningful partnerships between education, healthcare, and community stakeholders.
Athletics Programming & Infrastructure
GOAL
Participation in athletics at any level offers more than just a way to stay healthy and in shape; it provides a variety of benefits, including increased self-confidence, social connections, and improved academic performance.
With only one athletic building on campus, our students, faculty, and staff must make the most of limited space and minimally available equipment to stay healthy and fit. With the support of this campaign, we will enhance and renovate several of our athletic facilities, including the Kennedy Sports and Recreation Center, constructed in 1983, and our baseball and softball fields. We will also provide much-needed support for our athletics programs, ensuring access for our Juniata community to enriching engagement in athletics. By upgrading and rejuvenating our facilities and programs, we nurture not only athletic talent but also a strong sense of community and bolster the school spirit currently hindered by limited facilities.
