On behalf of everyone involved, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Seventh Annual Production Sale. It’s hard to believe that over 7 years ago I had a conversation with Jered, Graham, and Seth about hosting our first production sale. Those 3 people have been a tremendous amount of help over the years with our voyage and I would like to publicly thank them for their dedication, advice, and willingness to help make this event a success. Most importantly, I can’t thank our customers enough for their continued support of our program over the years. I say it every year, but I truly do enjoy visiting with customers every day and listening to the success reports. I am not going to lie to you and say that every conversation is perfect. If you are in the cattle business it is not always going to be sunny and 70 degrees. What I will tell you is that 98% of the time it is always compliments and 100% of the time everyone is satisfied when the conversation is over. There is no doubt that the cow-calf producer is in the driver’s seat moving forward! Low cow numbers and high demand for beef as a protein for our consumers equates for great times. We sold cattle as high in the last half of 2023 as we’ve ever seen, and the word on the street is 2024 will be even better! A good friend of mine that buys more than his fair share of feeder cattle told me that no matter what, good genetics still shine through and demand premiums regardless the market. I’ve shared some of the data on a few cattle in the catalog and it’s been quite exciting to see how our genetics perform for our customers. The humbling part of this data is we were informed by the feeders and the fat cattle buyers to tell the ranchers to not change a thing! With all that being said, we are not complacent with where we are from a breeding program standpoint. I find myself constantly contemplating, “how do we make them better, and how do we make more better ones for our valued customers”. This is a constant goal for our breeding program, and it is our unwavering commitment to deliver annually. There is not a lot of forgiveness on the cows that stand behind this bull offering. We still emphasize fertility, feet, udder, disposition and one that fits “the look”. If the cow does her job, everything falls into place. The bulls and females in this sale are a product that we are very proud of. We haven’t pushed any of them hard and let the genetics do the work. The females were developed on a 44 megacalorie diet as calves, bred the early part May and were sent to grass. We are firm believers the cattle are meant to convert grass to pounds. The bulls will have scrotal measurements, adjusted yearling weights and ultrasound data on a supplement sheet the week prior to the sale. As always, we will guarantee the bulls to pass a breeding soundness exam and will deliver them to you in the spring. The bred heifers will be re-examined to be safe in calf a few days before the sale and will sell that way. Feel free to call anytime you want and visit about the offering. More importantly, we want you to come and look at the cattle, stay for a prime rib sandwich, and enjoy all the refreshments you can stand. Thank you for your consideration in our program and we hope to see you February 10th in Highmore! Sincerely,
Chris Effling

Everything in this world seems to be on a faster pace with the rising use of technology on all levels of business. The internet has brought several changes to the world as we once knew it 30 years ago. Email, social media, and the general web have brought about convenience and efficiency, but along with that, our impatience has increased as some things cannot take any less time. The genetic turnover in animal agriculture is still controlled by Mother Nature, but at the same time with the internet-driven society, we are all guilty of going to the next new thing as far as sire selection instead of relying on what is proven. The implementation of genomics has helped to take some of the guesswork out while creating separation among full sibs, but we still need to blend that final sort with a good eye. Technology will continue to improve, and genomics will continue to have a role, especially with the submission of more data over time, but the facts are from conception to the point of marketing it will always be at least 18 months to two years. Chris Effling has always had the long-game approach, as should any great rancher or stockman. The decisions made today are those that are marketed for the operation in two years for the males, 3 years for the bred females, or when females are retained, it will impact the program for nearly two decades just as the 3C Melody M668 BZ donor has done for the CK and Wager programs. Much of the sort has been done with one of the very best, eye evaluations in the business and now with the introduction of different gene pools, data, and DNA submission, the operation begins to take shape and evolve in one of the very elite seedstock providing firms our great nation has. You, as an interested and potential client, guaranteed one thing, and that one thing is that the stock in Highmore, SD will only get better because of the no-excuse, zero-tolerance philosophy on criteria that costs money to manage. We promise you that this set of bulls is the very best these firms have ever brought to public auction. The sire groups represented differ in performance and phenotype but also some of the very elite within their categories in the nation to be sold this spring. Bulls that maintain the performance and numeric profiles are phenotypically superior to their contemporaries nationwide and offer industry-standard improving expectations that should allow them to sire the absolute best for those that invest. As far as those that prefer to just sort them with the eye, we are confident that you will be able to find several that fit the bill to be turned out on a set of cows to sire cattle that will command top dollar for their balance, kind, and visual performance too. Chris absolutely believes in hoof quality as indicated by the set of stock from top to bottom regardless of gender or breed composition, skeletal integrity is all-inclusive, and the dams that support the entire offering have been sorted and culled on for factors that deal with milk production, pounds of calf weaned, udder, fertility, and anything else related to longevity in production. We cannot stress enough how critical the operation has been to get to this point to allow themselves the product they have for your annual appraisal on the second Saturday of February. As humans when we engage in business, we analyze how the potential decision is going to advance the scenario what benefits come with the business agreement and how much longevity will this single decision have within our business plan. If you are of commercial affiliation with your ranching model and you sell your cattle at weaning or as yearlings, the task of picking up the phone and reaching out to Chris is simple and letting him know your target date for sale and the auction market of preference for your calves is necessary. Chris Effling will hustle to get your feeder cattle placed and be there the day you sell them either in person, on the phone, or through another representative to assist in getting your cattle marketed for the absolute most that they can gather up on that given day. It’s a perk of the program and if you have not ever invested in a CK or Wager bull before, this is that opportunity to do business with an outfit that will do everything and anything they can to lead you down the right path and assist in capturing the most dollars for your end product. We encourage you to reach out to Chris if you have questions or need more details on the follow-through customer service he has to offer. Ladies and gentlemen, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention Chris’ right-hand lady, his wife Kristi. Kristi helps with most of the day-to-day, whatever needs done, she can handle most any task and takes care of most all the data recording and paperwork in between calving cows and any other ranch duties. If you need anything regarding CK Cattle and Wager Cattle, you might want to start with Kristi. The support from Kristi’s family, her parents, and her brother Dusty is also needed to make this a full-circle turn-key family operation. It’s an offering that is certainly dense in quality and loaded with opportunities to enhance any operation in the land. The people involved are industry loyalists and have the reputation and resume’ for all things beef related. If you need any assistance with any information or purchases, please feel free to contact any of the Innovation AgMarketing team and we will be more than happy to assist you!

CK AND WAGER SIRED CALVES TOP THE MARKET! “We have been purchasing Simmental and SimAngus bulls from CK Cattle and Wager Cattle to capitalize on the added heterosis that SimGenetics can bring to the table. The improved carcass data, real world performance, and ability to consistently grade is what these bulls have contributed to our operation. The Simmental influenced cattle not only perform in the feedlot, but the female contemporaries offer a strong maternal foundation that will benefit the cowherd for years to come. We have been very impressed with the ability that these bulls have to cover large country and maintain flesh during breeding season.”

The 2023 class of cattle by the $175,000 FRKG CKCC Platinum 009H ET will cause a stir in the SimGenetic circles after the 2024 bull run. We strongly believe there will be an uptick in semen revenue on this sire this upcoming breeding season, especially by those who witness this lead-off stud in the 2024 CK Cattle & Wager Cattle Annual Production Sale. The dam of this bull is also a past high seller and sale feature from the bred division of this marketing venue in 2021. The direct daughter of the Steenhoek and Wayward Hill stud and past Percentage National Champion, CDI Innovator 325D, commanded a final hammer price of $40,000 as the selection of Maple Lane Farm of Shipshewana, IN. She is rich in cow family as she is a maternal granddaughter of the late donor dam known as 3C Melody M668 BZ so, therefore, her ability to generate top-shelf seedstock such as this impressive stud is expected, and anything less is not accepted. CKCC MR Platinum 3463L has a full sister who is certainly impressive in her own right. This mating is very good and will be met with appreciation and admiration by those who like the good stock with a story already told. Predictability and profitability are also inclusive, so invest with confidence, as he will turn a program around or take a solid program to the next level. 3643L is the phenotypic superior individual with industry-accepted performance with balanced carcass merit!

MR NLC Upgrade U8676 certainly did a lot of programs good throughout the country. People can pick at him and be critical all they want but at the end of the day, the good stock by the Genex stud is still good today. He had a very positive impact on the commercial sector as well as he consistently sired cattle that had true dimension, true shape of muscle and body, cattle that could travel, daughters that were wet and fertile, and sons that were rewarded on the rail with premiums. 3703L would have a double shot of the Christiansen/Dunsmore stud and should breed true to lineage with growth and cutability enhanced.

The daughters of Hart Eclipse 510Y are mainstays at CK Cattle and Wager Cattle. They are tried and true producers of pounds and substance just like this stud that sells as Lot 9. This Purebred herd bull prospect comes with a very manageable birth weight and offers pre and post-weaning performance. He is loaded with center body, soggy in his look, and has the shape necessary to be valid in beef production.

Pay attention to the goods that this herd sire prospect brings to the table. Besides his 103 weaning ratio with performance EPD’s that match, he balances his numeric profile with sustainable calving ease and birthweight, and still raises the bar for all things regarding carcass merit. He too is big in his overall physical appearance with substantial WDA. CKCC MR Undisputed 3731L is also from a CCR Cowboy Cut 5048Z influenced dam that brings the calving ease into the equation as well, as he ranked number one amongst his contemporaries for birth weight. Tie in here on a moderate, dense-built stud that could work ideally on a set of twoyear-old females, and possibly heifers with some management.

He too is big in his overall physical appearance with substantial WDA. Another SimGenetic stud with the potent Angus influence from DL Sonic 2086 on the maternal side. When one searches DL Sonic 2086 on the ASA website you will notice that he offers incredible growth and conversion figures with a top 1% merit for Marb and very ideal calving ease! Like his maternal grandsire, 3773L translates many of those same benefits as he betters the mean for profit markers across his number profile.

We certainly admire the density and look that this son of FRKG CKCC Undisputed 005H ET brings to the table! He is dense bodied, big topped, and stout ended. The maternal side of his pedigree is loaded with maternal excellence! The dam of 3679L is a young and very productive daughter of ES Right Time FA1104, the senior herd sire at CK Cattle that is making waves across the business! This stud blends many of the proven and breed-leading sires and donor dams throughout his entire lineage. If you are an outfit that prefers them rugged, high performing, good looking, and a resume filled with the very best industry leaders in terms of phenotype, then dial down, and dial in on 3679L!

CKCC BELLA’S PLATINUM 2680K Maternal Brother to Lots 14-18 Purchased by Todd Klockgether
We initiate a set of five flush brothers from the proven matriarch FSC2 Bella, more commonly referred to as “54Z2”, we suggest that now is the time to incorporate her influence into your respective program. These sons of ES Right Time FA110-4 are the safest way to do just that as they are suitable from every angle in terms of performance, structure, balance, and numbers. 54Z2 has certainly left a string of sons and daughters that impact this program at every level. Bulls that are built like this lead-off brother that brings the balance of look, performance, and substance are exactly the kind that is worthy to trail any set of cows for any program of any affiliation, seedstock or commercial. Without a doubt, 3631L is one of the premier herd sire candidates to inject eye appeal, stoutness, and genuine quality. His recip dam did not allow him to meet his full potential at weaning time, don’t let that hold you back from owning one of the elite SimGenetic bulls in this year’s offering!

A very impressive beef animal that has the sheer product with outlying performance and mass throughout his entire build. Without question, this is the biggest, heaviest, and most powerful of the five brothers as he came to the weaning scales to mash them down and weigh in with over 770 pounds of payweight. Weight means more today than ever, so take advantage of the opportunity to improve.

Lots 19 and 20 are full sibs that are maternal brothers to Lot 1. WAGR MS Innovator 9026G is writing her own chapter for the CK Cattle & Wager Cattle history book. The donor dam’s short stint in production sure deems her to be more than acceptable on multiple fronts for donor dam of the year within the program. As time goes on and industry demands change or shift, we are willing to bet that 9026G will remain at the absolute forefront for producing the goods needed to stay within the upper echelon of those requisites. Lot 19 came to the weaning pen with 817 pounds of weaning weight. He is three-dimensional from every angle and comes rancher approved. Lot 20 raised the bar across the board postgenomic submission. He offers index values in the top 15% for TI, the top 25% API with EPD carcass values in the top 10% for CW, and the top 15% for Marb. 42L is also one that charts DOC in the top 15% with growth factors in the top 20% for YW and ADG, and the top 25% for WW as well.

Here is one of the youngest sons of ES Right Time FA110-4 in the offering but we feel as if he is also one of the very best. He is from a direct daughter of the Melody Matriarch by TL Ledger and ratios an impressive 89 at birth. After genomics, he proves to be one that should improve carcass premiums when his cattle are taken to harvest. However, we strongly encourage you, seed stock-oriented cattlemen, to pay close attention to the important traits he can improve in any operation from a standpoint of phenotype, balance, and structure. He should prove to be one of the very best of his sire group to sell.

The impact of the “Merle” Angus cow family is very legendary for a multitude of programs, specifically Duff Power Plus and the Griswold Cattle firms. The number of sires and females that bear the family name is quite significant in population as well as quality. Threedimensional stock that can readily convert forage to pounds but yet have the surface area skeletal width at their disposal. Great cow families generate high results more often than not and TL Dixie 84, the donor dam of this duo, represented greatness in her youth as she was shown and exhibited by the youngest of the tribe, Kenidey. She was Reserve Champion Female at the 2017 North Central Regional, Champion at the 2017 South Dakota State Fair, and went on to the National Western Stock Show to be Reserve Champion Percentage Simmental Female. Although highly decorated on the tanbark, she has more than paid her way within the barbed wire in Hyde County South Dakota as she continually makes them like this pair of full brothers by ES Right Time FA110-4!

The quality just keeps steady within the confines of the very best and largest set of ES Right Time FA110-4 sons ever offered at public auction or elsewhere in the nation. The influence of EC Rebel 156F contributes to the look and quality noted on the bottom side of the equation for lot 26 as well. What an impressive stud from end to end that offers the right credentials for the acquisition interview, top 10% YW and top 15% WW and ADG combined with 735 pounds of scalecrushing weight at weaning.

He posts EPD values for YW in the top 4%, top 5% for WW, top 10% for ADG and MWW, Marb and REA numbers in the top third, and index values that are top 15% TI and top 30% for API. Angus matrons carrying the sire service of VA First Round tend to be very impactful wherever they roam such as this Georgina Family member. This SimAngus duo of full-brother sire prospects should impress those who visit the ranch before or on sale day. His mass, substance, and shape will be suitable for any discriminating rancher. Curve bending performance is offered in a multitude of traits. Lot 28 offers growth in the top 15% for YW and ADG with the top 20% WW values. Lot 29 is very competitive after genomics with his performance abilities in comparison to his full sib. The guesswork is removed and here lies an opportunity to turn out full sibs and improve the uniformity of your marketing groups.

These sons of WAGR Patriot 1008J should stir things up once people evaluate them in person. They are beef business stock from every angle of evaluation, physically and genetically. The breeding behind this one is loaded proof positive in fashion with the influence of ES Right Time FA110-4 and the Angus heritage of JMB Traction 292. This rugged, soggy-built specimen posts some digits that are more than friendly in his direction. He posted a weaning ratio of 109 with an actual birth weight of 79 pounds which helps equate to top-end birth and CE with top 3% YW and top 4% WW and ADG. His daughter retention predictors allow him top 5% for MWW, and top 25% for both Milk and DOC with a stay number still in the upper half of the breed. When you take this sires calves through retained ownership to reap the benefits of his conversion numbers, you should also enjoy additional premiums on the rail as he charts top 5% for REA, top 10% CW, top 25 % YG, and a figure for Marb in the top 40%. The sons by the past $26,000 sale feature, WAGR Patriot 1008J, are certain to catch your attention on sale day. They are big spread cattle that combine phenotype with a balanced and impressive data package. We would like to have every hoof in the sale post a number profile such as this herd sire prospect. He should fit the bill for nearly any computer-aged cowboy and keep a program grounded in the top third. How many cattle harvested annually would be in the top third for 12 profit-driven traits and index values? Who is to know exactly but if they were in the top third, consistency would not be an issue in terms of the final product. This bull came to the weaning pen with 773 pounds of weaning weight to post a ratio of 108. There is no question as to what this bull has to offer the business, the question is what you are willing to invest to improve your respective program to stay in the front of the pack!

We present three brothers from the legendary donor dam J6RA Bada Bing 1602B otherwise known as “Bobbi”. This donor female won everything there was to win on the road during her show career. We realize that commercial bull buyers would rather not see a backdrop photo or do business with an outfit that exhibits cattle, however, if you are one of those ranchers that thinks that way, you need to realize that J6RA Bada Bing 1602B was not your typical show heifer. 1602B won, not because she was flat muscled and trendy, she won because no evaluator could deny her ring presence that was loaded with dominating genuine skeletal width, the overwhelming amount of surface area she consumed, or the blessing of substance of bone and hoof size she had to her credit. “Bobbi” was the legit beef animal in her tenure on the tanbark and she proved it annually in her progeny. Rest assured, one like her will take some time to recreate, so if you’re serious about the beef business and need an injection of power, substance, and genetics proven to smash the scales down at weaning, this is where you need to focus and pay attention on acquiring the kind to get that done. WAGR Driver 706T ranks top 3% YG, top 5% REA, top 10% Stay, and top 10% Marb.
Lot 41 and 42 are direct sons of WAGR Driver 706T that are simply incredible to evaluate. They offer so much in terms of length, frame, and weight. This pedigree has some age to it, but the genetics are proven to sire feeder cattle that will weigh and harvest on the grid with premiums attached and the females retained will only make a program better or will have the phenotype and quality to be marketed as bred females that should capture top dollar at the chose marketplace. Buying one or both brothers is only a winning decision that should positively impact a program for years and generations to come.

We know that this son of J6RA Bada Bing 1602B by Ruby’s Currency 7134E will be found on many short lists come sale day. If you are a loyal customer of the program and have not tied into a son of 7134E, then this one is a must-have. Impressive from every angle of evaluation in terms of power, density, and shape. He is no question a beef bull that will stamp a set of calves. This stud is more than acceptable for any program, seedstock, or commercial, and very much in the same league for phenotype as his WAGR Driver 706T sired brothers that precede him in this lot order. This stud came to the weaning pen with over 770 pounds of payweight and should be a cutability sire with plenty of red meat yield that also ranks in the top third of the business for all things conversion, WW, YW, ADG, Milk, and MWW.

The Ruby’s Currency 7134E sire group isn’t as large in number, but it is certainly high on quality! We think that several great cattlemen will be drawn to the depth of side and attractive build this stud comes with. He is very sensible at birth with a modest 85 pounds that contributed to his profitable weaning measurement. This son of the Outlaw daughter is very suitable on his carcass expectations as she ranks in the top 25% for both REA and Marb.

We begin the CKCC Lincoln 0631H ET sire group with a stout made herd bull prospect that is backed by a dam that ties not only MR NLC Upgrade U8676, but also the influence of a full sister to WAGR Driver 706T and the late donor dam, WAGR Lullaby 703T. 3784L is a 102 weaning weight ratio stud that ranks in the top 25% for ADG, along with top 30% WW and YW. This moderate, dense-built creature is in the top 2% for WW, top 3% for YW, top 10% for ADG, and top 15% for MWW. The carcass value is very rich as well within the genomic enhanced data as he ranks in the top 1% for REA, top 3% for YG, and top 10% for CW. 3777L is one of serious consideration for those who want to be profitable in the industry.

What a stud that consumes all that’s great in the CK program! The influence of the sire is in perfect harmony with the added influx of power and substance from ES Right Time FA110-4, MR NLC Upgrade U8676, and 3C Melody M668 BZ. This herd bull prospect posts a weaning ratio of 110 that assists his top 10% ranking for ADG, top 15% mark for YW, top 20% WW, with the maternal staying power that has his milk and MWW in the top third of the breed. However, what’s even more impressive are the profit drivers he posts for carcass merit with top 5% CW, top 15% Marb, and top 20 % REA. Nice numbered, very appropriate index values, scale-pounding performance, and the right kind physically are what you will find in Lot 47.

This son of CKCC Lincoln 0631H ET is from a set of females that Chris purchased from the Chris Christiansen program. The “UC” prefix represents working-class females that are extremely solid in the fundamentals of beef production and overall industry value. 3791L posted a very impressive 743 pounds of weaning weight to ratio 110, which only enhances his top 25% values for WW and YW with an ADG value that keeps him in the top third of the business as well. Very solid candidate to sire feeder cattle with industry and carcass merit, but one that will sire females worthy of remaining in any program.

The lone son of the past Hartman Cattle Company sale feature sire by Ruby’s Currency 7134E and a maternal brother to Profit known as Justified. Justified has done the job across the nation and has left a lot of great stock around with his influence. This direct son of the highly decorated donor dam, TL Dixie 84, is certainly note and investment worthy for any phase of beef production. He lines up two of the most potent dams in the program and so it’s the cow power that generated the bull power in this genetic equation.

Another curve-bending son of OMF Epic E27 with the influence of a Profit sired dam that pounds the scales significantly with 890 pounds of pay weight. 328L is massive in terms of his center body, top shape, and from behind. A rugged made, dense built herd sire prospect that is one of the heaviest weaning bulls in the entire sale! A special attraction on February 10 if you are looking to add to your bottomline!

One would certainly admire the maternal side of this stud’s pedigree as it includes the influence of the Thomas Ranch bred, Kearns Cattle Company owned Angus Matriarch, TR MS Precision 2077Z. 2077Z would be responsible for many of the SimGenetic sale-topping bulls that have graced the catalog pages for Kearns Cattle Company, and she left a set of females that are productively following in their dam’s footsteps. 3615L records indexes in the top 20% for API and TI along with DOC as well. He will keep the performance and carcass in the top 25% for WW, YW, and Marb as well. Raised by a first calf heifer.

SFI Enough Said D3 daughters have made their place for the CK and Wager programs both as they are relentless and tireless in production. The calves weaned by the D3 daughters are generally towards the top end from the WDA vantage point and ratio very well among their contemporaries like 3626L. No extremes, just balance, and proven performance merit. Raised by a first calf heifer.

Brent and Jenny Roller selected a son of OMF Epic E27 from the outfit a couple of years ago, CKCC Backcountry 1623J. He did everything right, just as expected, manageable to light at birth with significant conversion to weaning and on to yearling as indicated by the numeric profile. This stud ratios 119 at weaning but yet offers a CE value in the top 20% and BW in the top 25%. Raised by a first calf heifer.

Sensible birth with solid growth and performance across the board. His expected data keep him in the top half of the breed or better for BW, WW, YW, ADG, MCE, Marb, REA, and both indexes. Raised by a first calf heifer.
CKCC Backcountry 1623J is a sire that is stamping his stock with grit, substance, power, body shape, and skeletal integrity from end to end. The sire group consistently keeps within the center lines of the industry standards numerically and should generate daughters with longevity and productive staying power within the cowherd. Set that satchel down here and invest! Raised by a first calf heifer.

CKCC MR Dutton 1606J is sired by OMF Epic E27 and backed by a maternal sister to the highly decorated donor dam of distinction for the JS Simmentals and Wayward Hill programs known as, WHF Summer 365C. We think very highly of the freshman class of this particular sire group and chose to initiate his service with one from the influence of the great TJ High Calibre 556B! The rugged build and kind of 3647L is supported by his top 25% WW, top 30% REA, and top 35% YG, YW, and MWW.

Many good cattlemen will find this son of CKCC MR Dutton 1606J come sale day and be equally attracted to his number profile. One definition of balance is “in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.”We believe that many will see this herd bull prospect as representative of that definition. Not only does he come to the weaning pen and ratio 103, but this individual is in the top 10% for WW, top 15% for both YW, and as far as carcass merit goes he is in the top 25% for CW and REA. A rugged made herd bull that is backed by the 3C Melody M668 BZ influence maternally.

3647L is another son of CKCC MR Dutton 1606J that deserves serious consideration on sale day! He offers a balanced number profile to accompany his curve bending performance data. The performance, mass, and substance that the duo has to offer is second to none. They are very true to lineage on both sides as they represent the paternal influence of any high-selling individual, OMF Hard Right H21. The progeny of OMF Hard Right H21 have surpassed industry standards for growth and power as they have proven to be ranch-worthy by those who acquired the first of the group a year ago. Another moderate birth weight sire comes to the weaning pen to ratio 104 with above-average growth and suitable carcass merit. 3075L is a dense made, deep bodied, sound footed bull that is supported by the influence of WAGR Thunderstruck 21B on the bottom side of his pedigree.

The $620,000 STCC Tecumseh 058J has caused quite a stir in the SimGenetic circles this fall as his freshman class of females were marketed across the country with great success. Marketing the bull mates should prove to be even more successful with added enthusiasm to figure out which is the very best of the sire group this year. We believe that this direct son from the Profit daughter of the great Bailey’s Ms Dreamy 946W is one to reckon with. The amount of skeletal extension and shear substance that he has to contribute to a set of cows is very serious when it comes to contributing to pounds of calf weaned. He will certainly mature into a very generously sized specimen of genetic and phenotypic quality with the donor dams that bless his lineage.

Here is the direct son of the great J6RA Bada Bing 1602B sired by the $620,000 high selling STCC Tecumseh. The Influence that “Bobbi” and her dam, GF Evening Tinge 1X, have had on this marketing venue has been significant since the beginning. While the mother-daughter duo can’t possibly outdo the likes of 3C Melody M668 BZ or FSC2 Bella, the amount of dollars generated throughout their lifetimes has been significant. The cattle are just so good and consistent from one mating to the next and one of the most certain things about this business is that good cattle will never go completely out of style. Invest in the 058J son that comes with the proven goods with the build and presence that represents the story.

This great built attractive son of STCC Tecumseh 058J is backed by a maternal sister to TMAS Can’t Touch This 8513F. One that ties marbling and yield grade in a very profitable combination, with a great look and overall kind. The “Rosie” cow family is one of the very best yet today!

Conley Sheza Star D3 commanded a $120,000 hammer price as Lindskov’s LT Ranch and Aces Wild Ranch selected her at the historic Conley Cattle Simmental Dispersion this past fall. This son of STCC Tecumseh 058J is a maternal brother to the $100,000 Conley High Rise F3, a go-to low, birth weight, purebred Simmental stud that consistently sires quality stock that are desirable in their overall build and body shape. We believe that most will appreciate the density and body shape this 058J son has to offer. He’s certainly bred right in addition to his overall kind and weaned at 705.

Chris didn’t hold back at the breeding box or at the IVF lab when it came to mating STCC Tecumseh 058J as he threw nearly every cow of reputation his direction. This stud happens to be from a very excellent daughter of Profit from the FSC2 Bella donor dam that is referred to most often by her tattoo identification which would be “54Z2”. He is definitely one that must be added to the shortlist for quality and balance!

One of the sharpest decisions that Chris made at breeding time when Basin Payweight 1682 was in his prime, was to breed every daughter sired by MR HOC Broker from the 3C Melody M668 BZ donor that way. The end result has been more than rewarding as the hardy, big-centered, solid black brood cows carrying that lineage bring some of the better stock consistently to the weaning pen that tends to be toward the top of the sale offering as well. This individual records a weaning ratio of 107.

Truly one of the better-built, better-looking sons of STCC Tecumseh 058J in the offering. That would be a very bold statement with the quality in this set of cattle. 3051L should impress many with his shape and presence, but please take note that he is one of the heavier, bigger ratioing studs within his contemporary group as well as he measured 707 pounds to ratio 105 at weaning. Moderate at birth but explosive to weaning, just how you want to buy them.

What an intriguing genetic combination that mashed the scale down at weaning to record 762 pounds and ratio at 107. That’s the performance and industry merit expected from the STCC Tecumseh 058J sire group! A sharp featured snip nosed herd sire prospect that should be on everyone’s short list come sale day!

For those who like to show or for those looking for a sire bred and built to sire the kind with added value from a phenotype perspective, this is a legit candidate for a turn-out bull that can sire the kind. He is by the $530,000 SO Remedy 7F and from the dam of champions Bailey’s Ms Dreamy 946W. You can shop around a lot of other places looking for a stud with this resume, but a serious note needs to be taken to begin that search with 345L. His 800-pound weaning weight is the added bonus. Pay attention!

A SimGenetic breeding bull that is very square, stout, and built like your wildest visions of the absolute “best of the best”. He’ll put the length of side and ideal hind leg underneath them. The maternal side of his gene pool is saturated with productive dams that are very wet in production and breed back rapidly. The feeder cattle will be good and the heifers retained, even better. The lone son of the $400,000 Profit stud that surfaces on many of the maternal side pedigrees throughout the offering. Countless high sellers, both male and female, have been sired by Profit over the years. Profit has helped to build the foundation of the cowherd at both CK Cattle and Wager Cattle over the years. Holt Night Vision 457H was brought to the program as a heifer bull and he has fulfilled that task twofold in his tenure within the barbed wire in Highmore. The cattle are very well-built and come with little to no assistance. To have one with the mass and power of 61L is unexpected but dang sure not disappointing. This stud pounded the scales at weaning to be the number one of his contemporary group at 852 pounds to ratio 111. His curve-bending weaning and yearling numbers are suitable for any program. Raised by a first calf heifer.

We certainly love the low birth weight, calving ease credentials that come with this son of Holt Night Vision 457H. His blend of calving merit and performance is not easily found as he entered the world at 79 pounds but ratioed 103 at weaning with top 25% WW and top 35% YW EPD values to his credit. Not only does this herd sire offer calving ease and growth but he also has the potential to add carcass value with Marb, REA, and CW values in the top third of the industry.

A definite heifer bull from one of the very productive cows from the Christiansen program that was discussed earlier in this sale book. He is bred to thrive in South Dakota ranch country with sensible calving expectations but also will improve cutability and product volume when hung on the rail. A calving ease specialist that is recommended for use on heifers.

Very stout, very dense animal that is the only one from the Musgrave Jumbo sire group. We believe in the future of what this Angus bull can do for not only Angus cattle but for other breed scenarios as well. This three-dimensional, scale pounder is built true to form with the powerful influence of CDI Trustee on the bottom side and the potent influence of the very productive GF/HS Miley X243 as his maternal grandmother. Power in the blood would be an understatement! This SimGenetic herd bull prospect ratioed 103 at weaning time with 738 pounds. His index values are in the top half of the breed with performance and conversion factors in the top 20%. He is very sensible at birth with spread expectations to follow. He will be very high on many lists on sale day without hesitation. You will be seeing a heavy influence of Musgrave Jumbo in the years to come! Raised by a first calf heifer.

A duo of full brothers sired by the proven, great Angus sire of the past decade, Musgrave 316 Stunner. The Musgrave 316 Stunner cattle have claimed many top spots throughout the nation in sale reports and the influence does complement the Simmentals, especially on the good stock like this one’s dam. These SimAngus bulls are from a direct daughter of Profit from the Bailey’s Ms Dreamy 946W donor dam. Bailey’s Dream Girl is a past sale feature of the Hartman Cattle Company Customer Appreciation Sale that works as a donor for CK Cattle and Freking Cattle. What an impressive specimen! The popularity of the Deer Valley Growth Fund sire group is no industry secret. The cattle are known to be rugged and bold in terms of raw growth and performance with product and maternal drivers aboard. TJ High Calibre 556B is certainly no slouch on the Simmental side as his daughters continue to raise the bar for udder quality and maternal instinct with profit drivers for performance and carcass as well. This quarter blood herd sire prospect comes with a 108 weaning ratio and posts top 1% YW and ADG, top 2% WW, top 4% MWW, top 3% CW, and top 25% for TI and Milk as well. He will offer well-rounded options suitable for scale pounding, premium-bound feeder cattle, and females suitable for retention. Raised by a first calf heifer.

We think this is a fantastic female to start the ES Right Time FA110-4 sire group in this high quality set of bred females. 2837K is another member of the famed J6RA Bada Bing 1602B cow family. The dam of 2837K is a daughter of the great 1602B that is sired by MR CCF 20-20. She is a big ribbed, high capacity female that will certainly add quality and consistency to any breeding program. We love the balance and symmetry that this female offers from the side, yet still offers more than enough shape and power from behind. A true brood cow prospect that offers the “bells and whistles” needed to be a foundation female for any program!

This direct daughter of KCC1 Countertime 872H is a maternal sister to OMF Epic E27 and a full sister to the featured herd sire prospect at Oak Meadow Farms for this year, OMF Ludacris L17. This mating is no doubt proven and will be met with industry acceptance with a story that’s fact and will only continue to get better in the years to come. OMF Time Less B100 is a very functional, deep, square, sound donor female that just doesn’t miss. A pair of full sisters to this female were members of the 2023 NWSS Grand Champion Pen of Three Purebred Simmental Heifers. 2638K is a trait leader for calving ease with the same numeric presence for marbling. The A.I. service to Bridle Bit Recharge K256 could generate the next great calving ease and carcass sire for the business as well! The influence of MR TR Hammer 308A ET is very proven and consistent. Several cattlemen wanted to be critical of the sire group early, but his name is up close and personal in many donor dams and herd bulls of influence, it’s tough to deny his ability to improve the stock. If you desire one that carries the strength of maternal lineage, make sure this one is on your list with the female power that she has to her credit genetically!

For serious Hereford connoisseurs only! Horned or polled, regardless, those who have an interest will have two awesome options to select from. What a mating that generated two females that are loaded with power, substance, depth, and serious beef business shape. They are equally big at the surface with all the bone they can use and genuine skeletal width and integrity like no other. What an impressive sister duo with the genetics to support the claim for greatness. They are sired by the Barber Ranch stud for maternal improvement, BR Nitro Aventus 3116 ET, and out of Kolt TR Stylin Kat 940. The dam of 940, CHEZ Strawberry Wine ET 204Z would be one of the more dominating females of her time as she claimed the titles of Supreme Champion Overall at the Illinois State Fair, Reserve Grand Champion Polled Hereford Heifer at the Junior National Hereford Expo, and Reserve Champion Female at the coveted National Western Stock Show. This cow family is second to none when it comes to generating quality with substance and power. Tie into the future of your seedstock operation with one or both.
