The standard tandem chassis of the Fendt Tigo PR enables optimum ground following, distributing heavy loads evenly, whilst high spring travel provides a comfortable driving experience.
The Tigo has excellent lateral stability because of its wide parabolic springs, and few moving parts mean minimal maintenance effort. An automatic levelling box, courtesy of Fendt Stability Control (FSC), ensures the vehicle is always level, even on difficult terrain or steep slopes, ensuring ultimate safety in both fields and on roads.
The Tigo has a 60 km/h speed limit, which allows the user to work at pace. The chassis suspension frame boasts an integrated, maintenance free, high-performance gearbox, which is extremely smooth due to an enclosed, permanent oil bath in which it runs. This makes it a more comfortable working environment for the operator and makes the chance of contaminated feed due to dripping chain lubricants impossible.

The VarioFill automatic loading and unloading system ensures the best use of every cubic metre of the Tigo.
With an 80° pivoting multi-functional bulkhead, the Fendt Tigo is exceptional when it comes to loading. Shorter, by at least 1 metre, than other loading wagons of its class, the machine is compact and manoeuvrable. The Fendt PR50 Tigo has a high loading volume of 31m³, and a permissible overall weight of 20,000kg–22,000kg. The vehicle is short, yet space above the loading unit increases the machine’s volume by 6m³. The VarioFill automatic loading and unloading system ensures the best use of every cubic metre of the Tigo. Additionally, thanks to VarioFill, manual removal of feed residue at the end of the day is not required.
The quality of cut the Tigo gives is all down to its small cutting gap, of just 3.5mm, and the 25mm wide rotor tines with Hardox surfaces. Grass is fed precisely through the narrow cutting gap, and with no way out, it is transported through the table, while seven spiral rows of tines ensure an efficient and precise cut. The feed channel is over 1m², which allows the feed to be carefully carried into the loading space, even when under difficult operating conditions. Therefore, a high quality, precise cut is achieved, without crushing the pre-compacted feed.
The machine utilises seven rows of tines, with a width of 1.90m for clean raking results. The smaller diameter of the pickup provides the tines with a high speed. The pickup is situated close to the machine’s rotor, enabling a clean, fluid crop, even with short, dry grass. A hydraulic, extra-wide pickup with a working width of 2 metres is an additional feature that can be added to the PR. A successful harvest all comes down to the best possible pick-up. To help with this, the Fendt Tigo features plastic strips between the pick-up tines. The individual wrappers are less prone to contamination, but also reduce friction.
The PR50's combination of 40 knives, 3.5mm gaps between knives, and a pulling cut, guarantee a cleancut forage bundle. This is extremely important, as the better the quality of cut, the better the compression, fermentation and forage digestion. The knives are elongated and made from hardened steel with a serrated edge, which cuts along the entire length, to produce the highest quality silage. The number of knives can be halved easily, as well as the cutting length which can be changed from 37mm to 74mm. Each knife is protected with a separate single knife guard which have a unique impact guard system. A spring-based trigger system also ensures the protection of the rotor and guarantees constant functionality.

A consistent, constant feed opening, and full crop flow are made possible through drawbar position control, which enables accurate loading position control. The drawbar is adjusted as a result of a sensor which measures the pickup movement of the vehicle.
The sensor also prevents the pickup from piercing through to the ground, by maintaining an appropriate ground clearance. This feature is intermittent, and only provides support when necessary. Additionally, adjustable, castor-steered gauge wheels support the pickup and protect the sward, even when making tight, difficult turns in the field.
The Tigo allows the user to switch easily from a loading wagon to a transport wagon without any major adjustments. The wagon was designed without a tubular frame or tensioning rope, which makes the machine perfect for filling with the chopper from above or from the front.
