Tutto questo non sarebbe possibile senza il supporto tecnico di un qualificato Team di esperti, che padroneggia la materia fino alla più fine sfumatura, ma anche in assenza di una precisa missione aziendale.

La crescita culturale degli appassionati fornisce loro la preparazione necessaria per scegliere, per distinguere le attrezzature dotate di un’anima da quelle che offrono solo un prezzo accattivante o un vestito di lusso. All this would not be possible without the support of a qualified team of experts, which has mastered the matter to the finer details, but even in the absence of a precise mission.

Tecnologia X-Joint / X-Joint Technology I giunti che collegano le sezioni di qualsiasi canna da pesca sono punti deboli, sia dal punto di vista della resistenza, sia da quello dell’azione, perché causano i cosiddetti “punti morti”, che sono zone a rischio di rottura, al di là dell’inestetismo. La soluzione sta nella tecnologia X-JOINT, che prevede la disposizione delle fibre di carbonio a 45° anziché a 90° in corrispondenza dei giunti.

Negli innesti X-Joint by Trabucco, i tessuti di carbonio sono avvolti in modo bi-direzionale, e ciò è visibile sulla sommità di ciascuna sezione.

It’s well known that all joints connecting rod’s sections are weak points, both from strength and action’s point of view, as they cause those “dead spots” which are risky in term of breakage, beyond the bad looking. The solution is hidden in the X-JOINT technology, which means that - on joints area - carbon cloths are laid by 45° angle instead of 90°. Within X-Joint by Trabucco, the carbon cloth is wound by two directions, and such construction is visible on top end of each section.

Thanks to its special design, the worm shaft is responsible of perfect line lay on reel’s spool. As a consequence, the casting distance is improved, due to easier line flow.

On left, the standard ball bearings are open to get salt within balls. On right, the shielded version from Trabucco Lancer LTX series is safe from aggressive agents.

Un piccolo foro nella gola della bobina consente di fissare la prima spira di lenza senza ricorrere ad un nodo, che, tenuto conto della ridotta profondità della bobina, avrebbe un eccessivo ingombro e potrebbe influenzare negativamente le distanze di lancio ottenibili.

A tiny hole, located in the spool’s core just above the line clip, allows to fix the first line’s coil without using the traditional knot, which, considering the limited depth of the spool, would be too much obtrusive and could negatively affect the achievable casting distances.

Questo trave, che ospita tre braccioli di circa 40 cm ciascuno, consente di avere una grande serie di vantaggi:

This rig, which carries three equal arms 40 cm long, provides a long list of advantages:

• Esca raccolta in uno spazio ridotto, con conseguente maggior potere attrattivo a livello olfattivo.

• Braccioli corti, che riducono lo sventolio durante il volo, e che pertanto consentono di ottenere distanze maggiori, a parità di lancio.

• Ridotta possibilità di ingarbuglio.

• Maggiore possibilità di catture multiple.

• Hookbaits are concentrated in a limited space, with consequent higher attraction based on smell.

• The relatively short arms get less trouble during their flight, thus obtaining longer casting distances.

Realizzazione Trave / How to tie the Rig Per agganciare il piombo al trave potrete usare una Prosurf Ss Powerclip, la Small per i diametri sino allo 0.30, la Large per i diametri superiori.

Salendo di circa 10 centimetri possiamo fare il primo snodo: il classico perlina+girella+perlina, sfruttando le ridottissime dimensioni delle Mini Rolling Round con la misura numero 20. Per le perline potrete scegliere tra le Prosurf Glass Beads Transparent, calibrate per i diametri 0.40, 0.50 e 0.60.

La stessa operazione la ripetiamo altre due volte, spostandoci di circa 50 centimetri ogni volta, in modo da ottenere la configurazione da tre ami.

Per completare il trave possiamo dotarlo di comoda girella dimensionata al diametro del trave Rolling Round X-Pattern. In questo caso coprire il nodo sulla girella non ha alcun senso perché il bracciolo alto non ci arriva.

To link lead to the rig a Prosurf Ss Powerclip can be used, the Small one for diameters up to 0.30, the Large one for larger diameters.

Going up by 10 cm the first arm can be placed by the classic bead+swivel+bead combination. Size 20 Mini Rolling Round Swivel is perfect for the job, with Prosurf Glass Beads Transparent, calibrated for diameters 0.40, 0.50 and 0.60.

Same operation will be done two more times, stepping up the line about 45 cm, until all three arms will be set up.

On top of the rig a Rolling Round X-Pattern swivel can be worth to attach main line and safely download any torsion.

Realizzazione Trave / How to tie the Rig Il nostro 3x75 lo prepareremo per una pesca intermedia, ovvero con un filo del diametro 0,40.

Descriviamolo partendo dal basso, ovvero dal piombo:

Per agganciare il piombo al trave usiamo Rolling Hooked Snap, ricoperto da Pro Surf Knot Cone taglia small.

Salendo di 6-8 cm costruiamo lo snodo con una Fast Link Swivel della misura proporzionata al diametro del trave e le perline Pro Surf Beads.

Ripetere operazione per altre due volte, spostandoci di circa 80 cm.

Completare il trave con una semplice asola.

The 3x75 rig can be tried for an intermediate approach, so we will build it up with 0,40 mm line. Here we describe it starting from the bottom:

To attach the lead to the rig we suggest a Rolling Hooked Snap, covered by a Pro Surf Knot Cone (size Small).

Going up by 6-8 cm the arm can be linked by a Fast Link Swivel (whose size must be chosen in accordance to rig’s diameter) stopped by two knots and beads.

Stepping up twice by 80 cm, the next two arms are fixed in the same way.

A simple loop can complete the rig’s top end.

Braccioli / Hooklinks Il diametro del bracciolo è dettato dalle condizioni del mare. Un mare molto mosso richiederà un diametro almeno dello 0,28 mm. L’importante è ricordare la regola fondamentale che vale in tutti i mari: se si recupera un bracciolo ingarbugliato bisogna aumentare il diametro del bracciolo oppure ridurne la sua lunghezza. I monofili da utilizzare con mare piatto e pesca notturna sono i medesimi della pagina 30.

Ultra Strong FC 403

Fluorocarbon 100% di altissimo livello tecnologico, strutturato su tre livelli, con elevata morbidezza e sensitività. Si caratterizza per la totale invisibilità al pesce, grazie all’indice di rifrazione della luce, il cui valore è molto vicino a quello dell’acqua, per la resistenza all’abrasione, e l’impermeabilità. Ha una tenuta al nodo del 40% superiore a quella dei migliori fluorocarbon.

SURF RIG ALLROUND Questo trave è lungo circa 250 cm e ospita tre braccioli di circa 110 cm ciascuno; in condizioni di mare piatto è senza dubbio la montatura più efficace. La lunghezza dei braccioli, che garantisce mobilità sia in superficie che sul fondo, la rende una soluzione tra le più utilizzate.

Vediamo le sue applicazioni prima di andare a costruirlo:

This rig is 250 cm long and carries three equal arms 110 cm long. When the sea is flat calm, it’s really the most effective. Key specification is the length of the arms, which provide mobility both on top water and on the bottom. Such behaviour is the main reason of its popularity.

Before describing how to build it up, let’s see the most common applications:

• Consente soluzioni di pesca miste, potendolo utilizzare con due ami a fondo e uno a galla, o viceversa.

• Per la pesca a galla è la soluzione più efficace in assoluto; purché si tratti di pesca in spiagge profonde.

• It enables to face conditions of mixed fishing, as two hooks can work on the bottom, and one on top, or vice-versa.

Realizzazione Trave / How to tie the Rig Per questa montatura useremo un filo di Ø 0,45 mm.

Agganciare il piombo con una Prosurf Ss Fast Clip Swivel.

Salendo di 10 cm inserire il primo snodo perlina+girella+perlina, chiuso da un nodo a 8.

Ripetere l’operazione per altre due volte, spostandoci di circa 120 cm, in modo da ottenere la configurazione da tre ami.

Il bracciolo alto è molto vicino alla girella che collega il trave allo shock leader, che in questo caso sarà una Rolling Round X-Pattern.

This rig can be built up with 0,45 mm line.

Attach the lead to the rig by a Prosurf Ss Fast Clip Swivel.

Going up by 10 cm the first hooklink can be fixed by the usual bead+swivel+bead combination, locked in place by two 8-knots.

Stepping up twice by 120 cm, the next two arms are fixed in the same way obtaining a three-hook configuration.

The top arm is very close to the upper swivel, which must be a Rolling Round X-Pattern type.

Realizzazione Trave / How to tie the Rig

Braccioli / Hooklink

Partendo dal basso abbiamo il piombo, che sarà di grammature pesanti; stiamo parlando di almeno 150 grammi, sino a 180/200 grammi. L’intento della lunghissima distanza può sopraggiungere, ad esempio, anche quando abbiamo un forte vento frontale.

Agganciare il piombo al Rolling Hooked Snap, di misura robusta.

Pochi centimetri più su monteremo un Wire Bait Clip Reversed, sul quale poggerà l’amo innescato una volta che avremo il trave pronto per essere lanciato. Il bait clip può essere spostato a piacimento grazie alla guainetta che scorre lungo il trave, in modo da poter mettere perfettamente in tensione il bracciolo prima del lancio.

Formare lo snodo classico perlina+girella+perlina, al quale sarà poi attaccato il bracciolo con l’amo. Anche in questo caso avanzano altri 50 cm di trave. Soluzione che impedisce al bracciolo alto di ingarbugliarsi con l’attacco dello shock leader.

Per questa soluzione sono consigliati braccioli non eccessivamente sottili. Partiremo da un morbido 0,22 mm XPS Power Plus.

In caso di pesca diurna potremo utilizzare il Fluorocarbon Salt Water oppure il Ultra Strong FC 403 Saltwater.

Starting from the bottom, we have the lead, which of course should be heavy, meaning from 150 to 180-200 grams. The long distance conditions also replicate when the wind blows in front of us.

Connect the lead to the Rolling Hooked Snap, of good size.

Stepping up by a few centimetres, add a Wire Bait Clip Reversed, which will hang the baited hook just before casting. The bait clip can be moved up and down the line, thanks to the silicone tube, so that the hooklink can be correctly tensioned.

At 50 cm from lead, the first arm can be linked to main line by the usual bead+swivel+bead combination. The second hook is then linked 50 cm upwards, and another 50 cm remain free before the upper swivel, so that the 45 cm arm won’t tangle with it.

This rig works well with relatively thick hooklinks, for example a soft 0,22 mm XPS Power Plus. In case of daytime fishing Fluorocarbon Salt Water or Ultra Strong Fc 403 Saltwater come into play.

Realizzazione Trave / How to tie the Rig Partendo dalla parte inferiore avremo il piombo agganciato ad un Rolling Hooked Snap, scegliendo la misura adeguata in base al peso del piombo che intendiamo utilizzare.

Qualche centimetro più in alto (solitamente 6 o 7 cm) creeremo il primo snodo (1) composto da perlina+girella+perlina.

Circa 80 centimetri più in alto creeremo il secondo snodo (2), e ripeteremo la stessa operazione altre due volte (3 e 4).

Attaccato allo snodo 4 realizzeremo un’asola oppure una girella in modo da creare un aggancio con lo sgancio dello shock leader.

Starting from the bottom we will tie a Rolling Hooked Snap to connect the sinker, choosing the appropriate size according to the weight of the sinker we intend to use.

A few centimetres up (usually 6 or 7 cm) we tie the first link (1), consisting of bead+swivel+bead.

About 80 centimetres up we tie the second link (2) and repeat the same process two more times (3 and 4).

Next to the link 4 we will tie a loop or a swivel to connect the shock leader link.

In order to keep the hookbait well above the bottom, it can be worth to add a segment of Surf Pop Up Stick or some other floating elements on the hooklink, just above the hook.

• Configurazione: i braccioli occuperanno gli snodi 2-3 per avere una maggior gittata in termini di metri.

• Quando si usa? Quando il mare è molto mosso, ottima soluzione anti-groviglio, oppure quando serve lanciare le esche a distanze importanti.

• Configurazione: i braccioli andranno montati sugli snodi 1-2-4 in modo da effettuare una pescata mista fondo/galla.

• Quando si usa? In fase di ricerca del pesce è fondamentale avere una azione “mista” delle nostre esche. I braccioli in posizione 1 e 2 da 70/75 cm ciascuno lavoreranno a fondo, mentre il bracciolo in posizione 4 da circa 140/150 cm sarà dotato di Surf Pop-Up Stick e cercherà prede di superficie.

Setup 3 • Use only two hooklinks placed in the 2-3 links, to increase casting distance.

• When to use it? It is an excellent anti-tangle solution in rough conditions or when you need to cast long distances.

Setup 4 • Hooklinks are placed in the 1-2-4 links, to allow different bait presentations, from bottom to up in the water.

• When to use it? In the early stages, when it’s necessary to vary the bait presentation and target different species. Hooklinks of 70/75 cm are placed in the 1-2 links, working on or near the bottom, while the third hooklink is placed in the 4 link, length approx. 140/150 cm and fitted with a Surf Pop-Up Stick to search the upper water levels.
