The UK’s largest cultural fundraiser for Palestine took place at London’s Troxy on Saturday 19 July. This extraordinary evening of music, comedy, and spoken word - the biggest of its kind - was presented by Health Workers 4 Palestine in collaboration with creatives, artists, and allies to Gaza.
tpr media worked on Voices of Solidarity from May 2025 to August 2025, carrying out a high-visibility campaign across TV and radio, broadsheets and social media platforms. The sum of opportunities to see (OTS) was 15.6M and advertising value equivalent (AVE) was £217k (these figures only account for print and online press and don't include TV and radio). On the evening over 20 journalists attended to cover the event and interview performers. These included Middle East Eye , TRT World, The New Arab, The independent, LBC and Muslim Girl.

Juliet Stevenson | The Guardian Actress Juliet Stevenson discusses the importance of campaigning for HW4P. She appears alongside her husband, Hugh Brody, whose mother fled Nazi Vienna in the 1930s. - 12.07.25 - Piece placed by Emma Holland PR
Read any celebrity-signed open letter advocating for social justice over the past few years and you’ll probably spot Juliet Stevenson’s name. When the veteran actor is not gracing screens or on a stage somewhere, she’s out on the streets brandishing a placard or giving speeches about human rights, gender equality and the Palestinian right to selfdetermination.
Just last month, she wrote in the Guardian about the British government’s “complicity” in the Gaza atrocities and what she called an attempt to repress civil liberties by proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist group
Critics may – and they do – disparage Stevenson as a “luvvie” engaging in typical performative liberal politics, but spend just a few minutes with the actor and her husband – the anthropologist, film-maker and writer Hugh Brody – and you quickly discover that the roots of their activism run far deeper than that.

‘Is it making a difference? Absolutely’: UK celebrities rally for Gaza | Israel-Palestine conflict News | Al Jazeera Artists are using their platforms to raise awareness for Palestine while many UK politicians remain silent and complicit about Israel’s war on Gaza.
London, United Kingdom – Khalid Abdalla remembers sitting on his father’s shoulders as a three-year-old, peering over a sea of heads and waving flags as chants of “free Palestine” rose around him.
It was the early 1980s, a time when hearing “Palestine” was rare in the United Kingdom.
The details of those moments in Glasgow are faint, but he remembers how important the protest felt to his father and the crowds around them.
“I’ve had a relationship with protest for Palestinian liberation since then,” Abdalla told Al Jazeera.
Decades later, the Egyptian British actor –most known for his roles in The Kite Runner and The Crown – is still marching. But now he carries the weight of his public platform. “After October 7, my first act was at The Crown premiere in LA, with ‘Ceasefire Now’ written on my hand,” he said.
Sayle and Abdalla are preparing for another weekend of protest mixed with art. They will be among 20 artists, comedians, musicians and humanitarians at Voices of Solidarity, a one-night-only fundraiser for Palestine, on July 19 in London.
The singer Paloma Faith, doctor Ghassan Abu Sittah, actor Juliet Stevenson and comedians Sami Abu Wardeh and Tadhg Hickey are also on the lineup.
