General Information The Family Guide is your family’s source for The Peninsula Club’s youth and family programs. This booklet contains information for you to plan your family and children’s events for the year. You will find information about our Junior Golf and Racquet Programs, our Swim Team, pool parties and Summer Camps for your children. The schedule of events outlines some, but not all, events planned for your family this year.

The Scout Team
The Scout Team is our developmental, recreational golf program for juniors learning the fundamentals and gaining oncourse experience. Players are placed on teams of 6–7 with a dedicated coach and a weekly 90-minute practice session. This 7week, in-house program emphasizes a team-based experience and includes 2–3 practice matches played in a 3–6 hole scramble format on select spring Saturdays on the back nine.
The Traveling Team

The Traveling Team is our competitive, all-star level junior program. Similar to the LKN Jr. League, players are placed on Peninsula Club teams of 6–7 and compete against area clubs in 9-hole matches using scramble or stroke-play formats, as determined by the host club. Match dates and locations are still being finalized. Strong team performance may lead to qualification for PGA Jr. League All-Stars in July at Rolling Hills, with the potential to advance to Pinehurst in August.

These fun-filled camps are designed to develop golf skills in very young children with an emphasis on safety, fun and creative learning.

These total game schools will include all aspects of the game including full swing, short game (chipping, pitching, sand and putting), course management and mental preparation to achieve their absolute best. Each day will feature lunch and 2 hours of on-course time that will commence in a 9-hole Championship on Friday. Practice materials will be given as gifts to help these players improve how they practice and play.

Junior Tennis Panthers Program
The Junior Program at The Peninsula Club is designed to help each child discover a development pathway aligning with their goals as an aspiring tennis player. Using a fun, games-based approach, our program adds excitement while guiding players through each stage of growth. For those seeking a more challenging experience, the Panther Elite pathway offers advanced instruction with a deeper focus on skill development. Junior Panthers may also take the Panther Evaluation, providing the opportunity to move into higher-level (elite) classes.

Junior Tennis 🏆 USTA Junior Team Tennis
Open to Children of Golf, Sport and Tennis Members Only
Students who participate in our clinics will have the opportunity to play Junior Team Tennis. The focus of JTT is on enjoying the game, as well as refining the skills that make tennis fun for players of all ages and levels of competition! This is a great opportunity to learn to play as a team, practice good sportsmanship, and learn valuable lessons that apply both on and off the court.
The Peninsula Club's USTA Junior Tennis Team (JTT) competes against other local clubs in Lake Norman. Our teams have consistently excelled, frequently winning the local league and advancing to the State Championships. and fall, with State Championships held Season(s): Spring in the summer.

Our fast-paced, game-based approach keeps kids engaged and excited as they develop skills through progressive drills and fun, age-appropriate games tailored to every level of play. Led by our energetic team of professional instructors, campers will enjoy high-quality coaching, boundless energy, and a supportive environment where they can grow and reach their full potential.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation is required at least 2 weeks in advance from the start of your camp week to avoid a charge to your membership. Cancellation received after the two-week window will result in a charge to your account.
