Hey Key Clubbies,

It is bittersweet that my time in Key Club has finally come to an end but I want to thank you all (our lovely members) for making this service year possible! No amount of words can describe my experience in Key Club for the past four years because it was truly the best part of my high school career. From being a regular member and attending random events as a freshmen, to curating these exact newsletters as the Bulletin Editor sophomore year, and finally… becoming the President of the biggest club at Townsend Harris. Wow. It has been an absolute fever dream but also my best pleasure to serve you all.

Without all of you guys, Key Club would not exist. I think you all deserve the most recognition and applause for your undying dedication and passion to serve our community. Coming into Townsend Harris, Key Club played a huge role in building some of the best friendships and memories I hold dear to me. As I always recite at our Open House and the Club Fair, it’s the people and service that brings Key Club together. Everyone shares the same goal to better our world little by little through every service project we partake in and that is INCREDIBLE.

President's Farewell

6
FAREWELLS

I will not lie, this past service year did not come easy as President… countless hours were put into curating our weekly meeting slides, researching volunteer projects, painting fundraising posters, hosting late night cabinet meetings, and making sure the club stayed functioning… but all of it was so so worth it in the end. I would like to shoutout my 2022-2023 Executive Board for being some of the most supportive and helpful people. None of our behind the scenes work would have been possible without them!

As a service year recap, our club raised over $6000 and accumulated around 12,000 hours! That is literally INSANE! Keep up the good work and never stop serving because every kind act (no matter how big or small) truly makes a difference. I don’t know what I am going to do without Key Club but I am going to miss it so so so much. You guys are seriously the best crowd of people I’ve ever met :) And with that: stay dedicated, stay passionate, and stay happy my friends <3

hi guys :)

i just wanted to keep this farewell short and sweet, so as to not make it too sappy or overbearing!

having been in this club since freshman year, i’ve watched it grow an unfathomable amount—both externally in number, moving from rooms 642/643 to the auditorium in order to accommodate our membership, and also internally in its spirited, enthusiastic community of volunteers :)

with that being said, i’m super proud and excited to see where you guys are headed in the future! this club is definitely one that i don’t regret joining, and so i implore you guys to continue your membership in key club, not just for the hours, but for all of the unique experiences and memories and friendships that you’ll undoubtedly make :)

okay that’s it for now…!!! don’t hesitate to reach out to me even in the future, whether it be about school, or college apps, or just life in general! my dms are always open for you lovely keyuties

Treasurer's Farewell

10

Hi Key Clubbers! I was so honored to serve as your treasurer for the past two service years. Your dedication, commitment, and altruism inspired me to work harder and I truly believe we made a difference. Throughout these past two years I learned what it meant to be a productive member of society by having all of you set the example of what exemplary community members should look like. Thank you so much for allowing me to be your treasurer, attending events, and for paying your key club dues (sometimes late but that’s okay). Congratulations to Karen, Melinda, Ashley, Rachel, Cris, Hasana, and Jialin who will absolutely kill it next year! Good job everyone and I’m excited to see what the next service year holds for all of you :)

Hey, Key Clubbers! My name is Karen, I’m a current junior, and many of you may know as the previous Webmaster. During my term, I’ve really enjoyed all the new friendships and interesting interactions I’ve had with you all, whether it was on the 7 train, over Instagram, or while I was sticking a camera up your face. Now that I’ve passed on the camera, I am beyond excited to be your Key Club President for the 2023-2024 service year, and I hope to successfully fill the big shoes Erica Jin left me with. I aim to become more familiar with you all at events, and to make Key Club more than just a community service club by making the club YOUR community. With that being said, cheers to a new service year!

Yours in Service, '23-'24 President
