LOCATIONS:

The Brent House Hotel is situated exactly between the New Orleans International Airport and Downtown New Orleans. It’s only a 15-minute ride to or from the airport, the Louisiana Superdome, the French Quarter and other attractions of the metropolitan area.

SHOPPING:

Lakeside Mall is only 2.5 miles from the Brent House Hotel.

ATTRACTIONS:

The New Orleans area boasts a wide selection of activities, from golfing to swamp tour excursions.

Ask at the Front Desk for information on nearby golf courses, tennis courts and exciting attractions, such as the Audubon Zoo, Aquarium of the Americas or the nearby New Orleans Museum of Art, located in City Park.

MANAGEMENT:

Your comfort and satisfaction are of great importance to us. If you require assistance in any way, please notify management directly or any staff member. We also value your responses on the comment card provided, both for acknowledgment of doing a good job and for ways we can improve.

FIRE:

Please familiarize yourself with the location of the nearest fire exit stairway. In the event of a fire, move quickly but calmly to the stairs. Avoid the use of elevators. Please report fire or smoke to the hotel operator.

SMOKING:

All rooms are non-smoking and tobacco-free. Communicating the dangers of tobacco has been a mission of Ochsner for more than 50 years. It began with the dedicated efforts of the late Dr. Alton Ochsner, one of the first doctors to show a direct link between smoking and lung cancer.

A tobacco-free policy is vital to its success. A $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged to your hotel bill if you smoke in your room.

HOTEL FIRE SAFETY Like all buildings, hotels can have fires. Plan what to do when you check in.

You won’t have time to plan during a fire.

First, find two exits nearest your room. Be sure they are unlocked and unblocked.

Then, count doors between your room and exits so you’ll have a reference point if smoke obscures your vision.

When you hear an alarm, act! Don’t investigate.

If there is fire in your room, get out and close the door. Once out, report the fire.

If fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First, feel your door. If it’s cool, open it slowly and go to the nearest exit. Crawl in smoke. Fresh air will be at the floor. Take your key so you can go back if you can’t use the exits.

Never use elevators during a fire. They could stop at a floor where there is fire.

If your room door is hot, don’t open it. Your room may be the safest place to be. Seal all cracks with a wet towel.
