Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge

Beaver Dam is neighbor to the Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. Over 10,000 years ago, glaciers carved out the basin that became Horicon Marsh. Through the years, this important wetland suffered a destructive history, but was protected and restored by a group of dedicated conservationists. Today, thousands of birds and people flock to Horicon Marsh, captivated by the sights and sounds of wildlife in action.
