Letter from the Director Greetings! I hope you had an amazing summer, and you were able to get outside and enjoy all of what our parks and the Timnath Reservoir have to offer. It has been a great summer with record numbers in our youth programming, our parks crews attention to detail keeping our parks safe and clean, and amazing attendance at our summer events!

Seeing our residents enjoy these amenities and events is why I got into parks and recreation!

Please know that we are always working on ways to improve and expand our programs and amenities. Staff has been hard at work lining up an architect and design firm as well as a general contractor to design and build our recreation center. We are close to finishing the schematic design and we will be sure to share with you our progress as we move forward. We are shooting to open in the first half of 2029, and it can’t get here fast enough!

In addition to the recreation center, I hope you noticed the safety improvements that were made at the entrance to Timnath Community Park. We have also been planning for a new section of trail out at Timnath Reservoir and master planning a park adjacent to Bethke Elementary!

As always, our program staff has been hard at work and we will be offering arts and crafts, soccer and flag football as usual, but you should also check out our new programs. Looking through the pages of this guide and seeing new programs like Preschool Prom and Pet Palooza shows our commitment to expanding and diversifying programs for all the residents of Timnath.

We have been busy, but with an amazing community like Timnath, it is worth it! The Timnath Parks and Recreation Department will continue to work hard for our community!

Rent Town Facilities for Your Events Town parks and facilities are owned by you, the residents! We believe it’s important to make them accessible to all our residents for private events and gatherings. In order to reserve town facilities, you will need to create a RecDesk account. Once a RecDesk account is created, you will find that reserving town facilities is easy and convenient.

COMMUNITY ROOM RENTAL 4750 Signal Tree Drive Our Town Center building is a place for the community to come together for meetings, gatherings, and events.

Our space includes a galley-style kitchen and catering area, and can accommodate service organization meetings, family reunions, birthday parties, and receptions for up to 50 people. After-hours reservations need to be submitted seven days in advance. Please note that set up, clean up, and restoration of the room are the renter’s responsibility and someone from the party must be onsite for the entire scheduled time.

PARK PAVILION RENTALS Our pavilions are the perfect spot for family gatherings, picnics, or small outdoor events. Each pavilion includes picnic tables and convenient onsite restrooms to make your visit more comfortable. Whether you’re planning a casual afternoon in the park or hosting a special get-together, our pavilions provide a welcoming space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Dancing, snacks, and crafts? Welcome to Preschool Prom!

Pose for pictures, make crafts, and of course dance. Children will enjoy a “limo” ride and delicious snacks. Be sure to dress up in your best “prom” attire — grown-ups too! This program is an open-house style. Come anytime between 10 and 11:30 a.m. but allow about 45 minutes to enjoy all our prom festivities.

Grab your favorite toy car, truck, or vehicle (5” or smaller in length) and cruise into an exciting adventure through Timnath Tape Town! Follow the winding masking-tape “streets” as you explore fun community stops like the post office, car wash, Timnath Community Park, and even the reservoir. Kids can zoom, race, and imagine their way through this hands-on mini town experience! Don’t have a vehicle? No problem, extra cars will be available at the Tiny Tires Car Rental so everyone can join the fun.

SPECIAL INTEREST S A F E R O U T E S TO S C H O O L P R O G R A M The Safe Routes to School is a bicycle education program for elementary students and includes two key components: an indoor session focused on pedestrian and cycling safety, followed by an outdoor session that teaches practical riding skills and bicycle infrastructure awareness. Students learn how to navigate pedestrian crossings, railroad crossings, and interpret yield and stop signs. This program will be implemented annually at both Bethke Elementary and Timnath Elementary.

Timnath Reservoir

ANNUAL MOTORIZED BOAT PERMIT Motorized boat passes are for residents only. Limit of one motorized boat pass per household.

Timnath Reservoir is one of the community’s most unique outdoor spaces, offering nearly 600 acres of water and a six-mile shoreline with beautiful Rocky Mountain views. The property is owned by the New Cache La Poudre Reservoir Company and leased by the Town of Timnath for recreational purposes.

ANNUAL SHORE PERMIT

With the proper permit, residents, future residents, Colorado anglers, and their guests can enjoy a variety of activities including boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming (when permitted).

SENIOR ANNUAL SHORE PERMIT

The Timnath Reservoir is for resident use only with the exception of Growth Management Area residents and individuals with valid Colorado fishing licenses.
