The Wilson Duo Jenny and Nathan Wilson, The Wilson Jazz Duo are a husband-and-wife team playing piano and acoustic bass. They have a wide and varied repertoire, ranging from Leonard Bernstein to Prince. Jenny is a composer and has an impressive catalogue of recorded original music and arrangements. Jenny's voice is sweet and sultry and the trio brings an intensity to the music that is palpable to the audience. Performances at jazz clubs, restaurants, festivals, church services and everywhere else you can imagine for two decades has given The Wilson Jazz Duo a patina that shines especially in live performance. Jenny is a graduate of the Jazz Pedagogy Masters degree program at WVU and now lives in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband and two cats. Artist Jenny Willson

Jenny Wilson was born in New York, New York in 1958. She studied art at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan and was a freelance graphic designer and commercial artist for several years. She changed course and earned her Master of Music Degree at West Virginia University and is a full- time jazz and classical performing musician. Her group the Jenny Wilson Trio can be heard in many varied venues in the Mid-Atlantic region. Encouraged by Robby Moore, currently Director of the Beckley Arts Center she was juried into Tamarack Center for the Arts and has been painting along with her flourishing music career ever since. Jenny was the art teacher at the Community School in Camden, Maine and more recently at the Morgantown Learning Academy in West Virginia. Jenny has developed creative arts programs for the city parks in Morgantown, West Virginia. Jenny Wilson has received awards in national and regional juried shows and has paintings in corporate headquarters as well as many private collections. Jenny has studios in Chevy Chase, MD and in Morgantown, WV. Recent invitations to exhibit as a solo artist have been from Artist and Makers Studio in Rockville, MD, DISTRICT Arts in Frederick, MD, the Allegheny Arts Council in Cumberland, MD and Art Works in Richmond, VA.

Our Story begins simply as a couple who has loved wine for decades. We have and continue to enjoy wine with our meals, on picnics, and even just savoring it with family and friends. That was the initial motivation to learn how to craft it. We were encouraged with some early wine making success, and it pushed us to become more involved with our hobby. We quickly learned that to make a premium wine requires outstanding grapes and it was challenging finding available local fruit of the highest quality that was responsibly grown. In 2011 we became serious about our passion. After completing a soil analysis, we planted a small vineyard on our property in Middletown, Maryland; a beautiful rural area which is located in the south western part of Frederick County.

Nancy Arbuthnot is a writer, watercolor artist, and former professor at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, and the 2020 artist-in-residence at Catoctin Mountain Park. A recent book, Remember Me Singing: A Catoctin Mountain Alphabet, a collection of poems and watercolor portraits of selected animals, plants and historical artifacts, resulted from her time in the park. Nancy creates her colorful artworks by collaging realistic figures drawn on tissue paper onto abstracted backgrounds painted on Bristol board, and she composes her poems based on observation and research. Nancy has also published books about the Naval Academy, including a memoir in poetry of growing up in the Navy and teaching poetry at the Academy. In 2015, after much research, Ed and Kathy O’Laughlin purchased a former dairy farm in Myersville with a plan of creating an exceptional vineyard. From her parents, she learned techniques in drawing and painting and received her formal art training at Schuler School of Fine Art and the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Rebecca Pearl began her career asa portrait painter at the age of 25 and gradually accepted commissions for animal and architectural subjects, florals and figures. Her work can presently be seen and enjoyed in fine art galleries throughout the region, and the University of Maryland at College Park and the Washington County Museum of Fine Art as well as homes and private collections. In June of 2004, she was honored to personally present a work honoring Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton to Pope John Paul II in Vatican City. Rebecca has a horse rescue farm and is very passionate about rescuing Standard breds from killpens.

Jenny is a composer and has an impressive catalogue of recorded original music and arrangements. Jenny's voice is sweet and sultry and the trio brings an intensity to the music that is palpable to the audience. Performances at jazz clubs, restaurants, festivals, church services and everywhere else you can imagine for two decades has given The Wilson Jazz Duo a patina that shines especially in live performance. Jenny is a graduate of the Jazz Pedagogy Masters degree program at WVU and now lives in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband and two cats. Nathan is currently in demand as a sound technician and recording engineer as well as composing his own music.
