Calling all ghastly ghouls, spooky spirits and wicked witches for an evening of Halloween family fun at the Fieldhouse Fright Night. All ages are welcome. The first 400-pre-registrants will receive a special reusable trick-or-treat bag at check-in. Kids will find tricks and treats galore as they make their way around Trick-or-Treat Street, play goblin games, make their way through mini and mega haunted houses, conquer the Rock’n Halloween Climbing Wall and play superhero with Parker Police Department and South Metro Safety Foundation! The StarBabies course introduces infants and toddlers to the water in a fun and loving environment, while training parents and caregivers in water safety and drowning prevention. This course focuses on comfort in the water and does not provide swim technique instruction nor emphasis on self-rescue, at this level.

The American Safety and Health Institute CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training program helps students develop the knowledge, skills and the confidence to respond to a medical emergency. This course is offered in a blended learning format, online and in person. Students will participate in a two to four hour online course prior to a two-hour skills session with a certified instructor.

RED CROSS: LIFEGUARD TRAINING

The Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics (CARA) Swim Team is designed to be a program with a strong recreational format for the non-ranked, non-sanctioned participant. Swimmers who are interested in participating in CARA must have working knowledge of all four major strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle. With two of the four strokes, swimmers must swim one pool length (25 yards). With the other two strokes, swimmers must swim from the wall to the flags (7 yards). INTRO TO TREE CLIMBING

Ever dreamed of climbing into the branches of a massive tree and exploring its canopy? If so, our Intro to Tree Climbing program is the perfect adventure for you. Using a moving rope system, you’ll learn how to ascend into the tree, navigate through different areas of the crown, and rappel back down with confidence. We’ll show you how to safely get up/down from a tree using ropes, harnesses and helmets. Once you’re up there, the fun really begins! Try out a giant rope swing, hang upside down like a bat, or even test your skills with some limb walking. This class will safely guide you through exercises on the Pilates Reformer. Movement principles include breath and core activation, pelvic stability, shoulder stabilization, strengthening the muscles around the hips and spinal mobilization. The first half of Restorative Yoga class mindfully stretches the connective tissues of the body by holding poses for three-plus minutes. • Games consist of two 7-minute, running time periods; no stoppage time.
• Face-offs only occur at the start of each period.

CARA BASKETBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE
6 to 13 years
Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in dribbling, shooting and passing with the winners of each division advancing to the sectionals and then possibly on to the state competition. Participants will be separated by age divisions (67, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13). Participants must bring a COPY of their birth certificate.
NBN’s elite coaching staff created drills that will take each athlete’s shooting and dribbling skills to the next level. Skills and techniques will be practiced weekly providing consistent coaching, structured scheduling and additional practice with repetition of skills. When consistently applied, players are not only able to utilize these techniques in actual game settings, but the skill improvement is proven to build confidence on and off the court.

Dive into the world of special and practical effects in this fast-paced, twoweek intensive. The session will start with a short demonstration on a model, followed by a guided, hands-on makeup experience where the students will be able to apply their newfound skills to create a final look on themselves or others.
This intensive teaches French sword combat for the stage, focusing on piratestyle sword fighting reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean. Learn the “Attack and Parry” system as you choreograph and perform your own exciting fight scene. Landscape Painting Nuts and Bolts

This workshop is for those who enjoy working with pastels and/or oils or for those who wish to experiment with these mediums. Students will practice the important fundamentals of studio landscape painting to help us get from the concept to completion. We will focus on the how and why of landscape painting, working from landscape photos and plein air studies. Students will improve their composition skills, understand the importance of simplification of shapes and masses, learn about values, atmospheric perspective, create a center of interest, the use of edges, and drawing and color. This high-energy class gives your little one the chance to explore a variety of dance styles in one fun-packed session by introducing ballet, tap, hip-hop and tumbling in an age-appropriate, playful way.
