Welcome to the Town of Little Elm Utility Billing Office We provide water, sewer, or solid waste services depending on your location within our service area All residents are billed monthly for the services available at their address There are two ways to set up service: visit our office in person or apply for service on our website

The Courtesy Drop Site is available to Little Elm residents with an active water or trash account

There is no fee to use the drop site

Please bring:

Your most recent utility bill

Photo ID with matching Little Elm address

Staff cannot assist with loading or unloading solid waste or brush/tree trimmings. This site is not a landfill and has limited space, only residential waste and recycling are accepted

Contractor debris are not accepted

Examples: full fence replacement materials, roofing shingles, bricks

These must be disposed of by the contractor as part of the project cost

Check bathroom and kitchen faucets, pipes, and toilets for leaks.

Turn off the kitchen faucet while scrubbing pots and dishes.

Install water-saving shower heads and take shorter showers.

Turn off the running water while soaping your hands and brushing your teeth

Use your dishwasher and washing machine only when fully loaded

Use a broom, not a hose, to clean driveways and sidewalks

Place mulch around plants to hold water in the soil

Water your yard and outdoor plants early or late in the day to reduce evaporation

Reduce water runoff by planting native plants in gardens

Adjust Your Irrigation Controller to Meet the Needs of your Lawn and the Changing Seasons

Morning, around 2-8 a m , is the best time to water

The rule of thumb for lawns is to water one inch deep each time you water

It's better for the lawn to water heavily and less frequently than to mist it daily

Pay attention to high-sun areas of the lawn

Don't forget that even mature trees need water, too

Hot, dry weather daily water guide:

Foundations: Using a soaker hose or drip irrigation system

Trees and Shrubs: Typically allowed if using a hand-held hose, soaker hose, or drip irrigation

Newly Planted Landscaping: May be exempt for a limited time (e g , 30 days) if properly documented

Vegetable Gardens: Often allowed with hand-held hoses or drip irrigation

Potted Plants: Usually permitted with hand watering

Know Your Conservation Stages

Living in Texas means that we are ALWAYS at a watchful lev el of Water Conservation The state as a whole remains in a constant state of Water Conservation With spring upon us our Water Conservation is currently on “seasonal restrictions” which limits the Town residents to landscape watering twice a week from April 1 - Town residents to landscape watering twice a week from April 1 - October 31 at this time Town Ordinance allows residents to water twice per week corresponding to their trash day, though resident are encouraged to only water as needed This watering schedule excludes the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on any given day (no watering between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) The Town of Little Elm encourages residents to complete an annual test at the beginning of the season to take a closer look at their irrigation system. Water loss is not always visible or noticeable until ground saturation occurs. Have a professionally licensed irrigator check out your irrigation system and perform an audit. Your system could most likely use some fine-tuning.
