Senior Sneakers Trips ACTIVITY LEVELS You must be able to walk six steep steps to board the bus.

Bus will be provided unless otherwise noted. Please let us know if you have any physical limitations prior to signing up for a trip so staff can try to accommodate your needs ahead of time. All trips depart from Diablo Vista Park. Choose your level carefully: LEVEL 1: Easy, sitting/little walking. Must be able to stand 10 minutes without assistance or bring your walker or wheelchair.

April Lemos Farms Goat Yoga #25705 Tuesday, April 7, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm Location: Half Moon Bay Whether you’re an experienced yogi or just looking for your next big adventure, goat yoga provides a truly heart-warming and unique experience for all ages. Each session includes 45 minutes of yoga while 15-20 small goats roam around you, perhaps nibbling at your clothes, climbing on your back, or cuddling up with you during relaxation poses. The class is followed by 15 minutes of petting zoo fun (including the chance to feed and brush the goats). The farm yoga class is designed for all levels, abilities, and ages 10-100. Fees: $55(R) $66(N) Wildlife Rescue Center #25707 Thursday, May 21, 7:30am – 3:00pm Location: Petaluma Enjoy a docent-led tour through the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue Center. The center has a team of trained staff and volunteers available to rescue wildlife seven days a week.

They provide specialized medical care to over 1,500 animals a year. With the help of their Good Samaritan team of veterinarians, they are able to perform surgeries, provide nutritional care, detailed exams and much more to give these animals the best chance of survival. On average, Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue releases 70% of their patients back to the wild. After the tour, we will have time to enjoy a stop for lunch. However, oftentimes extra help is needed with assistance of daily living activities to help one “Age in Place” with dignity and independence. This Buzz session will provide you with an overview of the various issues that should be considered when caring for your loved one at home: how to determine if your house is safe to help avoid accidents, identifying the need for outside help, various options which are available to you, different types of home care agencies and caregivers that are available in our community, questions you should ask when “shopping” for assistance, and what you can expect from a caregiver. Hiking Club The Danville Area Senior Hikes (DASH) is open to adults ages 55 and up. Most hikes are not strenuous, but gradients are involved due to the local terrain.
