Town Requests Your Input Regarding Programs for New Senior Center As you may have seen, construction on the Veterans Memorial Building is moving along nicely and the renovated building will include a portion that will be dedicated to service senior citizens as the Town’s Senior Center. The new Senior Center will consist of up to six rooms for senior citizen priority use which is three times as large as the previous facilities which house senior programs. With the anticipated opening of the Veterans Memorial Building fast approaching, the Town is interested in gathering information regarding the current and future needs of our senior citizens. In addition to programming ideas and needs, the survey will inquire about transportation needs, planned frequency of use, Senior Center memberships and communication. In June, the Town will mail surveys to everyone on the Silver Streak mailing list. The Town would appreciate your time and effort to complete the survey and return it to the Danville Community Center at 420 Front Street. Surveys will be due at the beginning of July and results will be available for consideration at the July 27 Senior Issues Sub-committee meeting. The quarterly Sub-committee meeting will be held at the Town Meeting Hall at 4 p.m.
