The Branchburg Community Garden concluded its 14th gardening season this past fall. Last summer’s hot and dry weather presented challenges, but also helped to produce a bountiful harvest of tomatoes, peppers and other produce for our gardeners. Those tomatoes, peppers, other produce and flowers were grown in the 80 garden plots rented by gardeners. Over the years, the garden has provided opportuni- ties for gardeners to grow vegetables and flowers, socialize and also give back to the community. In the spirit of giving, this year the garden donated 600 pounds of produce and nonperishable items to the Raritan Food Pantry. There’s a little something for everyone in the garden. There are organic and nonorganic plots and raised beds for folks who may find a conventional plot more challenging. Parents and grandparents have used a plot as a learning experience for their children and grandchildren.

The garden has a limited number of organic and nonorganic gardening plots available for rent for the 2023 season for residents and non residents of Branchburg. Available plots will be rented to new gardeners on a first come first serve basis.

10’ X 10’ plots rent for $30 ($20 for gardeners 62 and older) 10” X 24” plots rent for $50 ($40 for gardeners 62 and older).
