Historic Hilton Village was founded on July 7, 1918 as housing for shipbuilders during World War I.
Historic Hilton Village is situated between the corners of Warwick & Post, Post & River, Hopkins & River, and Hopkins & Warwick.
Architectural Review Board
Hilton Village has an Architectural Review Board (HVARB) governed by the City of Newport News and a board composed of:

The board is responsible for maintaining the special historic zoning regulations for Hilton Village as outlined in the City Code, and oversees any exterior improvements, changes, or additions to the property that can be observed from a public right of way.
