Touro College Los Angeles
Carrying the Touro mission to one of the nation’s largest Jewish communities, Touro College Los Angeles (TCLA) combines liberal arts and preprofessional courses in a supportive, Torah-observant environment. Modeled after Touro’s Lander Colleges, it is the only regionallyaccredited Orthodox Jewish university on the West Coast, and an attractive option for students in Southern California.
Through its vibrant atmosphere, TCLA links education with Torah-based values and knowledge. Both students and faculty are dedicated to the pursuit of scholarship in an environment that reflects Jewish ideals.
TCLA offers baccalaureate degree programs in psychology, business management and Judaic studies with concentrations in health sciences, accounting, entrepreneurship and marketing, among others. TCLA’s students benefit from its affiliation with Touro University Worldwide, and with the entire Touro system, providing a wealth of online courses and expanding educational options through master’s and doctoral degree programs. Graduates continue their professional studies in prestigious medical and law schools, as well as competitive graduate programs in other fields.
Located in West Hollywood, TCLA enrolls students in separate men’s and women’s divisions, and courses are conveniently scheduled to accommodate students who wish to work or continue yeshiva studies while they pursue their academic goals. The small class sizes—taught by TCLA’s outstanding faculty—foster a collaborative learning environment with individualized attention.
As the demand for professionals in real estate and computer science grows, TCLA has launched new concentrations in those fields. TCLA has also enhanced its health sciences concentration, which is bolstered by a state-of-the-art science lab and Integrated Health Sciences Honors Track, a pathway to Touro’s numerous graduate and professional programs in the health sciences and medicine.
TCLA offers the advantages of an intimate learning environment with personal attention to each student, while providing the quality instruction and connections to graduate study of a much larger institution. Graduates’ accomplishments, as a result of their education, have led them on the pathway to professional success in so many fields.

Batsheva Lipsker, CPA
M&A Tax Manager, Deloitte
Talk about a quick study. Soon after Batsheva Lipsker graduated with honors from Touro College Los Angeles in 2016, she began building a career in two of the top four international accounting powerhouses. She spent four years at PwC, in tax compliance, and now is a mergers and acquisitions tax manager for Deloitte. She is a tax expert whose clients include private equity firms and companies looking to make strategic acquisitions. She advises them on everything from tax diligence to helping structure businesses, before and after a merger, acquisition or reorganization.
“It’s not as hard as it sounds,” Lipsker, 26, says modestly— and unconvincingly.
When she entered Touro, Lipsker, who was reared in LA, had little idea what career path she would choose. Then she realized how easily she aced her accounting and math classes and how pained many of her fellow students looked. “One girl asked, ‘do you mind if I come over and study?’ then another asked, ‘wait, can I come, too?’ and then another,” says Lipsker, who graduated with a B.S. in business with a concentration in accounting and now lives in Manhattan. “So, they all came and I helped them study.”
She chose Touro because it wasn’t another huge impersonal university. She wanted to know her professors, for them to appreciate who she was and help her reach her goals.
“We had close relationships with all of our professors,” she says. “We had interview prep and résumé sessions. A professor offered to look over each of our résumés and helped us make them better. To this day, I still use those lessons. My Touro professors helped me speak to my strengths.”
