Sports Tourism Report

October 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is engineering a record setting year for sports tourism in The Palm Beaches (October 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) During the first three (3) quarters in FY 23, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission hosted 165 events, which generated room night production of 280,382.

Over the last three months of FY 23, the Sports Commission will host 32 more events, which will attract sports-related visitors from around the state, nation, and globe. Based on the room night projections for the remaining summer months, the Sports Commission should exceed the 300,000-room night benchmark.

Sports Commission Tourism Impacts: October 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023

• 280,382 tracked room nights.

• $68,923,503 in projected hotel revenue (using FY 22 ADR for April @ $245.82)

• $4,135,410 in projected bed tax revenues.

 The sports tourism impacts exclude several sizable events that have not reported room night numbers in June.

 Spectator room nights from MLB spring training are not included in the room night data as of this report.

 Winter Equestrian Festival room nights of 61,672, primarily from spectator growth are not included.
