Carrickfergus Castle
Carrickfergus Castle has been guarding Belfast Lough since 1177. It is just as imposing today as it was back then and it is certainly as impressive. This is one of the finest examples of a medieval Norman castle and it is worth investing a little on either the guided or selfguided tours on offer.
Ballygally Castle Hotel
Ideally located on the scenic Causeway Coastal Route, Ballygally Castle Hotel, (4*) County Antrim, is only 26 miles from Belfast, close to Larne and looks over the soft, sandy beaches of Ballygally Bay.
