As the hub of Kelowna, downtown is a vibrant andenergetic neighbourhood. From the waterfrontboardwalk to locally-owned restaurants to themany events, there are plenty of sights, tastes andexperiences to be had.

Trendy Bernard Avenue is the main street ofdowntown, and it’s jam packed with great restaurantsand bars. Try out Sunny’s–A Modern Diner for aninnovative take on diner fare, Antico Pizza Napoletanafor a slice of Neapolitan pizza, or Salt & Brick whichoffers a fresh-sheet menu filled with share platescreated daily by Chef James Holmes.

Kelowna is a buzzing city. Quite literally. Thecoffee culture is strong, and 15 coffee shops canbe found in the downtown core, five of them on

Bernard Avenue alone. Create your own coffee trail and try out some resident hangouts such as Doja Culture Cafe, Giobean Espresso (you might as well get some gelato since you’re there!) and Bliss Bakery. Make sure you pay a visit to Pulp Fiction Coffee House, half coffee shop, half rare book shop, and home to the beloved puppy, Artwo, it’s a hidden gem and a local favourite.

There is a blend of retail shops, galleries, and charming one-of-a-kind boutiques, where you’ll find everything from home décor and gifts, to accessories and swimwear. Morgane, Gypsy Soul Designs or Bia Boro Kelowna are just a few of the trendy clothing boutiques that line the streets. Downtown Kelowna is also home to the waterfront boardwalk. Starting at City Park, this beautiful 2 km, lakeside walk will take you past the Spirit of Sail statue and The Bear statue in Stuart Park, two of the most iconic and visited features of Kelowna, as well as the bird sanctuary at Rotary Marsh Park.
