Experience surpasses all other luxuries

Beagle Expeditions is a unique, family-run business led by Simon and Marleen Byron, who bring over 30 years of experience in the safari industry in Botswana. Their journey has been a combination of learning from trial and error, engaging in passionate debates, and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. Fortunately, their contrasting skill sets complement each other, positioning Beagle Expeditions to provide an exceptional experience for their guests.

One of the most rewarding aspects of their work is the sense of camaraderie and the lasting friendships that develop during their time spent in the bush. They have been incredibly fortunate to assemble a team of exceptional individuals who excel in their respective fields. These team members are at the heart of what Beagle Expeditions represents, and their commitment is instrumental to the company's success.

As a responsible operator, Beagle Expeditions is dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and local communities. They contribute 300 Botswana Pula per guest, per night to the Wild Entrust, a conservation initiative founded and managed by Tico and Lesley McNutt. These passionate individuals have been instrumental in predator conservation in Botswana and have played a significant role in the Okavango conservation story. The Wild Entrust acts as an incubator and facilitator for the Habu Conservancy, which was established by the Habu Elephant Development Trust (HEDT). Together, the Wild Entrust and HEDT spearhead various community conservation initiatives in and around the Habu Village, the closest village to Beagle Expeditions' operations.

By choosing Beagle Expeditions, guests not only embark on an extraordinary safari adventure but also contribute to the conservation efforts and community development in Botswana. It's an opportunity to experience the beauty of nature while making a meaningful difference in the lives of local communities and the preservation of the region's remarkable wildlife.
