Town of Superior MapMyRun Community Trail/Route Recommendations

Purpose The Town of Superior - Trail Resource Group provides an online resource for community residents to share, learn about, and provide feedback on trails in, through and near Superior.

Who Can Join?

Any individual who enjoys walking, running, or biking is welcome to create a free account on MapMyRun and join the Town of Superior – Trail Resource Group. All abilities welcome!

How to Sign-Up on MapMyRun.com and Join the Town of Superior Group

Go to www.mapmyrun.com.

You can sign-up by using your Facebook account or your email address.

3. Once your account is created, click on “Groups” under the “Community” tab at the top of the page.

4. Do a search for “Town of Superior.”

5. Choose the “Town of Superior – Trail Resource” Group and select “Join Group.”

You are now a member of the group!

How to Share Maps/Routes with Group

1. Group routes and descriptions are listed under the “Routes” tab.

2. Once you create a map, bookmark it. The map will then be displayed under the group’s “Routes” tab.

Helpful Tips When Bookmarking Maps/Routes Tip- for a map/route to be bookmarked and shared with the group, your privacy settings may need to be changed.

There are two privacy options that will allow maps/route to be bookmarked and shared.

1. Navigate to your account’s privacy settings and change default to have routes shared with everyone – all maps will be shared.

2. Under the My Maps tab, toggle the padlock icon to the unlocked position for the map that you would like to bookmark and share.

This will now allow the specific map to be shared with everyone.

How to Utilize MapMyRun Mobile App 1. Download free MapMyRun Running app on your iPhone, Blackberry, or Android.

2. Use the app’s “Record” button to track your walk, bike, or run. Doing this will utilize the built-in GPS of your mobile device and record your workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and route traveled on an interactive map. All of your info syncs securely with your account on MapMyRun, where you can bookmark your route to the group.

*In order for your route to be accurately recorded, make sure to enable your GPS location services setting on your phone.
