HARRY JONGERDEN Garden Director

Welcome to Toronto Botanical Garden’s annual Blossom Party. For new participants, the Blossom Party is a magical event that brings together the elegance and natural beauty of our landscape with that of our guests. We’ve all been sharing in the frustratingly slow reveal of nature’s beauty this year, but the upside is that TBG will still be bursting with spring blossoms on May 28. Toronto Botanical Garden has begun its exciting expansion project to include Toronto’s premier garden park, Edwards Gardens. Be sure to return to visit this beautiful and historic landscape next to TBG, as well as its gateway to the amazing Toronto ravine system. Thank you for celebrating nature, for celebrating our expansion and for supporting the excellence of a botanical garden that exists to inspire you. Thank you as well to our sponsors and donors, and to the committee of volunteers and staff who have organized the Blossom Party. We hope you’ll enjoy yourselves, and enjoy yourselves all the more because you know that the proceeds support TBG’s nature-based education programs for children and the revitalization of the Wilket Creek ravine, one of our most engaging open-air classrooms, where kids learn to sustainably interact with nature.

MESSAGE FROM THE EVENT CHAIR

“What an honour to serve as an event chair for a garden that has given me such joy over the last fourteen years! It has given me the gifts of beauty, peace and wonderment, making this position a true labour of love. I hope you enjoy this first evening Blossom Party and experience a connection to this garden, even for one evening, that I have come to treasure.”
