ՊՕՂՈՍ ԱՌԱՔ. ՏԻՄՈԹԷՈՍԻՆ ԳՐԱԾ 2-ՐԴ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 1.6- 14 Ուստի կը վերյիշեցնեմ քեզի՝ որ արծարծես Աստուծոյ շնորհը, որ տրուեցաւ քեզի՝ երբ ձեռնադրեցի քեզ. որովհետեւ Աստուած տուաւ մեզի ո՛չ թէ երկչոտութեան՝ այլ զօրութեան, սիրոյ ու խոհեմութեան Հոգին: Ուրեմն մի՛ ամչնար մեր Տէրոջ վկայութեան համար, ո՛չ ալ ինծի՝ անոր բանտարկեալին համար. հապա մասնակցէ՛ աւետարանին չարչարանքներուն՝ Աստուծոյ զօրութեան համեմատ: Ան փրկեց մեզ եւ կանչեց սուրբ կոչումով, ո՛չ թէ մեր գործերուն համեմատ, հապա՝ իր առաջադրութեան ու շնորհքին համաձայն, որ Քրիստոս Յիսուսով տրուեցաւ մեզի՝ դարերու ժամանակներէն առաջ, բայց հիմա բացայայտուեցաւ՝ մեր Փրկիչ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի երեւումով: Ան ոչնչացուց մահը, եւ լուսաւորեց կեանքն ու անմահութիւնը՝ աւետարանով, որուն նշանակուեցայ քարոզիչ, առաքեալ, եւ հեթանոսներու վարդապետ: Այս պատճառով ալ կը կրեմ այս չարչարանքները. բայց չեմ ամչնար, որովհետեւ գիտեմ թէ որո՛ւն հաւատացած եմ, ու համոզուած եմ թէ ան կարող է պահել իմ իրեն յանձնած աւանդս մինչեւ այն օրը: Ամո՛ւր բռնէ տիպարը այն ողջամիտ խօսքերուն՝ որ լսեցիր ինձմէ, հաւատքով եւ Քրիստոս Յիսուսի մէջ եղած սիրով: Պահէ՛ այդ բարի աւանդը Սուրբ Հոգիին միջոցով՝ որ կը բնակի մեր մէջ: ՂՈՒԿԱՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 10.16-20 Ա՛ն որ մտիկ կ՚ընէ ձեզի՝ մտիկ կ՚ընէ ինծի՛. իսկ ա՛ն որ կ՚անարգէ ձեզ՝ կ՚անարգէ զի՛ս, եւ ա՛ն որ կ՚անարգէ զիս՝ կ՚անարգէ զիս ղրկո՛ղը»: Եօթանասուն աշակերտները վերադարձան ուրախութեամբ, եւ ըսին. «Տէ՛ր, քու անունովդ՝ դեւե՛րն ալ կը հպատակէին մեզի»: Յիսուս ըսաւ անոնց. «Կը տեսնէի Սատանան, որ վար կ՚ իյնար երկինքէն՝ փայլակի նման: Ահա՛ ձեզի իշխանութիւն կու տամ՝ կոխելու օձերու, կարիճներու, եւ թշնամիին ամբողջ զօրութեան 3

վրայ. բնա՛ւ բան մը պիտի չվնասէ ձեզի: Բայց դուք մի՛ ուրախանաք՝ որ չար ոգիները կը հպատակին ձեզի. այլ մանաւանդ ուրախացէ՛ք՝ որ ձեր անունները գրուած են երկի՛նքը»: 2 TIMOTHY 1.6- 14 For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9He has saved us and called us to a holy life - not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

13What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 14Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

LUKE 10.16-20 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

ԵՓԵՍՈՍԻ ՍԲ. ԺՈՂՈՎԻ 200 ՀԱՅՐԱՊԵՏՆԵՐՈՒ ՅԻՇԱՏԱԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ՕՐ Եփեսոսի Տիեզերական 3-րդ ժողովը գումարուեցաւ 431 թ. հրաւէրովը Թէոդոս Բ. Կայսեր՝ կարգադրելու համար նեստորական վէճերը (Այս տարի Օգոստոս 7-ին) ։ Ժողովը նախագահեց Կիւրեղ Աղեքսանդրիացի Պատրիարքը եւ ժողովին ներկայ եղան 200 հայրապետներ։

Նեստորը քարոզիչ հոգեւորական էր Անտիոքի շրջանէն, որ 428թ. Կ. Պոլսոյ պատրիարք ընտրուեցաւ։ Նեստորի ուսմունքին համաձայն Քրիստոս ծնած է որպէս հասարակ մարդ, ապա Աստուածութիւնը բնակած է անոր անձին մէջ: Ուստի Ս. Կոյս Մարիամը Աստուածածին չէ, այլ մարդածին: Ժողովը գրեթէ միաձայնութեամբ դատապարտեց Նեստորը եւ իր ուսուցումը ու կարգալոյծ հռչակեց զայն Կ. Պոլսոյ պատրիարքութենէն։ Ժողովը նաեւ ընդունեց Կիւրեղ Աղեքսանդրիացիի ուսմունքը որուն 6

համաձայն Քրիստոսի Աստուածային և մարդկային բնութիւնները միաւորուած են եւ Ս. Մարիամ ոչ թէ մարդածին է, այլ Աստուածածին, քանի որ ծնունդ տուաւ Աստուծոյ Որդիին: Վերահաստատուեցան Աստուածածին տիտղոսը Ս. Կոյսին համար եւ Նիկիոյ Հաւատոյ Հանգանակը: Թէեւ Հայ Եկեղեցին չմասնակցեցաւ այս տիեզերական ժողովին, սակայն ընդունեց անոր որոշումներն ու տիեզերական հեղինակութիւնը: Իսկ Կիւրեղի նշանաւոր բանաձեւը, որ է «Մի է բնութիւն Բանին մարմնացելոյ» Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցւոյ մէջ դարձաւ Քրիստոսի բնութեան վարդապետութեան հիմնաքարը: THE ECUMENICAL COUNCIL OF EPHESUS On the Saturday of the Paregentan of the Assumption (this year August 7) the Armenian Church also commemorates the 200 Holy Fathers of the Council of Ephesus (431 AD). The third Universal Ecumenical Council was convened in Ephesus by the order of Emperor Theodosius II to settle the Nestorian heresy. About 200 Pontiffs attended this council, which was presided by Patriarch Cyril of Alexandria.

Nestorius was a Christian clergy and in 428 was elected as the Patriarch of Constantinople.

According to his teaching there were two independent, contrasting natures in Christ: divine and human. Nestorius preached that Christ was born as a simple man and only later Divinity was settled in His Person, and therefore, the Holy Virgin Mary was not Godmother, but the mother of a simple man. The Council excommunicated Nestorius and condemned his views, confirmed the Nicene Creed, and approved the title of Theotokos for the Virgin Mary.

Even though the Armenian Church did not participate in this Council, it accepted the canons and decisions passed during the council. The famous formulation of St. Cyril: “The one incarnate nature of God the Word”, has become the cornerstone of the Armenian Church regarding the nature of Christ. The Armenian Church recognizes the first three ecumenical councils: Council of Nicaea (325); Council of Constantinople (381); Council of Ephesus (431) and dedicated commemoration days in its Liturgical Calendar for all three.
