ԳԱՂԱՏԱՑԻՆԵՐՈՒՆ ԳՐՈՒԱԾ ՆԱՄԱԿԷՆ 2.1-10 Յետոյ, տասնչորս տարի ետք, դարձեալ բարձրացայ Երուսաղէմ՝ Բառնաբասի հետ, Տիտոսն ալ միասին առնելով: Բարձրացած էի յայտնութեամբ, եւ անոնց ներկայացուցի այն աւետարանը՝ որ հեթանոսներուն մէջ կը քարոզեմ. բայց առանձին անոնց՝ որ երեւելիներ էին, որպէսզի ընդունայն չվազեմ կամ վազած չըլլամ: Բայց ո՛չ իսկ ինծի հետ եղող Տիտոսը, որ Յոյն էր, հարկադրուեցաւ թլփատուիլ՝ գաղտնի ներս բերուած սուտ եղբայրներուն պատճառով, որոնք ներս սպըրդած էին՝ լրտեսելու համար Քրիստոս Յիսուսով մեր ունեցած ազատութիւնը, որպէսզի ստրուկ ընեն մեզ. անոնց տեղի չտուինք՝ նոյնիսկ քիչ մը ատեն՝՝ ենթարկուելով, որպէսզի աւետարանին ճշմարտութիւնը ձեր մէջ մնայ: Իսկ անոնք որ կը կարծուէին բա՛ն մը ըլլալ - ինչ որ էին՝ ատիկա ինծի հարց չէ, քանի որ Աստուած մարդոց աչառութիւն չ՚ըներ -, այնպէս կարծուածները աւելի ոչինչ հաղորդեցին ինծի. հապա՝ ընդհակառակը, երբ տեսան թէ անթլփատներուն աւետարանը ինծի վստահուած է, ինչպէս Պետրոսի ալ՝ թլփատուածներունը, (որովհետեւ ա՛ն որ ներգործեց Պետրոսի մէջ՝ թլփատւածներուն առաքելութեան համար, նոյնպէս ներգործեց իմ մէջս՝ հեթանոսներուն հանդէպ,) ու երբ Յակոբոս, Կեփաս եւ Յովհաննէս, որոնք սիւներ կարծուած էին, գիտակցեցան ինծի տրուած շնորհքին, իրենց աջ ձեռքը տուին ինծի ու Բառնաբասի՝ իբր նշան հաղորդակցութեան, որպէսզի մենք քարոզենք հեթանոսներուն, իսկ իրենք՝ թլփատուածներուն: Միայն թէ կ՚ուզէին որ աղքատները յիշենք, ինչ որ ես ալ փութացի ընել: ՄԱՐԿՈՍԻ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԷՆ 2.35-44 Երբ Յիսուս կը սորվեցնէր տաճարին մէջ՝ ըսաւ. «Դպիրները ի՞նչպէս կ՚ըսեն թէ “Քրիստոս Դաւիթի որդին է”: 3

Արդարեւ ի՛նք՝ Դաւիթ՝ Սուրբ Հոգիով կ՚ըսէ. “Տէրը ըսաւ իմ Տէրոջս. «Բազմէ՛ իմ աջ կողմս, մինչեւ որ քու թշնամիներդ պատուանդան դնեմ ոտքերուդ»”: Ուրեմն ի՛նք՝ Դաւիթ՝ Տէր կը կոչէ զայն. ի՞նչպէս ան կ՚ըլլայ իր որդին»: Բազմութենէն շատեր հաճոյքով մտիկ կ՚ընէին անոր: Իր ուսուցումին մէջ կ՚ըսէր անոնց. «Զգուշացէ՛ք դպիրներէն, որոնք կ՚ուզեն երկայն հանդերձներով շրջիլ, կը փնտռեն բարեւները՝ հրապարակներուն վրայ, առաջին աթոռները՝ ժողովարաններու մէջ, եւ առաջին բազմոցները՝ ընթրիքներու մէջ. որոնք կը լափեն այրիներուն տուները, ու իբր պատրուակ՝ աղօթքը կ՚երկարեն: Ասոնք աւելի՛ խստութեամբ պիտի դատուին՝՝»: Յիսուս գանձանակին դիմաց նստած՝ կը նայէր թէ բազմութիւնը գանձանակին մէջ ի՛նչպէս դրամ կը ձգէ: Շատ հարուստներ՝ շատ բան ձգեցին: Աղքատ այրի մըն ալ եկաւ ու երկու լումայ ձգեց, որ նաքարակիտ մը կ՚ընէ: Իր աշակերտները կանչելով իրեն՝ ըսաւ անոնց. «Ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի թէ այս աղքատ այրին՝ գանձանակը դրամ ձգողներուն բոլորէն աւելի ձգեց. որովհետեւ բոլորը իրենց առատութենէն ձգեցին, բայց ան՝ իր կարօտութենէն՝ ձգեց իր ամբողջ ունեցածը, իր ամբողջ ապրուստը»: GALATIANS 2:1-10 Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also. I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.

As for those who were held in high esteem—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism— they added nothing to my message. On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Cephas c and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

MARK 12:35-44 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David?

David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: ‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.” David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?” The large crowd listened to him with delight. As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.” Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

ՏՕՆԵՐ- FEASTS ՏՕՆ ՍԲ. ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԻՉՆԵՐՈՒ ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ, ՄԱՐԿՈՍԻ, ՂՈՒԿԱՍԻ ԵՒ ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍԻ Հոկտեմբեր 17-ին Հայաստանեայց եկեղեցին կը յիշատակէ տօնը Քրիստոսի կեանքն ու քարոզչութիւնը պատմող Սուրբ աւետարանիչներու՝ Մատթէոսի, Մարկոսի, Ղուկասի եւ Յովհաննէսի: Մատթէոսը եւ Յովհաննէսը 12 առաքեալներէն էին, իսկ Մարկոսն ու Ղուկասը՝ 72-էն:

ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԻՉԸ Գալիլիայէն էր՝ Կառափնիոյ բնակիչ եւ պաշտօնով մաքսաւոր էր: Իր հրէական անունը Ղեւի էր, որ թարգմանաբար կը նշանակէ Աստուածատուր: Երբ Յիսուս զինք իր 12 առաքեալներէն մէկը ըլլալու կանչեց, ան անմիջապէս Տէրոջը հետեւեցաւ եւ դարձաւ Անոր աշակերտը: Ան քարոզած է Պաղեստին եւ Պարթեւաստան: Հաւատացեալ հրեաներու խնդրանքով ան գրի առաւ իր բանաւոր քարոզները, որ հիմը դարձան իր Աւետարանին: Նահատակուած է Եթովպիայ, կամ՝ Պարթևաստան: Մատթէոսի խորհըրդանիշը թեւաւոր մարդն է: 6

ՄԱՐԿՈՍ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԻՉԸ Աւանդութեան համաձայն մէկն էր այն կոյրերէն, որ բժշըկւած էին Քրիստոսի ձեռքով: Այն վերնատունը, ուր Յիսուսի եւ Անոր աշակերտներու համար եղաւ իբրեւ օթեւան եւ աղօթատեղի, կը պատկանէր Մարկոսի ծնողներուն: Մարկոս աշակերտած է Պետրոս Պօղոս առաքեալներուն, եղած է անոնց քարտուղար եւ թարգմանիչ: Աւետարանը գրած է Պետրոս առաքեալի պատմածներու յիշողութեամբ: Մարկոսը կը համարուի Աղէքսանդրիոյ աթոռին առաջին եպիսկոպոսը: Նահատակուած է Եգիպտոս՝ հեթանոսներու ձեռքով: Ս. Մարկոս կը համարուի Ղըպտի Ուղղափառ Եկեղեցւոյ հիմնադիրը: Մարկոս աւետարանիչին խորհրդանիշն է թեւաւոր առիւծը։ ՂՈՒԿԱՍ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԻՉԸ Ծագումով յոյն բժիշկ մըն էր, պատմաբան եւ նկարիչ՝ Սուրիոյ Անտիոք քաղաքէն: Աշակերտած է Պօղոս առաքեալին եւ դարձած անոր հաւատարիմ գործակիցը: Աւանդութեան համաձայն՝ իր Աւետարանը գրած է Անտիոք՝ Պօղոս առաքեալի քարոզչութեան համաձայն: Նահատակուած է Մակեդոնիա: Ղուկասի խորհրդանիշն է թեւաւոր ցուլը:

ՅՈՎՀԱՆՆԷՍ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆԻՉԸ Յիսուսի 12 Առաքեալներէն կըրտսերագոյնն է, բայց բոլոր առաքեալներէն ամենէն երկարը ապրած եւ վախճանած է 94 տարեկանին: Ինքն էր, որ Յիսուսի ետեւէն գնաց Գեթսեմանիէն մինչեւ Գողգոթա: Երբ արդէն շատ ծեր էր, շարունակ կ'ըսէր. «Զաւակներս սիրեցէք զիրար»: Այն հարցին թէ ինչու այդքան յաճախ ինք կր կրկնէ այդ խօսքերը, կը պատասխանէր. «Տէրոջը պատուիրանն է: Եթէ սէր ունիք, ուրիշ բանի մը կարիք չէք ունենար»: Իր Աւետարանը գրած է Եփեսոս: Գրած է նաեւ 3 ընդհանրական թուղթերը եւ Յայտնութիւնը: Յովհաննէսի խորհրդանիշն է արծիւը:

FEAST OF THE EVANGELISTS STS. MATHEW, MARK, LUKE AND JOHN On October 17 the Armenian Church commemorated the Feast of Holy Evangelists Matthew Mark, Luke and John, who wrote the 4 Gospels of Jesus Christ. The word Evangelist comes from the Greek Euaggelistes which means "one who brings good news.". Matthew and John were among the original twelve apostles of Christ; Mark and Luke were apparently amongst 72disciples.

ST. MATHEW was a tax collector in Capernaum, Galilee. He is the author of the first Gospel. The name of Matthew is the Greek version of his Hebrew name Levi, which means God-given. Following God’s will, he became one of the Christ's followers. He has preached the Word of God in Parthia and Palestine. His symbol is the winged man.

ST. MARK is believed to be one of the blind men that were healed by our Lord Jesus Christ. It was the house of his mother -Mary that was the place of prayer for the apostles. He has been the interpreter of St Peter, as well as the friend of St. Paul and Barnabas. He has preached the Word of God in Antioch, Cyprus, Rome and later in Egypt, where he has 8

been martyred. He is the founder of the Coptic Orthodox Church in 64 AC. His symbol is the winged lion.

ST. LUKE is the author of the third Gospel. He was of Greek descent and was born in Antioch. According to the tradition he is one of the seventy-two disciples of Jesus Christ. According to St. Paul he was a physician, a historian and an artist. He has preached the Word of God in Achaia, Dalmatia, Italy, Macedonian and was martyred at age 74. His symbol is the winged bull.

ST. JOHN is the author of the fourth Gospel, three letters and the Revelation. He was the son of the fisherman Zebedee and the brother of James. Together with James and Peter he witnessed the “transfiguration” of Jesus Christ on the mount Tabor. Together with St. Mary, Holy Godmother, he stood near the cross. After the Pentecost, John went to Ephesus, where he wrote his Gospel. He passed away at the age of 95.

His symbol is the winged eagle. Ի՞ՆՉ ԿԸ ՆՇԱՆԱԿԷ ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ Աւետարան բառը յունարէն evangelion բառի թարգմանութիւնն է, որ կազմուած է ev (բարի) եւ aggeleon (աւետել) բառերէն, այսինքն՝ բարի լուրը աւետել։ Առաջին դարուն, Աւետարաններ, այսինքն՝ Քրիստոսի երկրային կեանքին վերաբերող պատմութիւնները եւ Անոր վարդապետութեան հիմնական դրոյթները պարունակող գիրքեր շատ եղած են, սակայն անոնց ոչ բոլորն էին հաւաստիքի արժանի։ Հետեւաբար, եկեղեցւոյ հայրեր, սուրբ Հոգիի առաջնորդութեամբ ընտրեցին այն 4 գիրքերը՝ Մատթէոսի, Մարկոսի, Ղուկասի եւ Յովհաննէսի Աւետարանները, որոնցմով կը սկսի Նոր Կտակարանը։ Ինչպէս անոնցմէ իւրաքանչիւրը առանձին, այնպէս ալ չորսը միասին կը կոչուին Աւետարան։ Աւետարանել կը նշանակէ աւետիս՝ բարի լուր յայտնել։ Քանի որ Քրիստոսը, որուն կը սպասէին դարերէ ի վեր, ապա խօսիլ Անոր անձին, խօսքերուն, գործերուն եւ տնօրինութեան մասին՝ կը նշանակէ յայտնել փրկութեան եւ երկնքի արքայութեան մասին լուրը։ Ինքը Քրիստոս եկաւ այս լուրը Իր շրթունքներուն՝ ըսելով՝ «ապաշխարեցէք, որովհետեւ երկնքի արքայութիւնը մօտեցեր է» ։ Այնուհետեւ Ան իրագործեց այդ իր կեանքով։ 9

OUR CHURCH HAS REOPENED Dear faithful, It is with a heart full of spiritual happiness we announce that based on the decision of Mr. Doug Ford, Ontario Premier, and the blessings of H.E. Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Church of Canada, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church reopened its doors to the faithful on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The church will be open for prayers and visits every: Sunday for Divine Liturgy, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Wednesday, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, prayers for the recovery of those who are ill. Live streaming will be available on the church Facebook page.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, during the church office hours, for private prayers and lighting of candles.

In order to register names for baptisms, weddings, funeral services, as well as requiem and prayers for health or to visit the church office, you are kindly advised to contact the office beforehand: Tel.: 416-431-3001 ext. 226

ATTENTION We would like to draw your attention to the following important points: According to the decision made by the Provincial authorities, we will be able to admit only a limited number of faithful, in order to be able to apply all security measures: keeping 6 feet apart. Families living in the same household will be allowed to sit together; however, each person will be counted separately in the headcount. No handshakes and hugs, please.

All those who visit the church must wear a face mask. Please bring your own to help ensure supplies last.

A designated person will record the names of the visitors and escort them to their assigned seat.

The collection tray will not be passed but rather placed in the Church lobby, where people can make their offering on their way out.

All those in high risk groups are strongly urged to stay home.

You cannot enter the Church if any of the following applies to you: 1. a family member or anybody in your immediate surrounding has any of the symptoms listed below or has tested positive for Covid-19; 2. have fever; 3. have a cough; 4. have a sore throat; 5. have loss of taste or smell; 6. traveled outside the province of Ontario APPRECIATION We extend our thanks to the deacons and the members of the church choir, who voluntarily participated in the ceremonies during these difficult times and to you, dear faithful, for your patience, prayers and your donations to support the mission of our Church.

ՈՒՇԱԴՐՈՒԹԻՒՆ Ձեր ուշադրութիւնը կ'ուզենք հրաւիրել հետեւեալ կարեւոր կէտերուն. Նահանգային կառավարութեան առած որոշումին համաձայն, առայժմ մենք արարողութիւններուն պիտի կարենանք սահմանափակ թիւով հաւատացեալներ ընդունիլ, ապահովութեան բոլոր միջոցները կիրառելու համար, 6 ոտք հեռաւորութիւն պահելով։ Ընտանիքներ, որոնք նոյն յարկին տակ կը բնակին, կրնան միասին նստիլ, բայց իւրաքանչիւր անձ իբրեւ առանձին թիւ պիտի նկատուի հաշիւին մէջ։ Ձեռնուիլ եւ փաթթուիլ պէտք չէ ըլլայ։ Բոլոր անոնք որոնք եկեղեցի կ'այցելեն, պարտին դիմակ կրել։ Հաճեցէք միշտ ձեր անձնական դիմակները հայթայթել։ Նշանակուած անձ մը ձեր անունները պիտի արձանագրէ եւ ձեր տեղերը առաջնորդէ։ Պատարագի դրամահաւաքի պնակը չպիտի դարձուի, այլ պիտի դրուի եկեղեցւոյ նախասրահի մէջ, ուր ելլած ատէն պիտի կարենաք ձեր նուէրները դնել։ ԶԳՈՒՇԱՑՈՒՄ Բոլոր այն անձերը որոնք հիւանդանալու բարձր կարելիութիւն ունին նախընտրելի է որ տունը մնան։ Եկեղեցի չէք կրնար մտնել եթէ հետեւեալ կէտերէն որեւէ մէկը կը կիրարկուի.

1. ձեր անմիջական շրջանակին կամ ընտանիքին մէջ ոեւէ մէկը վարակուած է Գովիտ-19-ով եւ կամ ունին հետեւեալ ախտանշանները՝ 2. ջերմութիւն, 3. հազ, 4. կոկորդի ցաւ, 5. հոտառութեան կամ համի զգալի պակաս, 6. Օնթարիօ նահանգէն դուրս ճամբորդած էք։
