ՏԷՐՈՒՆԱԿԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Օրհնեալ Տէր մեր Յիսուս Քրիստոս. ամէն: Հայր մեր, որ յերկինս ես, սուրբ եղիցի անուն քո: Եկեսցէ արքայութիւն քո, եղիցին կամք քո որպէս յերկինս եւ յերկրի: Զհաց մեր հանապազորդ տուր մեզ այսօր, եւ թող մեզ զպարտիս մեր, որպէս եւ մեք թողումք մերոց պարտապանաց: Եւ մի տանիր զմեզ ի փորձութիւն, այլ փրկեա զմեզ ի չարէ: Զի քո է արքայութիւն եւ զօրութիւն եւ փառք յաւիտեանս. ամէն։ ԸՆԹԵՐՑՈՒՄ ՄԱՏԵԱՆ ՈՂԲԵՐԳՈՒԹԵՆԷՆ (ՆԱՐԵԿ) ԲԱՆ ԼԶ ՍՐՏԻ ԽՈՐՔԵՐԻՑ ԽՈՍՔ ԱՍՏԾՈՅ ՀԵՏ Ա Որքան էլ շատ լինեն մեղքերս, Շնորհիդ փրկարար արդիւնքներն անթիւ Եւ հանդիսադրումն այն չարչարանքների, որոնք յանձն առար` Գերազանցում են նրանց միշտ իրենց առաւելութեամբ: Հոգիներն համայն իր մէջ ամփոփող աջդ արարչագործ Մահուան գործիքի` Խաչի նշանի վրայ գամեցիր, Որպէսզի կամքիդ դէմ երկարող ձեռքս թուլացնես: Համընթաց քո զոյգ ոտքերդ ազատարար Իմ անսանձութեան պատճառով պատժարանի փայտին կպցրիր, Որպէսզի զսպէս դու գթածաբար վայրագութիւնը փախչող թշուառիս: 2

Բ Չհրամայեցիր, որ քո օրհնեալ գագաթը կռփողների ձեռքը գոսանար, Դու, որ քարերի կարծրութիւնը ճեղքեցիր,Որպէսզի այդ օրինակով` եւ ի՛նձ ներելդ կանխաւ աւետես: Քեզ` խոստովանուած Աստծուդ գանող անպիտաններին չսպառնացիր, Դու, որ արուսեակը մթնացրիրՈր մահացածիս բարութեամբ հանդերձ հանգիստ շնորհես: Հայհոյիչների չարախօս բերանը չչորացրիր, Դու, որ լուսնի պատկերը արեան երանգով գունաւորեցիր,Որպէսզի քեզ գովելու համար անհամարձակ լեզուս զօրացնես: Չսաստեցիր քեզ նախատողների մոլեգնութիւնը, Դու, որ տարերքն անգամ սասանեցիր,Որպէսզի թշուառ գլուխս գթութեանդ օծումով իւղես: Քեզ մոլորեցուցիչ անուանող աստուածասպանների ծնոտների յօդուածներն իրարից բաժանելով չխախտեցիր, Դո՛ւ, որ քարերի կարծրութիւնը ճեղքեցիր,Որպէսզի բարուց դատարկ իմ հոգին ընդունայնութեան յօժարութիւնից հանդարտեցնես: Պահապանների սրերը իրենց ընդերքը չմխեցիր, Դո՛ւ, որ օձի որովայնը հողի վրայ սողալուն մատնեցիր,Որպէսզի ոսկորներն իմ տառապեալ մարմնի, իբր գանձարանում պահուած` Հարութեան կենացն արժանացնես: Երբ կենդանակիր քո գերեզմանի տապանաքարը կնքում էին, Նրանց տեղնուտեղը թիկունքի վրայ պառկեցնելով` երկրի անդունդները չսուզեցիր, Որպէսզի հոգուս տապանակի մէջ լոյսիդ նշխարը հանգչեցնես: 3

Երբ քեզ կորած եւ իբրեւ երկրաւոր մարմին գողացուած էին համբաւում, Դու` համայնաջինջ եւ սպառսպուռ չկրճատեցիր նրանց սերունդները, Որպէսզի եւ ինձ, բարուն հետեւող յիշատակուելու անարժանիս իսկ Անկորուստ կերպով, անվնասելի` փրկուածներին մասնակից դարձնես: Երբ ուրացողները մոլեգնաբար, որպէս մատնութեան անարգ գրաւական` Քո հօր տաճարի գանձարանից մաս էին հանում, կաշառք տալով արծաթ կրկնակապեն` Չդարձրիր նրանց դու քարէ արձան, Նման` Մովաբի տատին պատահած այն հին հարուածի,Որպէսզի եւ ինձ` հաստատութեանս մէջ վրիպեալիս Եւ մահուան իշխանութեանը վաճառուածիս թշուառ` Արեամբ քո փրկելով` հաստատուն վէմիդ վրայ կառուցես: Օրհնեա՜լ ես կրկին, օրհնեա՜լ վերստին, Ամէն ինչի մէջ միշտ օրհնաբանուած` յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Բարերա՛ր եւ Բազումողո՛րմ Աստուած, Քու անմոռաց գիտութեամբ եւ անբաւ մարդասիրութեամբ յիշէ՛ բոլոր Քեզի հաւատացողներուն եւ ողորմէ՛ ամենուն: Օգնէ՛ եւ փրկէ՛ բոլոր վտանգներէն եւ փորձութիւններէն: Արժանաւորէ՛ գոհութեամբ փառաւորել Հօրը, Որդիին եւ Սուրբ Հոգիին այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ԱՒԵՏԱՐԱՆ ԸՍՏ ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍԻ 7: 13- 29 «Նե՛ղ դռնէն ներս մտէք. որովհետեւ լայն է այն դուռը, եւ ընդարձակ՝ այն ճամբան, որ դէպի կորուստ կը տանի, ու շատ են անոնք՝ որ կը մտնեն անկէ. որովհետեւ նեղ է այն դուռը, եւ անձուկ՝ այն ճամբան, որ դէպի կեանք կը տանի, ու քիչ են անոնք՝ որ կը գտնեն զայն»: «Զգուշաց՛էք սուտ մարգարէներէն, որոնք կու գան ձեզի ոչխարի հանդերձներով, բայց ներսէն՝ յափշտակող գայլեր են: Իրենց պտուղէ՛ն պիտի ճանչնաք զանոնք: Միթէ փուշերէն կը քաղե՞ն խաղող, կամ տատասկէն՝ թուզ: Այսպէս ամէն բարի ծառ՝ լաւ պտուղ կը բերէ, եւ վատ ծառ՝ չար պտուղ կը բերէ: Բարի ծառը չի կրնար չար պտուղ բերել, ո՛չ ալ վատ ծառը՝ լաւ պտուղ բերել: Ամէն ծառ որ լաւ պտուղ չի բերեր, կը կտրուի ու կը նետուի կրակը: Ուրեմն՝ իրենց պտուղէ՛ն պիտի ճանչնաք զանոնք»: «Ո՛չ թէ ո՛վ որ ինծի՝ “Տէ՛ր, Տէ՛ր” կ՚ըսէ, պիտի մտնէ երկինքի թագաւորութիւնը, հապա ան՝ որ կը գործադրէ իմ երկնաւոր Հօրս կամքը: Շատեր այն օրը պիտի ըսեն ինծի. “Տէ՛ր, Տէ՛ր, միթէ չմարգարէացա՞նք քու անունովդ, դեւեր չհանեցի՞նք քու անունովդ, եւ շատ հրաշքներ չգործեցի՞նք քու անունովդ”: Այն ատեն պիտի յայտարարեմ անոնց. “Ես բնա՛ւ չէի ճանչնար ձեզ. հեռացէ՛ք քովէս դո՛ւք՝ որ անօրէնութիւն կը գործէիք”»: «Ուրեմն ո՛վ որ կը լսէ այս խօսքերս եւ կը գործադրէ զանոնք, պիտի նմանցնեմ զայն ուշիմ մարդու մը՝ որ իր տունը կառուցանեց վէմի վրայ: Տեղատարափ անձրեւ իջաւ, հեղեղները եկան, հովերը փչեցին ու զարկին այդ տան՝ բայց չփլաւ, որովհետեւ հիմնուած էր վէմի վրայ: Իսկ ո՛վ որ կը լսէ այս խօսքերս ու չի գործադրեր, կը նմանի յիմար մարդու մը՝ որ իր տունը կառուցանեց աւազի վրայ: Տեղատարափ անձրեւ իջաւ, հեղեղները եկան, հովերը փչեցին եւ զարկին այդ տան, ու փլաւ. եւ անոր անկումը մեծ եղաւ»: 5

Երբ Յիսուս լմնցուց այս խօսքերը, բազմութիւնը ապշած մնաց անոր ուսուցումին վրայ. որովհետեւ իշխանութիւն ունեցողի մը պէս կը սորվեցնէր անոնց, ո՛չ թէ դպիրներուն պէս: ԲԺՇԿՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Փարատէ՛ ցաւերը եւ բժշկէ՛ հիւանդութիւնները քու ժողովուրդէդ, Տէր Աստուած մեր եւ բոլորին կատարեալ առողջութի՛ւն շնորհէ` Քու ամենայաղթ խաչիդ նշանով, որուն միջոցով մարդկութեան տկարութիւնը վերցուցիր եւ դատապարտեցիր մեր կեանքի եւ փրկութեան թշնամին: Դուն ես մեր կեանքն ու փրկութիւնը, բարերար եւ բազումողորմ Աստուած. միայն Դո՛ւ կրնաս ներել մեր մեղքերը եւ մեզմէ հեռացնել ախտերն ու հիւանդութիւնները. Քեզի յայտնի են մեր կարիքները: Բարիքներ պարգեւող, առատ ողորմութիւնդ պարգեւէ՛ քու արարածներուդ՝ իւրաքանչիւրին ըստ իր պէտքին, որովհետեւ արարածներուդ միջոցով միշտ կը գովաբանուի Ամենասուրբ Երրորդութիւնդ. Այժմ եւ միշտ եւ յաւիտեանս յաւիտենից. ամէն: ՔԱՐՈԶ Սուրբ Խաչով Տիրոջը աղաչենք, որպէսզի սրանով փրկէ մեզ մեղքերէն եւ Իր ողորմութեան շնորհով պահէ մեզ: Ամենակալ Տէր Աստուած մեր, ապրեցու՛ր եւ ողորմէ՛: 6

ՊԱՀՊԱՆՈՒԹԵԱՆ ԱՂՕԹՔ Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա, Տէր ողորմեա: Պահպանիչ եւ հաւատացեալներու յոյս, Քրիստոս Աստուած մեր, պահէ պահպանէ եւ օրհնէ Հայոց ազգը եւ Հայաստանեայց Եկեղեցին. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

READING: FROM MADYAN VOGHPERKOUTYAN (NAREG) Prayer 36 Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart A No matter how great the mounting debt of my sins, the saving grace of your trials is greater by far.

You were nailed to the cross, the instrument of death, on your all-embracing creative hands, which hold all souls, so my disobedient hand might be stilled.

Out of compassion for my wantonness, you bound the motion of your two life-giving feet, so they might be pawned for my miserable feet, always racing toward brutishness.

B You did not order the hands of those who beat 8

your head to shrivel.

You, who could uproot the fig tree without effort.

This example gives me hope of reprieve.

You did not threaten me with the evil whipping that was your own lot, though you are proclaimed God. You who darkened the sun and grant rest with goodness to me a mortal.

You did not dry the evil mouth of those who cursed you, you who tinted the image of the moon with the color of blood, so you might strengthen my meek tongue to praise you.

You did not rebuke the wanton insultors, you who shook the very firmament, so you might anoint my miserable head with the oil of compassion.

You did not rip the jaws of the God-killer who called you a fanatic, charlatan, you who rent the hardness of the rocky tomb, so you might mercifully grant my soul, though it is incapable of goodness, a respite from the burden of emptiness.

You did not run the swords of the guards through their bowels, you who condemned the snake to slither on the ground, so you might preserve the bones of my tormented body, to be worthy of resurrection.

You flatten and thrust into the abyss, those who sealed the tomb upon the bearer of life, in order that you might rest the token of your light in the tomb of my soul.

You did not absolutely and for all generations strike down those who rumored your hand perished and 9

your body stolen like that of a mortal, so you might permit me, insignificant as I am, to partake of that goodness which neither perishes nor can be harmed, together with those chosen for salvation.

You did not turn into stone, as with Moab in days of old, your frenzied persecutors who twice stole silver bribes from the offerings in your Father’s sanctuary to betray and degrade you, so that you might set me upon the steadfastness of your rock.

Although I waver and am sold to the powers of death, I am redeemed by your blood.

You are blessed twice over and blessed again, praised in all things, forever and ever.

PRAYER Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy Help us, Lord. Help us, God our Savior, in accordance with the great glory of your name. Lord, save us and forgiue us our signs of your holy name. Keep and shelter those who have taken refuge in you and your people who rely the protection of our holy and venerable cross in peace. Save them from enemies visible and invisible. Make them worthy to worship you with the Father and Holy Spirit. Now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen: GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW: 7: 13- 29 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But 10

small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

" O beneficent and ab undantly merciful God, through thine unforgetting knowledge and infinite love of men be mindful of all that believe in thee and have mercy on all. Help us and deliver us from our several perils and trials. Make us worthy to give thee thanks and to glorify thee, the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen: LITANY By the Holy Cross let us beseech the Lord, that through it he may deliver us from our sins and save us by the grace of his mercy.

Almighty Lord our God, save us and have mercy upon us.
