Casa Myrna believes every relationship should be safe and healthy. Founded in 1977, we are Boston’s largest provider of shelter and support to survivors of domestic violence. Our comprehensive range of free services provides survivors with the resources, advocacy, and tools to safely recover from the trauma of abuse and build self-sufficiency and stability.

Each year, we support over 2,200 survivors through three residential programs, housing assistance, economic stability and job readiness skill building, counseling, legal representation and advocacy, children’s services, crisis intervention, and advocacy. We operate SafeLink, Massachusetts’ statewide 24/7 toll-free domestic violence hotline, answering over 33,000 calls annually. We promote domestic and dating violence prevention through awareness and education. If you or someone you know may be in an unhealthy or unsafe relationship, call us 24/7 at 1-877-785-2020.

C2C collects and distributes new and high-quality used children’s clothing and necessities. It sets a gold standard for individual, family, and corporate volunteer engagement, and through its “Giving Factories,” provides hands-on opportunities to directly help local families in the effort to end Clothing Insecurity. Crossroads Rhode Island About us:

Crossroads Rhode Island is the state’s leading provider of housing and supportive services for those experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to help those in need secure stable homes.

To meet the needs of our clients, we own and manage more than 370 apartments statewide, operate seven emergency shelters, and provide a specialized range of services including case management, basic needs provision, and education and employment training.

Thanks to you, our generous donors and funders, we provided more than 4,000 men, women, and children with shelter, housing, and supportive services in 2022, but the need is great and growing.

A critical shortage of affordable housing, rapidly escalating rents, and continued inflation have caused the number of people sleeping outside to increase an alarming 370 percent. The most vulnerable among us continue to struggle with poverty and housing instability.

As the state’s only developer of housing exclusively for this population, Crossroads is uniquely positioned to help address this challenge. Through a combination of public funding and private philanthropy, we are working to reduce homelessness in Rhode Island by creating nearly 300 permanent supportive apartments. Once complete in 2026, this will be the state’s single largest addition of housing for this population in decades.

Stable housing, sustained with sufficient income for basic needs and supportive services, is essential to helping individuals and families build

That’s where Doc Wayne Youth Services steps in. Since 2010, Doc Wayne has been devoted to supporting the mental well-being of young people in Greater Boston. Its coaches are professionally trained to provide group therapy sessions in school gyms, using sports as a means to teach crucial mental health skills. By using sports as a vehicle for therapy, Doc Wayne creates an environment that encourages kids to participate and receive the support they need.

About us: Since 2001, our nonprofit has pursued one mission: make life better for all in Boston’s iconic state park, the Charles River Esplanade. In partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, we steward 64-acres that were originally inhabited by the Massachusett, Wampanog, and Nipmuc peoples along the Quinobequin (“meandering”) River. Today we host 4 million visitors annually from across the City, Commonwealth, and globe. Our volunteer opportunities, improvement projects, and free horticultural, educational, recreational, and cultural programs sustain this vital greenspace and promote social connection, health, and joy. But we are ready to do more.

Get involved: Sharing space for peaceful gatherings is as important as ever. Let’s ensure the riverfront welcomes more inclusive, diverse, and dynamic experiences for all. Help us realize a once-in-a-generation improvement for the park: Charlesbank Landing on the Esplanade. This multi-million-dollar project, financed solely through donations, will transform two empty park acres into a welcoming “landing” for all ages and abilities. A year-round, universally accessible building and landscape will provide new amenities long sought-after and informed by public input: restrooms, reservable gathering rooms, Wi-Fi, café, a stage and arts, multipurpose sports courts, and nature play—all sustainably powered and designed amid bike and MBTA routes.
