Sneha Revanur Founder & President, Encode AI

BIOGRAPHY

Sneha Revanur is Founder and President of Encode AI, a US nonprofit that campaigns for AI safety legislation. She de‐ scribes AI as likely the most important transition in history: with the right guardrails it could benefit everyone, and with‐ out them it poses catastrophic risks. Because the technolo‐ gy is outpacing the policy cycle, Encode AI runs several campaigns at once across state capitals and Washington, taking what she calls creative, often experimental approach‐ es and accepting that not every one will succeed. From San Francisco she leads a 10-person team. Encode AI co-spon‐ sored California's SB 53, signed in September 2025, which also laid the groundwork for CalCompute, a public cloud computing cluster, and protects whistleblowers at AI labs. It campaigned for New York's RAISE Act, signed in December 2025, and helped pass Illinois' Artificial Intelligence Safety Measures Act in July 2026, the first state law to require annual independent audits of the largest AI developers' safety practices. Sneha founded the organization, then called Encode Justice, in July 2020 while in high school in San Jose, and led its first campaign, against California's Proposition 25, a

ballot measure that would have replaced cash bail with algo‐ rithmic risk assessments; voters rejected it. She grew the group into a network of about 900 high school and college members worldwide and later broadened its focus from AI in criminal justice and surveillance to catastrophic risks from advanced AI. In 2023 she was the youngest person named to TIME's inaugural TIME100 AI list, and in 2025 she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in AI. She has joined a White House roundtable on AI with Vice President Harris, at‐ tended the 2024 World Economic Forum in Davos and in‐ terned at the Center for AI and Digital Policy in Washington. Encode AI also co-sponsored SB 1047, SB 53's vetoed prede‐ cessor, and has built a coalition spanning conservative fami‐ ly groups, parent advocates, the entertainment industry and AI safety researchers; it faces opposition from anti-regula‐ tion groups backed by $125M. Sneha studied Symbolic Systems at Stanford University, having begun her undergraduate studies at Williams College.

BIOGRAPHY

Dan Griggs is Chief Financial Officer of Fin, the AI customer agent company formerly known as Intercom, where he leads the Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Business Systems, and Strategic Planning and Operations teams. More than 30k companies use Fin's products, its AI agent resolves more than 2M customer conversations a week, and the compa‐ ny has passed $400M in ARR. The company took the name of its Fin AI agent in May 2026, and in September 2026 Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin for approximately $3.6B. Much of Dan's career has centered on finance through busi‐ ness-model change: at Sitecore, the shift from perpetual li‐ censes to cloud subscriptions, and at Fin, the shift to an AI agent that customers pay for each time it resolves a conversa‐ tion. He joined Intercom in 2020 as its first CFO and has led fi‐ nance through the company's rebuild around the Fin agent,

launched in 2023. Before Intercom, Dan spent nearly six years at Sitecore, the digital experience software company, rising from VP of Financial Planning and Analysis to CFO in 2016. Sitecore doubled its revenue while completing its move to sub‐ scription software. Earlier, at advertising technology company Rocket Fuel (later acquired by Sizmek), he rose from Senior Manager to VP of Financial Planning and Analysis. There he built the FP&A function from the ground up as revenue grew from $45M to more than $400M and market capitalization passed $2B, through the company's IPO and a secondary offer‐ ing. He previously held finance roles at Nestlé, including its Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream business, and at AT&T. Dan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Davis and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

James Landay Denning Director, Stanford Institute for HumanCentered AI (HAI), Stanford University BIOGRAPHY James Landay is Denning Director of the Stanford Institute for HumanCentered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), which he co-founded in 2019, and the Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan Professor of Computer Science in Stanford's School of Engineering. In May 2026 Stanford merged HAI with the Stanford Data Science initiative under his leadership, combining HAI's network of more than 400 scholars, its industry affiliates program and $60M in cumulative grant funding with Stanford Data Science's Marlowe high-performance computing cluster. His stated priorities are AI and data science for discovery across fields, education and evidence-based research on AI's impact on society. HAI also publishes the annual AI Index. For three decades, Professor Landay's research has started from the people who use technology. In the 1990s he built SILK, software that turned hand-drawn sketches of app screens into clickable prototypes; Stanford calls it and his other early design tools forerunners of today’s design apps such as Figma and Canva. Stanford also describes UbiFit, a pager-sized activity tracker linked to an early smartphone that he developed with colleagues in the early 2000s, as a precursor to the

Fitbit and Apple Watch. Before joining Stanford in 2014, he spent a year helping launch Cornell Tech in New York City and a decade at the University of Washington, where he founded DUB, a cross-campus hu‐ man-computer interaction and design collaboration of 35 faculty. From 2003 to 2006 he directed Intel Labs Seattle, a ubiquitous-com‐ puting lab with a $6.5M annual budget. He began his faculty career at UC Berkeley in 1997 and in 1998 co-founded NetRaker, an online us‐ ability and market research company where he was CTO and Chief Scientist; Keynote Systems acquired it in 2004. Professor Landay is an ACM Fellow and a member of the ACM SIGCHI Academy, and he received the ACM SIGCHI Lifetime Research Award in 2024. He served six years on the National Science Foundation's CISE Advisory Committee and co-authored The Design of Sites, a book on customer-centered web design. Professor Landay holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS and PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Grey Baker General Partner, Y Combinator

BIOGRAPHY

Grey Baker is a General Partner at Y Combinator, where he se‐ lects, advises and backs founders across YC’s four batches a year. YC has invested in more than 5k companies since 2005, which together are valued at more than $1T. Grey was named General Partner in June 2026 after working with founders across several of YC's batches as a Visiting Partner, a role he took up in October 2025. Grey has spent his career building software that takes repeti‐ tive, error-prone work off professionals' hands. He co-founded Pincites, an AI contract-review and redlining tool for Microsoft Word used by teams at Redis, Glean and Vercel. It went through YC's Summer 2023 batch and, after bids from several legal AI unicorns, was acquired by Filevine in December 2025. Earlier, he co-founded Dependabot, an automated dependen‐ cy-update tool now used by more than a million people, and joined GitHub when it acquired the company in 2019. At GitHub,

where he stayed until 2023, Grey rose from Director to VP of Product and led product for security tools including code scan‐ ning, launched in 2020 on the CodeQL engine GitHub gained through its 2019 acquisition of Semmle. His portfolio included GitHub Advanced Security, which grew to $140M in annual re‐ curring revenue. Dependabot began in 2017 as a side project after Grey returned from cycling 29,000 km around the world. Before that, he was employee #3 at GoCardless (YC Summer 2011), where he led product and engineering as the company grew past 100 people. He began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Grey holds a BA in Mathematics and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, where he graduated first in his MPhil year and won the Stevenson Prize.
