Letter from Editor “Still I Rise” is one of my favorite poems by American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Award winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams also has a powerful song titled “Still I Rise”. This is the sentiment of those who are survivors. The year 2020 has reminded us globally that everyday isn’t promised and that we must work together to see a better situation. The global pandemic has shaken us to the core and no man, woman or child can say “Covid-19 didn’t affect me”. From school closing, job loss, and even death. We have all been affected. We are resilient and we are survivors. The year 2021 has challenged us to think outside the box. Parents have become teachers and working from home is now the new normal. Temperature checks, masks hand sanitizer is life as we know it. The country is slowly and cautiously opening up to get some since of normalcy. Together as survivors the hope still remains true. Still I Rise, Still I Rise, Still We Rise!
