TRACY WOOD on the Power of Knowing YOUR GENETIC PROFILE
BY MICHELE HUGHES
CEO Ageless and Timeless and host of the Ageless and Timeless podcast
Tracy Wood, CPC, Eli-MP, HHA – Tracy Wood, a serial entrepreneur, is the founder of several successful healthcare projects in the U.S.
Tracy began her career in the telecommunications industry during the era of deregulation, where she successfully built and sold two long-distance reselling companies, which were later acquired by MCIWorldCom. Around the same time, the Internet boom was taking off, opening up new opportunities across the tech landscape. In an effort to stay at the top of her field, Tracy completed certification courses, including Cisco CCNA/CCDA, GTEU, and Frame Relay, among others. This later enabled her to position herself among the elite Major Account Managers at General Telephone. In 1996, Tracy became the top-producing MAM at GTE nationwide, holding the top spot for 16 consecutive months. She then won the coveted President’s Club award. Tracy was recruited over the next ten years by the biggest and best in
network sales, where she excelled, reaching the Presidents’ Clubs and achieving first place in the stack rankings with each employer.
In 2004, Tracy’s eldest child received a life-changing diagnosis. Watching what happened to her daughter was gut-wrenching. Dealing with hospitals, insurance companies, and administrators, who couldn’t care less whether her daughter lived or died, was a huge source of anger and hurt for her and her family. Tracy felt she needed to be closer to home in order to spend more time with her children. As such, she obtained her real estate license and subsequently became a licensed broker.
On February 3, 2007, Tracy’s beloved sister, Jackie Whittet, died from a prescription drug overdose, leaving Tracy devastated. At just 45 years old, Jackie faced the worst possible circumstances to be a patient in America in 2007: she was poor, living with schizophrenia, and had a history of delusional disorders.
The death gutted the family. No one could get answers until long after the Orange County Coroner stepped in and demanded a full investigation. It took six months to establish that Jackie had died of a drug overdose— however, not from heroin or other popular street drugs, but rather the combination of new drugs for schizophrenia and doctor-prescribed pain medication.
Jackie was a true casualty of a major failure in healthcare. She had seen the same psychiatrist for five years. The doctor knew she was delusional and schizophrenic, as he had diagnosed her in 2002. She told him she had cancer and was often booked months out to see an oncologist. Although he had no corroboration, the psychiatrist wrote the prescriptions for her pain medication and tranquilizers for five years, increasing the dosage and pill count regularly. The UCI doctor never once checked in his network’s electronic medical record system to validate her cancer. That deliberate and willful neglect on the part of the practitioner cost Jackie her life.
The unimaginable depth and level of pain from her sister’s death drove Tracy into the healthcare space. Tracy recognized that the need for a significant disruption in healthcare was long overdue.
In 2009, Tracy designed the concept and business plan for How2Connect.com. This project was the first private therapy portal built during the telemedicine explosion. As the idea and regulations evolved, H2C and the wellness model that emerged from H2C underwent changes.
Reimagining the space and offerings in the market, Tracy conceptualized, designed the topology, funded, and brought to market what became internationally known as Acute Care Triage, or ACT. ACT was a leading nurse triage network with a “Phone-a-physician” plugged in for telehealth. What made the ACT model unique was its international reach, with doctors practicing in 18 countries. The key caveat was that these practitioners were functionally trained. They were allopathic doctors, but they approached medicine with a functional mindset. This idea was a game-changer.
In 2016, with the development of her concierge team, the relationships she had fostered over the years, and the fundamental premise that all Americans have the right to affordable healthcare, Tracy ventured into administration for an up-and-coming HealthShare company, ROLA. At ROLA, “Reverse and Prevent” was the mantra. Educating people who were locked into a sickness-based model and guiding them onto a wellnesscentric track, utilizing the right food, fitness, and faith, became the core ideology of ROLA.
In 2022, Tracy and her partners merged ROLA into The DNA Company, Inc. Tracy’s initial role was that of
the Chief Operating Officer. At first blush, The DNA Company had a secret sauce that Tracy knew they could weaponize in the battle for health and longevity in America.
Tracy has thus far developed all of The DNA Company, Inc.’s mobile primary care system, the virtual clinic, a fully staffed concierge team, and drafted the precision health model.
In July 2023, Tracy accepted the position of CEO for The DNA Company- US, Inc. Through her international contacts in technology development, Electronic Medical Records systems, and healthcare, Tracy helped envision and design the Apps, rebuilding the site, and the distribution network through which The DNA Company, Inc. delivers its services.
The company has since developed a media arm for the He Summits and She Summits that Tracy envisioned, providing the global community with fair and affordable access to exceptional functional genomic and wellness education, and delivering the actions that they themselves can use to live their best life.

IMMERSIVE BIOHACKING EXPERIENCES TRANSFORMING MIAMI’S HEALTH CULTURE
AN INTERVIEW WITH MARIE SOPHIE BAIER, CO-FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF
BIOHACK MIAMI
BY ERIC STOLLER | JULY 2025 | LONGEVITY, WELLNESS, CREATIVE DIRECTION
“This is an immersive biohacking experience that is transforming Miami’s health culture,” that’s how Marie Sophie Baier, the 26-year-old founder and creative director of Biohack Miami, explains the vision behind what has become one of Miami’s most talked-about wellness activations.
“Biohack Miami doesn’t help you to feel healthier – we’re creating an experience so you can understand your body, reconnect with yourself, and ultimately learn how to help yourself.”
Each month, Biohack Miami brings together doctors, med-spas, beauty clinics, top instructors, developers, and wellness enthusiasts. Guests move between cold plunges and IV therapy, try polyphenol-rich olive oils and omega-3-rich caviar, flow through rooftop yoga and breathwork classes — all while engaging with sciencebacked treatments and technologies typically found in elite medical clinics.
“Miami doesn’t need another health expo or wellness event,” said Marie Sophie Baier. “The market is saturated, and that’s why we wanted to create something truly unique and different.”
Biohack Miami isn’t a traditional wellness event filled with yoga mats and green juice, but it’s not a sterile medical expo either. It’s a hybrid — a curated experience that brings together science-backed treatments from Europe and the U.S., layered with live entertainment and a DJ.
“I’m from Germany, so clinical-grade technology and real results matter to me,” Marie Sophie explained. “We bring in treatments from Europe, from top regenerative clinics, and make them accessible, but also fun because we want people to actually engage; to come, stay, learn, and feel something real.”
One of those treatments is IHHT — Intermittent Hypoxic-Hyperoxic
Training, a modality first developed in Germany. Often referred to as “cellular gymnastics,” IHHT simulates changes in altitude to strengthen mitochondria, improve cellular energy production, and enhance metabolic resilience. It’s typically used in elite clinics, but Biohack Miami makes it available in an environment where guests can try it without intimidation or pressure.
WHAT HAPPENS AT BIOHACK MIAMI?
At Biohack Miami, you can try a red-light therapy session, then move into a rooftop sculpt class or sound healing circle — all while learning about brainwave stimulation, IV optimization, or how your skin responds to hydrogen therapy.
Every edition features a rotating theme and a fresh set of experiences — but the fundamentals remain:
• 6 guided classes (yoga, sound healing, breathwork, and sculpt).
• 15+ vendors and practitioners offering biohacking & longevity treatments.
• Access to advanced diagnostics and high-end medical tools.
• A VIP Lounge with curated caviar tastings, IV infusions, Cryofacials, microcurrent therapy, massages, violin performances, and more.
“It’s not about pushing products,” Marie Sophie explained. “It’s about helping people understand their own body. We bring awareness, and then selling the tools happens naturally.
THE FUTURE IS WEARABLE!
In one of Biohack Miami’s standout editions, the team partnered with Miami Swim Week – The Shows to debut a rooftop fashion show featuring collections by Jessica Bara and CioccolatoCouture. The event served as a pre-activation to the official Swim Week calendar and marked a new chapter for both industries — one where health and fashion walk side by side.
“Longevity is going to influence everything, from what we wear to how we design cities,” said Marie Sophie. “Fashion has a role in that future too.”
This edition also featured a live violin performance by world-renowned musician Marki Lucky, a curated VIP caviar experience (with benefits for brain, skin, and heart), and full-body access to science-backed wellness treatments — all set against the backdrop of the Miami skyline.
Captured by Getty Images and World Red Eye, the evening offered a glimpse into the future of what wellness culture can look like when it’s merged with fashion, performance, and deep intention.
THE PEOPLE AND BRANDS BEHIND IT ALL
What makes Biohack Miami work is its layered curation — a mix of health tech, performance therapies, and lifestyle medicine. Some of the world’s most forwardthinking wellness brands and physicians now collaborate with the platform.
Biohack Miami’s partner ecosystem reflects a high standard of innovation, credibility, and intentional curation. Participating brands have included:
Standout collaborators include The Elser Hotel, whose two-story rooftop fitness and recovery complex hosts each edition; NeuroReform Clinics, introducing AI-powered neurostimulation for chronic pain and brain performance; Centner Wellness, known for bringing European-grade treatments like Shiftwave Therapy and PureVEMI beds; KRU Lab Performance, offering expert chiropractic care, dry needling, and performance therapy led by Dr. Kyle Krupa.
Other groundbreaking contributors include MY IV Spa (cellular-level infusion therapy), KOV Cryo (full-body cryotherapy and metabolic reset), Sparta Life (advanced red light and shockwave therapy), UltraSlim USA (noninvasive fat loss and skin tightening), and Lifemed Regenerative (cupping, electrostimulation, and hormone optimization).
Functional nutrition and bioavailable supplementation are supported by partners like Vignoli Food (polyphenol-rich, award-winning olive oils), Healthspan Method, and SproutzFoods. The aesthetics side is led by Zero Gravity Skin, Dr. Peter Michael, and Skin Sports Society. Many treatments offered at Biohack Miami — such as Axiom H2 Hydrogen Therapy, Class IV Cold Laser, BrainTap Neurotherapy, and EMS body training — are typically found only in elite clinics.
In addition, Eric Stoller of Champion Mindset Events hosts wellness conferences and brought technology from their Longevity Lounge, including the SunPowerLED red light transcranial helmet, Oxygen Health Systems hyperbaric chambers, AmpCoil, Relax Infrared Saunas, and several other innovative devices. Eric is also the host of the Man on a Mission podcast, where he shares his health journey—including how he lost over 100 pounds in just 17 months. Now, with the launch of THE BIOHACKING Channel and Show, Eric has become a leading voice in the wellness space. He also serves as the voice of TopDoctor Magazine, the country’s leading regenerative medicine magazine for medical and wellness professionals.
THE DESIGNER BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
With a background in creative strategy and art direction, Marie Sophie Baier’s vision shapes every layer of Biohack Miami, from the visual language on social media to the flow of the venue, the lighting, the pacing, the layout, and even the caviar brand featured in the VIP Lounge.
“Design is what makes people feel safe enough to explore,” she said. “If something is beautifully organized and intuitive, people stay longer. They engage. They remember how it made them feel.”
Marie Sophie was involved in the production of more than 60 wellness and fashion events, including creative co-productions with Miami Swim Week – The Shows, collaborations with the Mondrian Hotel, and branded experiences that now attract international attention. Biohack Miami is more than a passion project — it’s a living case study of her creativity, cultural insight, and ability to design transformative experiences that resonate across industries.
WHAT’S NEXT
With growing demand and international attention, Marie Sophie Baier is already looking beyond Miami. She’s currently exploring global expansion, media collaborations, and high-level partnerships, including opportunities like the Zenos Health Summit in Saudi Arabia, a country she has visited multiple times and sees as a rising leader in future-forward wellness.
Marie Sophie is also building bridges with Japanese innovators in anti-aging and longevity, aiming to introduce technologies not yet available in the U.S. Her passion for travel fuels this work — constantly sourcing, testing, and curating the most effective treatments around the world.
“Health is deeply personal to me. I love to spend time traveling, learning, and experimenting to understand what really works — not just in theory, but in real life. Biohack Miami is built on that journey — it’s my way of translating what I’ve found from different cultures.”
Her long-term vision? To create spaces around the world where longevity is not only personalized — but also joyful, accessible, and designed to last.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Biohack Miami is not a conference. It’s not a clinic. It’s not a festival. It’s a living ecosystem — where doctors, athletes, creatives, and curious humans gather to explore how we can all live better, longer, and more beautifully.

From Maine’s Shores to Tables Nationwide Mark Murrell’s Unwavering Pursuit of the Perfect Lobster Experience
By Riley George
Mark Murrell, who grew up in Maine and now proudly calls it home, has revolutionized how people across the United States experience fresh, high-quality lobster. What began as a curious observation during his marketing consulting days in Chicago has blossomed into Get Maine Lobster, a company synonymous with exceptional seafood and an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction. His journey is a vibrant tapestry woven with entrepreneurial spirit, a deep understanding of quality, and a genuine desire to connect people through memorable culinary moments.
The Spark: A Mainer’s Revelation in the Midwest
Growing up in Maine, lobster was a familiar “celebratory food” for Murrell, its prevalence making it almost commonplace. It wasn’t until he ventured to Chicago as a marketing consultant, immersed in a diverse client portfolio, that the true value and scarcity of fresh, authentic Get Maine Lobster outside its native waters truly struck him.
“When I was in Chicago, people were always asking me about lobster,” Murrell recalled. “Then I would see lobsters in a grocery store tank, and I
couldn’t help thinking that the tanks didn’t look clean.”
This stark contrast between the pristine, readily available lobster of his home state and the often questionable, overpriced options elsewhere ignited a pivotal question: “How fresh is that lobster that I’m paying a tremendous amount for?”
The catalyst for Get Maine Lobster arrived in 2009 during a visit home. A friend who was a local fish shop owner approached Murrell with an idea to sell lobsters online. Murrell’s subsequent research confirmed a burgeoning demand for direct lobster delivery, coupled with a notable lack of companies effectively meeting this demand. He saw a clear opportunity.
However, Murrell’s business acumen, honed by years in consulting, immediately identified a crucial gap: customer service.
He emphasized to his friend, “When you ship lobster to Donna in Des Moines, Iowa, and she opens a box of live lobsters and needs help, you’d better have someone ready to answer the phone when she calls.”
When his friend demurred, Murrell stepped forward.
“I’m not afraid of figuring out the messy details that keep a business running, succeeding, and leaving customers satisfied. I’ve always enjoyed that part of the business,” he stated, offering to launch the company himself while his friend handled fulfillment. This foundational commitment to the customer would become the bedrock of Get Maine Lobster.
From Apartment Startup to Industry Leader: A Journey of Growth
Initially operating out of his Chicago apartment, Murrell’s nascent lobster delivery service quickly outgrew its initial fulfillment partner within a mere eight months. This rapid expansion continued, necessitating a series of new partnerships as the business scaled. Ultimately, the undeniable success of Get Maine Lobster prompted Murrell to make a significant life change: he moved back to his beloved home state.
Murrell humbly described his entry into the lobster business as a fortunate stumble into an unexpected yet deeply rewarding career. He views his entrepreneurial endeavor as a natural evolution of his consulting days—identifying a widespread problem (the quest for truly fresh lobster) and devising an effective solution. His diverse educational background, encompassing degrees in hospitality, creative writing, and an MBA in sustainable business, provides a unique blend of skills that underpins his holistic approach to the business.
“I love the customer service side of things,” he reiterated, underscoring the core value that sets Get Maine Lobster apart. “Anyone can sell lobster, but not everyone can make customers feel seen and taken care of. It’s about being there when they call, answering their questions, and making sure they feel confident every step of the way.”
The Art of Freshness: Obsessing Over Every Detail
At the heart of Get Maine Lobster’s success is Murrell’s unwavering, almost obsessive commitment to delivering the freshest, highest-quality product. This dedication manifested in a meticulous, multi-layered approach to quality control.
“The first thing I did was find the right partner,” he explained. “They needed to have high standards for sourcing, handling, and a thorough quality assurance process.”
Murrell applied lessons learned from a previous client who supplied filet mignon to airlines, where consistency was paramount. This principle of uniformity extended to his lobster products. When inspecting orders, Murrell ensured that, for instance, if a customer ordered four lobster tails, they were equal in size, and all the fins were intact. He stressed that “what it looks like is just as important as anything else.”
For live lobsters, sourcing was critical. Get Maine Lobster procured from the “northern part of the state, where the waters are incredibly clean,” collaborating with fishermen who would venture into deep, ice-cold water. This process ensured the lobsters were livelier and better prepared for their journey across the country. Get Maine Lobster sources lobster tails from processors who use liquid nitrogen freezing, a cutting-edge technique that rapidly freezes lobster at its peak freshness while preserving its flavor, texture, and moisture. This method creates tiny ice crystals that protect the lobster’s cellular structure, ensuring it tastes and feels like it was just caught when it reaches your table.
He steadfastly avoids processes like High-Pressure Processing (HPP), which he believes compromises the delicacy and quality of the meat. This unwavering commitment to quality at every stage, combined with a philosophy of “being generous with your knowledge” and fostering cooperative relationships with industry peers, has allowed Get Maine Lobster to partner with the best processors in the world.
The Luxury of Lobster: Catering to Discerning Tastes
Get Maine Lobster serves a broad customer base, but Murrell has observed a striking trend: medical professionals are among his most frequent and loyal clients.
“Half of our top fifteen customers of all-time are medical professionals,” he revealed.
Murrell theorized that busy doctors, who often have demanding careers and substantial incomes, tend to seek both convenience and a welldeserved reward.
“Medical professionals work hard and often don’t have time to run to the store to find high-quality food,” he mused. “I can picture them thinking, ‘I want the good stuff. I want it on the weekend, I don’t feel like going out, and I don’t care what it costs.’”
This demographic values the ease of having premium, restaurant-quality seafood delivered directly to their doorstep. Beyond convenience, Murrell highlighted lobster’s favorable nutritional profile.
“It offers great macros compared to other animal proteins,” he said. “It’s low in calories, low in fat, and high in protein.” For professionals seeking healthy yet indulgent options, it’s an ideal choice. Lawyers and “blue-collar business owners” also feature prominently in his customer base. These individuals often use Get Maine Lobster for entertaining guests, serving as a symbol of their success and generosity.
While lobster tails, lobster rolls, and live lobsters are the mainstays, Murrell prides himself on fulfilling unique customer requests, with products like whole squid, demonstrating his dedication to bespoke service.
The Miracle, The Future, and The Human Connection
Murrell spoke with profound respect for the lobster’s journey, describing its arrival on a plate as a “miracle.” He pointed to the astonishing odds against a lobster surviving to legal weight—a mere 0.4% of eggs— and the many years it takes for larger specimens to mature. This deep appreciation for the rarity of the product has even led him to conceptualize a “rarity chart” for lobsters, akin to diamond grading, to help customers truly grasp the unique value of their purchase.
“You’re lucky even to have the chance to buy this lobster,” Murrell said, emphasizing how special each catch is. “The odds of a lobster surviving
long enough to reach legal catching size are incredibly low, which makes every one of them something rare.”
Looking ahead, Murrell envisions Get Maine Lobster continuing to innovate, particularly in creating more accessible and elegant at-home dining experiences he terms “modern Sunday supper.” He’s developing “ready to sous vide” product lines, featuring pre-cooked, cleaned, and picked whole lobsters with compound butter, designed for effortless preparation.
“I’m never gonna sell cheap lobster. What I can do is show you massive value by working hard to make it so that you can enjoy that experience at home, impress your guests, and create lasting memories,” he declared.
He aims to forge partnerships with chefs and embrace “food tech” to continually innovate, all with the overarching goal of fostering connections.
“I want people to gather more and make lasting relationships around good, quality food,” he stated, viewing amazing food experiences as a powerful catalyst for this.
Mark Murrell’s deep dedication to customer experience and providing truly exceptional lobster has driven Get Maine Lobster’s success, even through demanding periods like the 600 percent growth the company experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every order reflects Murrell’s commitment to delivering the freshest, highest-quality lobster while ensuring customers feel supported every step of the way.
Notably, Get Maine Lobster operates from Maine’s first commercial wharf, built in the 1700s, grounding its mission in the state’s rich maritime heritage. This connection to Maine’s working waterfront is more than a backdrop; it is a promise that every lobster you receive is part of a tradition of quality and care.

Phil Daru isn’t just transforming bodies; he’s reshaping the entire landscape of performance training. With a deep respect for the athlete’s journey and a relentless drive to evolve his craft, his legacy is already cemented among the greats.
1. CAN YOU SHARE YOUR JOURNEY INTO THE WORLD OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING? WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A COACH?
I started as an athlete myself, competing in football and later transitioning into professional MMA. I learned quickly that if I wanted to compete at the highest level, I had to understand how to train properly, recover effectively, and build real, transferable strength. Over time, I became obsessed with human performance. When I stopped fighting, coaching was a natural evolution. I wanted to give athletes what I didn’t always have: a system that actually prepares you for the demands of your sport and life. That mission became Daru Strong.
2. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT STRENGTH TRAINING THAT YOU ENCOUNTER AMONG ATHLETES AND FITNESS ENTHUSIASTS?
The biggest one is that strength training makes you slow or bulky, especially in sports like MMA. Another is thinking more is always better; more volume, more weight, more soreness. That’s not training smart, that’s ego. True strength and performance come from proper intent, recovery, movement quality, and programming with purpose. It’s not just about how hard you go, it’s about how well you adapt.
3. HOW DO YOU TAILOR YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS TO MEET THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN COMBAT SPORTS?
Every athlete is different. I look at their sport demands, training age, injury history, movement quality, and even their stress and sleep data. We start by building a strong foundation of movement and capacity, then layer on explosive power, speed, and sport-specific energy system work. Fighters are hybrid athletes—they need strength, power, endurance, and durability. Our programs are built with that in mind: concurrent, conjugate-based, and periodized around their fight camp or season.
4. COLLABORATION WITH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IS CRUCIAL FOR AN ATHLETE’S WELL-BEING. HOW DO YOU WORK WITH DOCTORS TO ENSURE YOUR ATHLETES’ HEALTH AND PERFORMANCE ARE OPTIMIZED?
It’s a team effort. I regularly coordinate with doctors, physical therapists, and even mental performance coaches. Whether it’s reviewing blood panels, discussing injury rehab, or modifying training based on lab markers, we stay in communication. The goal is to build high-performing athletes who can sustain success, not just peak for one moment.
5. BLOOD WORK CAN PROVIDE VALUABLE INSIGHTS INTO AN ATHLETE’S HEALTH. HOW DO YOU INCORPORATE BLOOD WORK RESULTS INTO YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS?
Blood work helps us go beneath the surface. It tells us how the athlete is truly adapting, not just physically, but hormonally, immunologically, and metabolically. If I see low testosterone or high cortisol, we dial back intensity or add recovery tools. If vitamin D, ferritin, or thyroid levels are off, we work with our nutritionist and physician to address them. Data drives decisions, and blood work is a key piece of that puzzle.
6. WHAT SPECIFIC MARKERS DO YOU FIND MOST IMPORTANT IN ATHLETES’ BLOOD WORK, AND HOW DO THEY INFLUENCE YOUR TRAINING STRATEGIES?
The testosterone to cortisol ratio is a big one, showing whether the athlete is in an anabolic or catabolic state. I also look closely at hs-CRP and homocysteine for inflammation, ferritin for oxygen capacity, thyroid markers for metabolism, and fasting insulin for recovery and energy regulation. If these markers are off, we’ll adjust the training intensity, volume, and focus more on recovery, nutrition, and sleep protocols.
7. IN YOUR EXPERIENCE, HOW DOES PROPER NUTRITION COMPLEMENT STRENGTH TRAINING, AND WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE ATHLETES REGARDING THEIR DIETARY HABITS?
Nutrition is foundational. You can’t out-train poor recovery or a broken diet. Food is fuel, but also information, telling the body how to function. I preach nutrient density, protein sufficiency, and strategic carbohydrate timing around training. I also stress hydration, minerals, and gut health. We use blood work and symptom logs to fine-tune everything. You want to feel good, recover fast, and perform consistently? It starts in the kitchen.
8. CAN YOU DESCRIBE A PARTICULARLY CHALLENGING CASE YOU’VE ENCOUNTERED WHILE TRAINING AN ATHLETE AND HOW YOU OVERCAME IT?
One case that stands out is a fighter who came in post-surgery with significant imbalances, chronic fatigue, and mental burnout. We couldn’t train hard at first and had to rebuild from the ground up through mobility, breathwork, cardiac output, and basic GPP. Gradually, we reintroduced strength and power once the metrics aligned. It took patience and trust. A year later, he was back in the cage and looked better than ever. Sometimes the best progress starts with pulling back, not pushing harder.
9. WHAT ROLE DOES MENTAL RESILIENCE PLAY IN AN ATHLETE’S PERFORMANCE, AND HOW DO YOU HELP THEM DEVELOP THIS ASPECT DURING TRAINING?
It’s everything. You can have all the physical talent in the world, but if your mind breaks under pressure, none of it matters. We build mental resilience through controlled adversity, like sled pushes, alactic intervals, and fatigue drills that mimic competition. I also emphasize breathing, journaling, and routine. We train the body to be strong, but we also train the mind to stay calm, focused, and unshakeable.
10. LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT INNOVATIONS OR TRENDS DO YOU FORESEE SHAPING THE FUTURE
OF STRENGTH TRAINING AND ATHLETE PERFORMANCE
ENHANCEMENT?
The future is going to be even more data-driven and integrated: wearables, AI, personalized blood testing, and real-time recovery monitoring. These tools will give coaches and athletes the edge. But tech alone isn’t enough. We need people who know how to interpret it and apply it.
Also, mental performance and breathwork are gaining the respect they deserve. The more we understand the nervous system, the more precise we can be in training adaptation. The key is staying ahead, while always remembering that consistency, effort, and coaching still matter most.

UNLOCKING HEALING POTENTIAL
DR. WILLIAM DE BOARD’S HOLISTIC APPROACH
TO
HEALTH
AT EPIC SPINE SOLUTIONS
BY RILEY GEORGE
In the bustling landscape of Southern California, Dr. William De Board stands out as a chiropractor deeply committed to unlocking his patients’ full healing potential. At Epic Spine Solutions, with locations in Laguna Niguel and Westwood, Dr. De Board employs a unique, holistic methodology that goes far beyond conventional chiropractic adjustments, addressing not just physical ailments but also the intricate interplay of nutrition, mind-body connection, and energy flow.
Dr. De Board’s passion for healing stems from a personal experience that redirected his path from aspiring athlete to dedicated doctor. His story offers a compelling glimpse into the philosophy that drives his innovative practice.
A PERSONAL JOURNEY TO HOLISTIC HEALING
Dr. De Board’s decision to pursue a career in chiropractic care was deeply influenced by a pivotal moment during his youth as a passionate basketball and tennis player. At just 15 years old, a pop in his shoulder during a tennis serve left him in excruciating pain and unable to lift his arm. Faced with the prospect of surgery at a young age, he sought alternative solutions.
“A lot of medical doctors were saying I would need surgery, but I didn’t really like that answer because I was so young,” Dr. De Board recalled.
His search led him to a holistic chiropractor who utilized a technique similar to what he practices today. The results were astounding.
“In just three visits, my holistic chiropractor had me back out on the court playing again, with no pain. It was crazy how quickly I saw results, and I knew I wanted to be able to help athletes with similar injuries,” he shared.
This transformative experience became the bedrock of his professional mission.
BEYOND THE ADJUSTMENT: A FOUR-PILLAR APPROACH
Dr. De Board’s practice at Epic Spine Solutions challenges the common perception of chiropractic care as a quick fix.
His appointments are typically 30 minutes long, allowing for a comprehensive application of his “Eastern medicine style” technique, which evaluates the body across four different planes. This holistic approach is built upon four interconnected pillars.
The first pillar is structure. This encompasses the physical components of the body, including joints, muscles, and their alignment.
The next pillar is nutrition. Dr. De Board emphasized the profound connection between organs and muscles, explaining that every muscle in the body is linked to a specific organ.
“For example, the psoas is connected to the kidney, the TFL to the large intestine, and the lats to the spleen or pancreas,” he explained.
The third pillar is the mind-body connection. This is Dr. De Board’s favored area of focus due to his intuitive nature. Utilizing Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), he delves into the subconscious to address deep-seated issues.
“I can help with something as simple as a golfer getting the yips on hole thirteen,” he noted. “We can explore why it’s happening, then visualize him confidently sinking his putt on thirteen, and adjust as he pictures it going in.” This same technique can also help patients process deeper traumas, allowing them to “release it and address the subconscious, so it becomes just a story, rather than something they continue to carry.”
The final pillar is moving energy. This ensures that the body’s energy flows freely, identifying and clearing any blocks or stuck energy anywhere that might impede healing and optimal function.
A DEEPER DIVE INTO NEURO EMOTIONAL TECHNIQUE (NET)
The Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a core component of Dr. De Board’s mind-body work. He explained that each organ system is associated with specific emotions. By asking the body targeted questions and using muscle testing, he is able to dive into the subconscious and understand why deep pains aren’t healing
properly. This allows him to pinpoint underlying emotional issues that manifest as physical discomfort, even if the patient is consciously unaware of them.
TREATING THE “HARD CASES” AND HIGH-PROFILE PATIENTS
Dr. De Board primarily treats athletes, especially “overhead athletes,” and individuals who have experienced significant trauma or chronic conditions that other practitioners have failed to resolve.
“I get a lot of cases that other doctors haven’t been able to resolve for their patients,” he noted. “That was true for me when I was in school, and continues now that I’m in practice. I like puzzles, and when patients come with hard cases, it excites me at the prospect of being able to help.”
With two thriving offices—one in Laguna Niguel and another in Westwood near UCLA—Dr. De Board has found himself working with more high-profile individuals over time. He expressed enthusiasm for working with professional athletes, finding it supercharges him to help individuals performing at the highest levels.
“I do enjoy treating athletes and people who have a broader reach,” he said. “It feels meaningful to help people who can then help and influence others.”
Still, he admitted that word about his work often spreads quietly. “It sometimes feels like I’m a bit of a secret,” he explained. “Athletes will keep coming to me, but they don’t always want to tell their competitors. So, I just stay under the radar.”
He hopes to eventually attract collegiate athletes, envisioning helping California excel on a national level. “Working with college athletes and being part of their success would be amazing,” he enthusiastically remarked.
At his Westwood location, Dr. De Board collaborates with Jimmy Bluff, a renowned “muscle therapist,” whose hands-on approach complements Dr. De Board’s holistic methods, particularly for challenging cases. Jimmy Bluff has built his technique of Advanced Muscle Reconstruction over the years and has also coined the phrase “surgery without the knife” for the conditions that he helps to treat.
A DOCTOR’S IDEAL PATIENT AND ASPIRATIONS
Dr. De Board’s ideal patient isn’t defined by age or background but by one key trait: a genuine desire to get better. “I want to help people who want their condition to change—who are ready to stop carrying it and want to see it resolved,” he said. He thrives on working with individuals who are ready and willing to embark on their healing journey.
While currently focused on his two clinics, Dr. De Board is open to expanding his reach.
“I never set out to expand my practice, but it seemed to be a necessary and exciting next step,” he said of growing the practice to offer multiple locations. His ultimate goal is to “spread the technique and help more people,” whether through a national brand or by making the technique more accessible in various locations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A BLEND OF EAST AND WEST
Dr. De Board’s academic foundation began with a degree in Kinesiology from Point Loma Nazarene University, giving him a strong understanding of the body in motion, and where he continued to play tennis for the team there. He then earned his chiropractic doctorate from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, a school known for training exceptional practitioners.
Reflecting on his education, he remarked, “They focus on data, which definitely helps ground you in big science. I’d say I have the best of both worlds—I understand what Western medicine can do, but I also view things through an Eastern lens.”
His introduction to Eastern medicine started with a holistic chiropractor who helped heal his shoulder, and his personal experience with acupuncture further deepened it. He values the wisdom of these ancient practices: “Eastern medicine is much older than Western, and I think ignoring it would be foolish.”
While he doesn’t perform acupuncture himself, his applied kinesiology technique incorporates elements of Eastern medicine, allowing him to test the organs through meridian points on the body.
A MOST MEMORABLE CASE: THE POWER OF EMOTIONAL RELEASE
One of Dr. De Board’s most impactful cases as a young doctor involved an engineer suffering from chronic migraines. Despite her high functional capacity, her condition severely limited her. Through muscle testing, Dr. De Board discovered an emotional root: an ice-skating accident where she hit her head but “held in her scream” to avoid frightening the people around her.
He guided her through a visualization exercise, instructing her to “picture the whole incident. Tell me right when you hit the ice.” As he adjusted her occiput, he recalled she started shivering on the table as if she was back on the ice and her body was going through the emotion, and finally letting her cry and let out those negative emotions. This profound emotional release drastically reduced her pain and allowed her to resume her full work capacity.
“That case is one of the most fond memories I have of being a doctor,” he stated.
Another complex case involved a child with a “choppy gait” after a bike accident. Through visualization and techniques to “reorganize” and reconnect the brain’s hemispheres, the child’s movement significantly improved. This involved activating
different body parts through specific brain activities, such as humming for the right brain and counting for the left, and then tapping areas of the brain to reconnect them.
“This case was extremely complex. It wasn’t just one issue, and I had to use all four pillars of my approach to help this child get better,” he explained.
FAMILY, HOBBIES, AND FUTURE ASPIRATIONS
Outside of his demanding practice, Dr. De Board cherishes time with his family. “I’m really big on family,” he shared. “I love my amazing wife, Lupita De Board. She has such a big heart for people and family in general.”
They have two young daughters: one four and the other two, both of whom love being in and around the water. Dr. De Board explained that his ultimate hope is that his kids will grow up to be even better than he is—and “they’re well on their way.”
The family enjoys spending time at the pool, often setting up an inflatable projector to play games. Dr. De Board himself is a fan of strategy board games, while Lupita, a talented Latina sign language interpreter fluent in four languages, brings warmth and connection to every setting.
Dr. De Board also hopes to engage in more philanthropic work, especially since one of his daughters has a speech delay. “I definitely have a soft spot for kids,” he said, noting this as a direction for future community involvement.
CONCLUSION: A COMPASSIONATE HEALER’S ENDURING IMPACT
Dr. William De Board’s life and practice exemplify a deep dedication to human potential and well-being. His compassionate nature is evident in his approach to patient care, where he integrates diverse modalities to address the root causes of discomfort and dysfunction.
“I just enjoy helping people and being able to activate others’ full potential,” he shared.
Patients in Laguna Niguel and Westwood can trust Dr. De Board’s caring and knowledgeable hands, knowing that he will apply his unique blend of Eastern and Western medical insights to help them overcome their challenges. His commitment to holistic healing, coupled with his drive to learn and expand his reach continuously, ensures that Dr. De Board will continue to be a leading figure in empowering individuals to live pain-free and fuller lives. His journey is a powerful reminder that the most effective healing often comes from a doctor who not only understands the mechanics of the body but also the profound impact of the mind and spirit.

Since time began, humans have been controlled and manipulated by every form of fear the dark forces of Earth can create. In this article, I will focus on three types of fear that can be the root cause of diseases in the human body. All unhealthy fear changes the natural biological structure of your cellular body and disrupts the order in which we process information and situations on a cellular level. Therefore, if you desire true physical freedom from outside sources, it is imperative to dig deep within to locate the disrupted conglomerate masses trapped and hiding in your 24 organs.
Lineage Fear
Lineage fear refers to the genetic coding you are born with, being passed down from mother and father, grandmother and grandfather, great-grandparents, and beyond. When our ancestors die with fear that has not been overcome or resolved, it can be passed down to their children and their children, leaving you to not only deal with your own trauma but also saddled with the responsibility of doing the work to clear your lineage. This fear is a cellular vibrational frequency that can be the root cause of cancer, ADHD, OCD, chronic digestive issues, tumors, neurological abnormalities, stress, anxiety, and other forms of physical, mental, and emotional disease. People carrying too much fear from their own past lives and that of their ancestors often have addictive personalities in order to cope with the fear.
Lineage fear is often mislabeled and even unknown as the source of the disease. All my children brought in their own fears they needed to overcome. I believe Big Pharma knows the recipe that triggers these fear imprints through vaccines, and “They” understand how to trigger fears through created world events, indoctrination in schools, media, and false narratives. By tapping into lineage fear imprints, they not only control the masses but also keep them sick. The lower vibrational food people are fed at grocery and convenience stores simply lowers the body’s ability to fight fear triggers, so you get sick. We blame it on the chemicals in the food supply when that is just one of the triggering factors leading to the Fear (False Evidence Appearing Real) response on a cellular level.
The journey to remove lineage fear is not for the faint of heart and requires the assistance of guides who have walked their own fear removal journey. Their wisdom to guide you is authentic because they have walked their own “hero’s journey.” No man-made pharmaceutical can remove these genetic imprints. Conversely, external remedies made by the hand of man do more harm than good.
Real Fear
When I speak of real fear, I’m referring to fear created by this lifetime’s events from the womb to old age that leave lasting cellular imprints within your physiological body. I write about black body masses (BBMs), which are cellular masses stored in our rectifier circuitry that connects our 24 organs. Constricted blood vessels and arteries prevent oxygen and the natural pharmaceuticals we build when we breathe correctly from being delivered throughout the body and organs. Real fear tightens our bodies, making us unable to even function at times. The vasodilator we build through Activation Breathwork journeys is called Nitric Oxide. This
is the Origin of Disease Fear
By Ocean Eagle
molecule expands our arteries and blood vessels, allowing the medicine we build naturally to be delivered throughout our body. My good friend Dr. Nathan Bryan is the founder of N101 and Pneuma Nitric Oxide. He created supplements that assist in creating Nitric Oxide for those who lose the ability to create it naturally.
Real fear can be created in the womb when a pregnant mother experiences traumatic events. For example, repeated anger and arguments between parents, especially with raised voices, can hardwire this fear into the unborn child. After birth, these imprints may be triggered whenever the child hears loud noises or feels similar tension. In these moments, the body instinctively constricts blood vessels and arteries, blocking the delivery of its own natural healing agents. Unknowingly, this reaction can contribute to illness, even if the root cause traces back to the mother’s experiences during pregnancy or complications during delivery. When such fear imprints lead to disease in children, doctors and parents are often left baffled and fearful themselves. In many cases, the true source of the problem is the unseen residue of womb trauma.
As a child, I was subjected to and witnessed many traumatic moments that created debilitating fear in me. When I was 14 years old, I began numbing my fears with alcohol, and alcoholism became my disease of choice for 16 years, keeping me physically sick in many forms. I would often get colds and had horrible allergies that were initially triggered on a ride in a van with my father during my teenage years. My cellular body would tighten up anytime my childhood fears were triggered by life events, lowering my immune system and making me susceptible to getting sick. Again, I believe the root cause of all my sicknesses was from past fears created through multiple traumatic events that I or my family experienced.
When I was about 9 or 10 years old, I was completely mauled by a Chow Chow dog. That BBM would get triggered anytime I heard a dog bark to the point I would completely lock up and not be able to move. BBMs heat up and explode, releasing black body radiation (BBR) into the organ they’re occupying, creating sickness. The more this occurs, the greater the chance for the created disease to take root. It took some 40 years to be okay around dogs, finally. But the fear trigger will never completely go away. Energetically, I can feel and tap into my body’s response while using my own breath to center myself and unlock my constriction. I always like to say, ‘Ten and Five will keep you alive;’ ten power breaths to the belly and then five super slow breaths to regulate your entire system.
Imagined Fear
Imagined, or fantasy fear, is fear that has been created by external programming and not actual events or traumas. As children, we were able to watch TV “programming,” and in modern times, parents use
movies and social media as babysitters via iPad and cell phones. The dark forces on earth are very aware of this and understand that if they can hardwire children before the age of 7, they can use created events and situations to control them and even create diseases through fear-created cellular rearrangements. My research shows the CIA opened an office in Hollywood in the 1950s after WWII and “Project Paperclip,” studying the teachings of the Nazi scientist who taught them about programmed mind control (MK Ultra).
If you go back and study certain popular animated princess and fantasy films from major entertainment companies, you may notice patterns that seem designed to implant fear into children. For decades, these stories often showed princesses without mothers and featured a dark, evil force determined to harm them. In some animated films, frightening creatures appear at night to terrify children and harvest their fear as a source of power. Who would create movies for children like this? Only dark influences, seeking to disrupt the natural order of our cellular structure and genetic programming, keeping us “sick with fear.”
As adults, we watch horror movies and films about world destruction, thinking we are being entertained when we are actually intentionally being programmed with fear and desensitized to horrific images and thoughts. These demonic shows and movies are reactivating cellular fear memories implanted in childhood. Vibrationally, these shows lower our frequency, tighten muscles, restrict our blood flow, deplete our oxygen levels, and turn us into a breeding ground for diseases lying dormant within our organs. We become sick and disease-riddled and allow the outside world to diagnose us falsely, feeding us drugs and claiming they are a treatment for the disease, never the cure!
You hold the cure to your challenges—physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. God designed our bodies with the capability to heal and repair. Through my work with Activation Breathwork, I have seen people restore their well-being on all four levels. Oxygenation is key, as cancer and many other diseases cannot survive in highly oxygenated environments. Yet true healing comes through your intentional commitment to surrender. For most, it takes what I call “the gift of desperation” to go deep enough to reclaim their full power and embark on the journey of healing.

THAT CAN TRANSFORM YOUR HEALTH SPICES EVERYDAY
When it comes to staying healthy, we often think about eating more vegetables, drinking water, or taking supplements. But what if one of the most powerful health upgrades is already sitting in your kitchen cabinet? Spices don’t just make food taste better. They can also play a significant role in how your body feels, heals, and functions every day.
Five standout spices that I include daily in my diet are cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, garlic, and oregano. Of course, many other spices offer health benefits, but these five are my daily, non-negotiable, goto spices. These common ingredients have been used for centuries in traditional cooking and natural medicine, and for good reason. They support immunity, reduce inflammation, aid digestion, and protect the body from damage caused by stress, pollution, and aging.
The best part? They’re inexpensive, easy to use, and incredibly effective when used consistently. You don’t need to be a gourmet chef to take advantage of their benefits, which is a good thing for me. Whether your goal is muscle growth, faster recovery, or general wellness, incorporating these spices into your daily meals can give you a natural edge.
Let’s take a closer look at what makes each of these spices so powerful.
CINNAMON
Cinnamon is a familiar favorite for many people. Whether it’s added to baked goods or stirred into coffee, cinnamon adds a cozy flavor that feels like a warm hug. But beyond its taste, cinnamon also offers several important health benefits.
One of the most notable is its ability to help regulate blood sugar levels. This is especially useful for people who experience energy crashes, sugar cravings, or mood swings throughout the day. Cinnamon contains natural compounds that help the body use insulin more effectively, which can lead to more balanced energy levels and less strain on the body over time.
As a professional bodybuilder, blood sugar control is key when aiming to build lean muscle and reduce fat. Stable insulin levels can help limit fat storage and encourage better nutrient partitioning, meaning your body directs nutrients toward muscle growth rather than fat accumulation. This is why I add cinnamon to my oatmeal, yogurt, protein shakes, and sweet potatoes.
Cinnamon is also rich in antioxidants, which help fight damage from free radicals—unstable molecules that contribute to aging and many chronic illnesses. Some research even suggests that cinnamon may support heart health by lowering cholesterol and blood pressure.
TURMERIC
If you’ve ever had curry or golden milk, you’ve tasted turmeric. It’s known for its bright golden yellow color and has long been used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. This spice is just as valuable in your wellness routine as it is in your spice blend.
The secret behind turmeric’s health power is curcumin, a compound known for its strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Inflammation is your body’s way of dealing with injury or stress. However, when it becomes chronic (meaning it sticks around too long), it can contribute to joint pain, fatigue, and chronic diseases like arthritis or heart issues.
Curcumin helps calm this inflammation and protect your cells from damage. Why does this matter to me as a bodybuilder? Intense workouts cause tiny tears in muscle fibers, leading to inflammation during the repair process. While this is a natural part of muscle growth, too much inflammation can slow down recovery and contribute to chronic joint pain or overtraining symptoms. Curcumin helps reduce excessive inflammation, allowing for faster recovery, less soreness, and improved joint function.
One thing to know is that the body doesn’t easily absorb turmeric on its own. That’s why it’s often paired with black pepper. Not sure how to incorporate turmeric into your diet? I like to add turmeric to my eggs, rice, vegetables, and detox smoothies. You can also make golden milk with turmeric, milk (or a plant-based alternative), cinnamon, ginger, and honey.
GINGER
Ginger is one of the most versatile and widely used spices in the world. Its bold, slightly spicy flavor can brighten up both sweet and savory dishes. But its benefits go far beyond flavor.
Ginger is best known for its ability to ease nausea and support digestion. Whether you’re dealing with motion sickness, morning sickness, or an upset stomach, ginger can help calm things down. It promotes the production of digestive enzymes and helps food move through the digestive tract more smoothly.
Ginger also supports the digestive process, which is often overlooked in bodybuilding nutrition. Proper digestion is essential to absorbing the nutrients from high-protein and high-calorie meals. If your digestive system isn’t functioning optimally, you may not be getting the full benefit of your nutrition plan. Ginger stimulates digestive enzymes, reduces bloating, and helps your body better process large meals.
But ginger’s value goes well beyond digestive aid. For athletes, it offers several key advantages: reduced inflammation, lower muscle pain, and enhanced digestion and nutrient absorption. Like turmeric, ginger contains bioactive compounds (such as gingerol) that reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. This makes it incredibly effective for reducing joint pain, easing postworkout soreness, and promoting faster muscle repair. All music to my ears, especially when training legs.
I use ginger the same way I use turmeric; both go into my detox smoothies. Looking for more ideas? Try adding fresh grated ginger to stir-fries and marinades. You can also make ginger tea by steeping fresh slices in hot water with lemon and honey, or sprinkle powdered ginger into oatmeal and baked goods.
GARLIC: NATURE’S IMMUNE BOOSTER
Garlic is one of the oldest natural remedies on record, and it still holds up today. While it’s a flavor favorite in cuisines all over the world, garlic’s real strength lies in its powerful immune-boosting and heart-supporting properties.
The key compound in garlic is allicin, which is released when garlic is chopped, crushed, or chewed. Allicin has strong antimicrobial properties, helping the body fight off bacteria, viruses, and even fungi. That’s why garlic is often recommended as a natural remedy for colds, coughs, and minor infections.
From a cardiovascular perspective, garlic has been shown to reduce blood pressure and improve cholesterol profiles. For athletes and bodybuilders such as myself, healthy circulation means better oxygen delivery to muscles, improved endurance, and faster recovery. Some studies even suggest that garlic supplementation can increase peak exercise capacity and reduce fatigue.
Garlic is also rich in antioxidants, protecting cells from damage and supporting the detoxification processes that help your body bounce back from intense training. It may even support detoxification by helping the liver process and eliminate toxins more effectively.
My favorite way to enjoy my vegetables is to sauté them in garlic and olive oil. The aroma of the garlic roasting in the olive oil – delightful. For maximum benefit, let chopped garlic sit for 5–10 minutes before cooking—it allows the allicin to activate fully.
OREGANO
Oregano is more than just a topping for pizza or a garnish on pasta. It’s a potent antioxidant and antimicrobial herb that can help the body fight off infections, support gut health, and enhance recovery. It contains carvacrol and thymol, two natural substances with strong antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral effects.
These compounds make oregano an excellent supporter of immune health. During cold and flu season, oregano can help your body defend itself naturally. It may also support gut health by fighting off harmful bacteria and promoting a healthy balance of microbes in your digestive system. Oregano is also high in antioxidants, which help protect your body from cell damage and inflammation. While fresh oregano is great, dried oregano is even more concentrated and easier to keep on hand.
For athletes, especially those in heavy training phases or during travel and competition seasons, oregano can act as a natural defense system. It may also help balance the gut microbiome—a critical factor in overall health, nutrient absorption, and even mood regulation.
A healthy gut means better digestion, less inflammation, and a stronger immune response. Considering the physical demands placed on the body by intense training, maintaining immune health is non-negotiable. The less time you spend sick or rundown, the more consistent and productive your training will be.
Oregano also acts as a natural preservative in foods, which is why it’s often used in meal prep and storage-friendly recipes. Sprinkle dried oregano on roasted vegetables, pasta, chicken, or soups. Fresh oregano can be chopped and added to salads or infused into oils for dressings.
HOW THESE SPICES SUPPORT WHOLE-BODY WELLNESS
One of the best things about these spices is how they complement one another—both in flavor and function. They each support different parts of the body, but many of their benefits overlap, creating a stronger effect when used together. For example:
• Cinnamon and ginger can balance blood sugar and improve digestion, making them perfect for stabilizing energy throughout the day.
• Turmeric and black pepper reduce inflammation and support joint health.
• Garlic and oregano provide a powerful immune-boosting combo.
• Ginger and turmeric soothe the stomach and help ease aches and pains.
Now you understand why, as an athlete, these are my favorite spices. And you don’t need to use large amounts. Plus, they are perfect to mix together. Even small, consistent doses added to daily meals can gradually support your health and help prevent many common ailments.
SIMPLE WAYS TO USE THESE SPICES EVERY DAY
Incorporating these spices into your routine doesn’t require a complete kitchen makeover. It’s easy to start with what you’re already eating and find creative ways to add extra flavor and nutrition. I’ve shared with you some of the ways I incorporate these spices into my daily diet. Here are a few more ideas:
• Breakfast: Add cinnamon and/or ginger to oatmeal, pancakes, smoothies, or tea.
• Lunch: Use turmeric and black pepper in soups, rice bowls, or roasted vegetables.
• Dinner: Cook with garlic and oregano in pasta dishes, grilled chicken, or stir-fries.
• Snacks: Sip ginger tea or turmeric golden milk in the afternoon or evening.
• Meal Prep: Season large batches of food with these spices to add flavor and long-lasting health benefits.
You don’t need to change your whole menu—just enhance what you’re already making with smart, flavorful additions.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR EVERYONE
In today’s world, we’re all juggling busy lives, trying to stay healthy, and often feeling like we don’t have time to think about nutrition in detail. That’s what makes these five spices so helpful—they’re a simple, natural, and affordable way to support your health, no matter your age or lifestyle.
They don’t require a prescription. They don’t come with a long list of side effects. They don’t even cost much. Yet they offer real, research-backed benefits for your immune system, your digestion, your heart, your joints, and your energy.
And perhaps just as important, they make your meals more delicious, which makes eating healthy feel less like a chore and more like a joy.
FINAL THOUGHTS: SMALL ADDITIONS, BIG IMPACT
Cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, garlic, and oregano may seem like small additions to your meals, but their impact on your health can be surprisingly significant. These spices have stood the test of time in kitchens around the world, and for good reason.
They help your body fight inflammation, stay energized, digest food more easily, and defend against illness. Best of all, they’re easy to use and enjoy.
So, the next time you’re reaching for seasonings, remember: you’re not just adding flavor—you’re adding powerful support for your well-being. Spice by spice, meal by meal, you’re building a foundation for a healthier, more vibrant life.
