Lemmings boasts 86% of her business comes from referrals. She contributes her success to her belief in the golden rule.
From foster kid to successful real estate agent, June Lemmings has truly achieved her calling in helping others to fulfill their dreams. “I was a foster kid,” states June, “and I used to tell my younger sisters and brothers that I was going to someday help us all buy nice houses.” Today, June has done just that. She has been in business for over 20 years and has a full team who serves the northern Colorado area. With approximately 100 transactions per year, June’s team averages 35 million in home sales annually.
But things weren’t always so easy. As a young mother, June found herself being forced to leave her current residence and move back to Colorado 21 years ago to start over. Fortunately, she came across an ad that would forever change her life. Calling a real estate investor that had posted “why rent, when you can own?” June moved into one of the investor’s vacant properties. To help get her back on her feet, the investor offered her free rent for work in return.

During this time, she learned a lot about the industry and made her investor a great deal of money. This experience led June to the desire to gain her own real estate license. As June put it, “After helping these investors make money, I wanted to help the normal, average person buy a home and with their real estate investments.”

Now, with 86% of her business coming from referrals, June contributes her success to her belief in the golden rule. “Treat people like you want to be treated.” And then they refer her to their friends and family. Just by speaking with June, you can tell she is truly compassionate about her clients. She attests to the belief that building relationships is key to success. Since the act of buying or selling a home is usually connected to a significant event in one’s life such as a birth, marriage, divorce, death, or relocation, she knows that establishing a personal connection to a customer is essential in helping them to achieve their goals.

In fact, June is utilizing her name month this coming June to invite all her past and current clients to her home for an exciting social event. She and her husband are going to use their huge smoker to host a fun barbeque. Planning events is something June loves to do for her clients. It helps her to stay engaged and keeps her connected. She also markets her business through word of mouth, online advertising, direct mail, various magazines and open houses.

June Lemmings has always been a giver and despite her success spends more time than ever helping others in the community. Most recently she was asked to be the keynote speaker for an event held by the Genesis Project, a local faith-based organization working to empower single moms. Whether they come from an abusive relationship, poverty, homelessness, or addiction, the Genesis Project believed June was the perfect person to share her story of success and triumph. June also works with and helps her local Habitat for Humanity, Life Stories for Abused Kids, Zacs Legacy for Kids, Women’s Fund, 60+ Ride the group Women to Women, and six local underserved schools.
When not working or giving back June enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, camping, and boating.
When it comes to the future, June wants to continue helping her clients and grow her business. Now that she has found success, she knows she can help others. As she puts it, “I really can give back and pour into people and help them through the different life stages with real estate.”
