Opened in 2017 by James Bernoski and his wife, Amada Senior Care helps seniors age in their own homes, assisting with everyday activities like bathing, dressing, medication reminders and errands so that they can remain in the places they love most.

As a former bedside nurse himself, Bernoski has seen firsthand how important this style of senior care can be and how much it is poised to grow in the near future.

“All of our Baby Boomers are aging and they will need care — COVID really brought to the forefront how beneficial it can be to stay in your home for the long term,” Bernoski said. “We have nurses on staff and all of our clients are overseen by a nurse. We specialize in long-term care insurance claims and we’re also the exclusive provider of home care for the NFLPA alumni.”

Today, as the owner of a critical and growing business, Bernoski’s nurturing nature is focused on supporting his team at Amada as well as the seniors it serves.

Bernoski has been awarded the ABC 36 2022 Viewers Choice Award and was also nominated by the state for a legislative award.

“I enjoy helping everyone become the best they can be,” he said. “I try and motivate them to do what is best for the patient. I feel like a teammate for my employees.”
